Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 619: Chapter 618: Please Do Not Randomly Switch Instances

So, you’re telling me this isn’t Resident Evil?

Looking at the horde of zombies on the streets of Rio de Janeiro, Fang Zheng felt he might have unwittingly crossed into another world again.

Otherwise, how do you explain that we were just playing with vampires earlier in the night, and now it’s turned into Resident Evil? What’s this about?

But after observing these zombies more closely, Fang Zheng noticed something peculiar.

This... these aren’t zombies, these are ghouls!

But why would so many ghouls emerge overnight?

Fang Zheng was puzzled and couldn’t figure out what was going on. However, thinking about the mysterious disappearance of the remnants of the Third Reich... wait a second, those guys didn’t come here to plant a flag, could they have gone to London to cause trouble?

At that thought, Fang Zheng’s eyes lit up.

Right, even if those four were secretly in a passionate affair, they wouldn’t be on the phone at the same time. How awkward would it be if one of them got caught by the other? So, they might mean that the remaining vampire army has gone to London... But with those vampires, what could they possibly do?

Fang Zheng was also skeptical of this. Although the United Kingdom wasn’t what it used to be—Old Buddha had taken the money for building warships to build gardens, to the point where they were so poor they couldn’t even put together a carrier fleet, just one lonely carrier drifting in the Atlantic Ocean—oh, that carrier had also been scrapped by him, now the once maritime ruler truly had no carriers left to use.

But that’s London, the capital of a nation! You vampires, if you went to some remote rural village to show off, I might believe it, but causing trouble in London? Are you under the impression that missiles and supersonic fighters are made of paper? This isn’t the Middle Ages; satellites are flying everywhere in the sky. You’re not thinking of pulling off another blitzkrieg, are you?

Not to mention, after the Hellsing headquarters was attacked, Intagura also realized the severity of the situation through Fang Zheng’s complaints—a bunch of vampires running around the capital with heavy equipment unobstructed, and no one cares. They were lucky they weren’t attacking Buckingham Palace, otherwise, Britain would be in serious trouble!

Admittedly, Fang Zheng made a lot of sense, and after Intagura came to his senses, he broke out in a cold sweat. Consequently, security at Buckingham Palace was also tightened. Now, if you vampires try to repeat the past, you’re likely to be delivering your heads on a platter... But hold on, how did that carrier get overrun?

Thinking about it, according to Intagura, there was a vampire traitor inside the carrier who cooperated with the others to control the entire vessel. Otherwise, it would be daydreaming to think that a few hundred vampires could control a carrier that large without prior preparation.

As for why those people betrayed them, Fang Zheng could guess with his toes it was all about immortality, a standard practice. Ancient emperors couldn’t resist the temptation, so it’s even less likely for these modern people with weaker wills... Hmm? Could it be these guys are playing the same trick again?

The more he thought about it, the more Fang Zheng felt this was highly probable. This group wasn’t large, but they relied on the ability to artificially create vampires everywhere under this guise, and who knows how many downlines they’ve developed. Plus, no one knows where these downlines are. If they had infiltrated important military facilities in the United Kingdom and then seized the right moment for a ”change of heaven”... Wait, could this be why their phones are unreachable?

Oh crap, this is not good!

Realizing this, Fang Zheng was shocked.

Alucard, that bastard, is going to steal my kills!

Those are all my firewood!!

Alucard, stop right now!!

While shouting internally, Fang Zheng turned his head and dashed toward London at breakneck speed.

And at that moment, London had already plunged into a sea of flames.

”Those damn bastards...”

Sitting in the car, speeding along the highway and looking at the zeppelins in the sky, Intagura also showed a teeth-gritting expression.

No one expected London to come under attack, especially not at this time!

Just as Fang Zheng had thought, nearly all military institutions had been infiltrated by the vampires, with many having quietly turned into vampires themselves. Even Integra had been ambushed by a group of rebellious vampire soldiers during a meeting. If Walter hadn’t been by her side at the time, Integra’s situation would likely have become far worse.

Moreover, the most crucial point was that since London’s defense systems had been occupied by the vampires, their zeppelins could brazenly fly into the city without encountering any attack! Anti-aircraft missiles became mere ornaments, and the airplanes didn’t make a move. Instead, they were bombed by the enemy, turning the whole of London into a sea of flames!

Hundreds of elite vampire soldiers leapt from the zeppelins, rampaging through London, killing every person they saw and cruelly devouring their flesh and blood, turning them into ghouls devoid of any reason or thought... And all of this was the doing of the damned remnants of the Third Reich!

For the world, the war had ended. But for them, the war continued! Perhaps only when they died would the war truly end!

Those damned warmongers!

Because the enemy had destroyed their communication system, Integra was now unable to contact Alucard and Fang Zheng. Otherwise, one phone call and finding just one of them would end the disaster in London immediately. Integra didn’t believe that the zeppelins could continue to flaunt their power in front of a giant dragon, but unfortunately, Alucard was at the Hellsing headquarters in the suburbs, and Fang Zheng had disappeared without a trace— she didn’t know if he would return...

Thinking of Fang Zheng, Integra scoffed coldly. If he had left just half a day later, such a disaster might not have occurred. But it was too late now, and discussing it was meaningless. What she needed to do was to hurry back to the Hellsing headquarters to find Alucard and Seras and deal with everything!

”Boom!!”

Just then, a flash of fire erupted from outside the vehicle, and Integra quickly turned the steering wheel, dodging the sudden explosion. Then she looked back over her shoulder and saw several eerie shadows on the street behind her, rushing towards her car at a speed no human could possess.

Without Walter by her side, having left to combat those creatures, Integra was completely alone. But all she could do was leave this place!

”These damn, relentless bastards!”

As Integra cursed softly again, suddenly, another rocket grazed by the car she was driving and exploded on the ground ahead. The fire burst into the air, and although Integra turned the steering wheel in an attempt to dodge the blast, she was driving a car, not a divine artifact. Soon, under the force of the blast wave, the car crashed into a wall on the side and then came to a halt.

”Catch her quick!”

Seeing the target vehicle stop, the pursuing vampires became excited. One of the vampires leaped forward, arrived in front of the car, then raised the bayonet in hand.

”Integra Hellsing! On the orders of our squad commander, die——!”

But before the vampire could swing its bayonet, accompanied by countless pages falling from the sky, sharp and lethal long blades rained down like a storm, instantly turning it into a pile of indistinct bloody fragments.

”Hmph, the Vatican finally couldn’t hold back, could it?”

Alucard’s eyes reflected a bright red gleam as he looked at the arriving helicopter squadron from the sky.

”Those Catholics, they really dare to brazenly set foot on heretic land, no... for them, this is yet another crusade. The expulsion of heretics, the recovery of lost territories, the stupidity of humankind truly has not changed over the thousands of years.”

”MASTER.”

Standing behind Alucard, Seras asked hesitantly.

”Is Lady Integra okay? Shouldn’t we go find her?”

”That is my duty. You just need to ensure this place is guarded well,” Alucard said, picking up his hat.

”War, huh? Mad Major, if you so desire war, then so be it... This is war!”
