The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 365: Chapter 365: Is Nathalie Quinlan Lighten Chaser?_1

Open, power on.

Done in one go!

After the computer booted up, the screen went straight to the desktop.

There weren’t many programs on her desktop, aside from a few that came with the computer. Her desktop was clean, with only a few seemingly boring stock trading programs.

There was an incomprehensible software program called Nuendo, recognized by those who play music, it’s a scoring software that could record your melody and arrange it on the fly.

Once in the interface, her pale hands first clicked to check the stock market overview, then casually tossed a few stocks into the background.

She promptly closed the stock market software, not like those stock traders who constantly scrutinize the market.

After disposing of the stocks, she opened Nuendo.

There was a track that had already been completed. Nathalie Quinlan rose from her bed, rummaged through a pile of clutter to find her headphones, and sat back down. She plugged the headphones into the computer, carelessly inserted them into her ears, rested one hand on her thigh, leaned back casually, and hit the play button.

Those familiar with Lighten Chaser’s style knew.

Lighten Chaser didn’t play what you’d call sophisticated music; ’he’ played rock.

The style of the music was enigmatic. While most musicians followed conventional patterns in arranging their music, ’he’ did not.

Lighten Chaser’s music was whimsical yet exhilarating.

It played to the heartbeat!

The combination of electronic keyboard and Konghou blended classical and rock, making every listener’s eardrum pulse with the beat.

’His’ music had the reggae punk that black people liked, the briskness of folk jazz, but most of all, ’his’ exuberant personal style, wild, arrogant, and unrestrained!

All sorts of music, possible or not, you might hear in ’his’ compositions.

Because of this unique style, in the underground rock Circle, Lighten Chaser was revered like a deity. Those underground musicians, who respected no one, secretly admired one person—Lighten Chaser.

At a music festival, the mere rumor that ’Lighten Chaser’ might show up was enough to draw free-spirited musicians.

Even when the Organizer no-showed them in the end, these musicians were willing.

Because Lighten Chaser was so elusive.

’To date,’ Lighten Chaser’s popularity nearly rivaled first-line stars, yet the number of people who had seen ’him’ were few and far between.

It’s not like Lighten Chaser never showed his face, though.

’He’ would release an audio of every single track he played, and in those audios, you could see a figure through a backlit lens.

But Lighten Chaser always wore a Duckbill Cap, the lens kept at a distance, blurring ’his’ face, leading everyone to a vague consensus—Lighten Chaser was a man.

And a young one at that, boasting a pair of exceptionally beautiful hands, evenly fleshed, with fluid lines.

The certainty of ’his’ manhood, despite the unclear face, was probably because everyone carried the notion that a woman couldn’t produce such badass rock, and it was rare for a woman to look that cool.

Nathalie Quinlan never read online comments, and she didn’t care whether the outsiders thought of her as a man or a woman. She had started this music account simply out of a pure impulse touched by Shawn Norton, wanting to promote her traditional culture in her own way.

With one hand propping up her chin, she lounged with her eyes closed, her hand hanging by her side, leisurely listening to the track playing in her Eardrums.

This track was something she had worked on six months ago; having never finished the final parts of the arrangement, she hadn’t released it.

Today, Shawn Norton came looking for her, and she suddenly remembered this matter. Seeing as she had time before sleep, she decided to finish it.
