Chapter 622: Chapter 621 Fang Zheng’s Battlefield (Part 2)

At this moment within the City of London, within the Dead River, tens of thousands from the Undead Legion had already collided with the vampires and the Crusaders, initiating a fierce battle.

At this moment, facing the terrifying Undead Legion, the originally hostile sides spontaneously united. The Crusaders raised their shields in front, while the vampires desperately unleashed artillery fire, trying to eradicate the Undead Legion before them. But their efforts were like trying to extinguish a raging fire with a cup of water in the face of the flood-like condensed Undead Legion.

Soon, the Undead Legion gathered on the streets ”flowed downstream,” quickly converging and advancing like a literal ”sea of people.” Against such a scourge, even the heavily equipped Crusader Knights and the vampires were helpless. The leading line of defense was quickly overrun by the Undead Legion, and the rear lines also began to show signs of collapse.

This is the price you pay as invaders!

Intagura watched the Crusaders and vampires being devoured by the Undead Legion, her gaze cold and filled with killing intent. These people had laid waste to this city, but now, they too would be destroyed.

”...Hmm?”

But just as Intagura believed the situation was settled, suddenly, she saw a bright red appear under the previously pitch-black night sky.

What is that?

At first, Intagura thought dawn had arrived, and what she saw was supposed to be the morning glow. But soon, she realized something was amiss. The bright red ”morning glow,” like flames, spread out, rapidly rushing towards London. Subsequently, as the clouds parted, a massive figure appeared before everyone in the next moment.

”That is...”

Seeing the terrifying shadow emerge, everyone involved in the battle stopped in their tracks – vampires, Crusaders, and even the Undead Legion, which seemed to have long since turned into the undead, instinctively turned their heads to look in the direction of the giant dragon. Even Maxwell, who was surveying the battlefield from the sky, and Alucard, upon seeing the massive figure, couldn’t help but shudder.

The reason was nothing else; it was humans’ inevitable reaction when facing a higher being.

Because they could instinctively feel that what appeared before them was a higher lifeform with power, stature, and rank far exceeding theirs, positioned at the very top of the world.

”Whoo...”

The giant dragon flapped its wings, soaring past above the city. With each flap of its wings, you could see burning flames manifest behind them, and the places the giant dragon passed seemed to be invaded by a flame storm. Buildings tilted and collapsed, while the trees on the streets were burnt to the point where not even branches were left, only pitch-black trunks remained.

And behind it was a bright red trail of fiery clouds.

Nothing could stand in its way, not even the Crusaders’ armed helicopters madly unleashing ammunition at the dragon or the vampires’ zeppelins could stop its advance. On the contrary, any flying machines bold enough to block its path were immediately caught in the violent airstream, spiraling out before crashing to the ground, turning into balls of bright red fire.

”Boom!!”

The giant dragon landed heavily not far from the battlefield on the High Tower, its two front claws gripping the tower, staring down at the battlefield before it. Being watched by the giant dragon, all sides felt a surge of fear in their hearts.

But then, they saw the dragon raise its head and open its mouth to draw a deep breath...

Seeing this scene, everyone deep down had a sinking feeling that something bad was about to happen. If this dragon resembled those described in movies, novels, fairy tales, and such, then it seemed to be...

Before they could figure it out, the scorching flames burst forth from the Giant Dragon in the air, covering the entire battlefield like an enormous flamethrower.

Since Fang Zheng’s Power of Time had not yet recovered, he was unable to use ”Breath of Plunder” and ”Breath of Banishment.” However, on the flip side, because he had obtained Primordial Fire, Fang Zheng could finally breathe fire like a regular Giant Dragon!

Indeed, a fire-breathing Giant Dragon really has style!

The scalding flames engulfed the entire battlefield, and before Fang Zheng’s Soulfire, nothing could withstand the onslaught of the fire. Soon, accompanied by the roaring inferno, the Vampires began to scream. They raised their hands in a futile attempt to fend off the power of the flames, but the burning Soulfire instantly turned them into flaming figures. These Vampires wailed and shrieked within the flames, only to turn into piles of black ash, scattering and vanishing into the air.

The Crusaders didn’t fare any better. Their massive shields, as tall as they were, provided no escape from disaster. Before the Giant Dragon’s fire even reached them, those thick and sturdy shields melted like butter, turning into a stream of red-hot molten metal that flowed down.

As for the armor on the Knights, it goes without saying. The scorching red-hot molten metal infiltrated their flesh, and amidst the screams, their tightly-formed ranks collapsed instantly. Even the most resolute and devout Knights couldn’t endure turning into grilled meat. Desperately, they flailed their arms, trying to do something to stop it all. Yet, tragically, before they could make any move, the onrushing flames had completely engulfed them.

When the flames subsided, the entire square was spotless clean. Whether it was the Vampire Legion, the Crusaders, or the Undead Legion released by Alucard, all traces had vanished. Even the green stone flooring was gone, leaving only a vast crater, with magma flowing unstoppably and flames burning fiercely beside it.

”Hiss...”

Seeing this scene, everyone gasped in shock. If before they had no tangible impression of a dragon’s destructive power, then now, they had personally experienced the terrifying might of this fearsome enemy!

To think that nearly ten thousand people, armed to the teeth, counting Soldiers, The Undead, and even mighty creatures, could not withstand a single breath from this Giant Dragon!

Just one strike, and everything vanished in the flames!

”Huff, huff, huff...”

Looking at the Giant Dragon’s huge form not far away, Alucard grinned, revealing an excited smile.

”That’s right, it has to be like this. If not, it would be a letdown of my expectations for you...”

At this moment, as if hearing Alucard speak, the Giant Dragon slowly turned its head, its golden eyes staring coldly at Alucard.

”I once thought that only humans could kill me...”

While speaking, Alucard raised his right hand. As he did so, a new wave of Dead River emerged from the shadows.

”But now... Let’s see your strength, Giant Dragon!!”

”—————!!”

And facing Alucard’s challenge, the Giant Dragon let out a roar of fury. Then, as Alucard suddenly raised his hands, the hundreds of thousands of the Undead Legion also abruptly coalesced, transforming into a gigantic pitch-black Creature that lunged towards the Giant Dragon!
