The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 400: Chapter 400: How Did You Get Full Marks on Such a Difficult Essay?_1

Moreover, the difficulty of the independent admission exam at Tsinghua University this time, I heard it’s up to the Olympiad standard—leaving aside liberal arts, the difficulty for science subjects is comparable to advanced mathematics competitions!

Ms. Quinlan scored full marks!

That essay with not many words, I have seen it, starting from the perspective of traditional culture, it’s written with such power and grandeur that it makes one’s blood boil.

The entire essay is unrestrained and wild, yet it can’t suppress the passion deep in the bones.

Even a rough man like myself would want to give that essay a full score, so it’s really not excessive for the literature professors at Tsinghua to award it full marks!

But... 650, full marks, ah!!

points, not a single point deducted!

What does that even mean?

Alfred Garland had experienced such things before, so when he saw Zeus Tanzil, the young master of the Tanzil Family coming over to hit on Nathalie Quinlan, it wasn’t as shocking anymore.

After all, believe in Ms. Quinlan, and anything is possible!

Silvania Ingram is even friends with Ms. Quinlan.

Mr. Yapiter also came to the Waterfront Pavilion to celebrate Ms. Quinlan’s birthday.

With Zeus Tanzil just attempting to flirt, Alfred became composed.

At the moment, he was trying his best to control the excitement in his heart, and his look at Nathalie changed, he couldn’t help but interrupt with a question, ”Ms. Quinlan, what time did you come out of the exam room, didn’t you hand in your paper early?”

”Hmm?” Nathalie was suddenly called out, her eyebrows moved slightly, she raised her eyes puzzledly towards him, and answered somewhat perplexed, ”No.”

”You didn’t hand in your paper early?” Alfred couldn’t believe it, given her fluency in answering the mathematics and science questions, it was unscientific for her not to finish early.

Nathalie was holding her phone in her hand, still vibrating with incoming messages, presumably from people in Class A. She didn’t look at it, her expression somewhat helpless, but she confirmed with certainty, ”Not early. The essay was tough to write, and I wasted some time on it.”

It was Ghania Quinlan who handed in her paper ten minutes early, with a confident expression on her face as she walked out, seeming very confident.

”...” Alfred was sent reeling by her casual remark about the essay being tough to write, unable to find a response for a long while.

Essay tough to write, yet you scored the only full marks for the essay at Tsinghua!

If the essay had been easy to write, wouldn’t you have soared to the heavens?!

He thought of his own bitter days during exams, and looking at Nathalie now, he felt too crestfallen to speak.

Alright then, the top students are always composed, it’s only the poor students who are forever agitated!

Amadeus Yancey also knew Nathalie’s score. He didn’t question her incessantly like Alfred Garland. With a noble and lazy look on his face that was just as composed as Nathalie’s, both were outrageously calm!

”What do you want to eat for lunch?”

Nathalie was more concerned about this, lifting her eyes, her black pupils like ink met his gaze, ”I don’t know what is good to eat in Beijing, could you lead the way?”

Hadn’t Alfred said that Beijing was his territory?

It wouldn’t be too much to ask a local to show the way, right?

The depths of Amadeus Yancey’s eyes seemed capable of drawing one in, that gentle tilt of his head as warm as an April day, ”How about trying hot pot?”

Beijing is renowned for its mutton hot pot!

He could take Nathalie to a more upscale place, but he knew her tastes when it came to food—she looked for flavor and not the setting. A delicious taste attracted her more than a fancy restaurant.

Just like how she loves Aunt Cagwin’s spicy hot pot!

Nathalie seemed to have a special interest in hot pot.

Beijing hot pot is most famous for its mutton.

”Hot pot with mutton slices?” Indeed, Nathalie instantly understood his mention of hot pot, her eyes seemed to brighten a bit more than before, showing interest, ”Where is it?”

”A little alleyway. I often go there to eat, the taste is good. If you like it spicier, you can ask the boss to prepare a special dip for you; his wife is from San Monique.”
