The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 392: Chapter 392: First, Take a Look at Nathalie Quinlan’s Paper_1

Derliand Gober hadn’t expected her to also have papers she wanted to look at; he was quite surprised, ”Has Professor Wafford taken an interest in a student?”

An interested student? Adelle Wafford let out a snort of laughter but didn’t deny it, merely saying, ”You could say that, I just want to see her grades—our Clinical Department certainly wouldn’t accept her.”

As soon as she said this, Derliand Gober immediately remembered what a teacher from the Clinical Department had mentioned before. Adelle Wafford had taken a liking to a student to the extent of personally traveling to McKinney to poach them, offering a guaranteed spot at Tsinghua University as an incentive. The student had been unmoved and rejected her.

And it was just her luck that she had taken an interest in the Department of Chinese Medicine, the Clinical Department’s arch-nemesis.

That student’s name seemed to be... Nathalie Quinlan?

It was said that her local academic performance was not particularly good. The fact that Adelle Wafford proposed to see this student’s grades in advance suggested she probably wanted to humiliate her.

Derliand Gober became silent, simply feeling that, as a well-known domestic expert and a teacher, aside from everything else, she was rather petty-minded.

...

Soon, the exam time arrived.

Papers were delivered to the Academic Affairs Office one after another.

Derliand Gober was looking for Ghania Quinlan’s paper, while Adelle Wafford was looking for Nathalie Quinlan’s.

While searching, just by chance, they discovered that both sets of papers were from the same examination room, and they each took out the ones they wanted to look at.

Derliand Gober was the epitome of a gentleman as he offered, ”Professor Wafford, would you like to look at your paper first?”

However, Adelle Wafford had other plans and bluntly rejected the offer, ”No need, let’s look at your paper first!”

The paper Derliand Gober wanted to look at certainly wouldn’t have poor grades. What’s the ultimate face slap wasn’t doing poorly in the beginning, but rather when the person before you performs well and then it’s your turn and you do terribly—that’s the ultimate face slap!

She really disliked that girl named Nathalie Quinlan. Since she wanted to knock down her pride, of course, it would be best to make Nathalie and the Department of Chinese Medicine become this year’s biggest joke together!

”Alright then, I will start with my paper,” said Derliand Gober without further courtesy, and he called over a few teachers to help him with the grading first.

The teachers divided the work and graded quickly, cross-referencing with the answer key, spending about 5 minutes each; in less than 20 minutes, Ghania Quinlan’s paper was reviewed.

When the results of the paper came out.

Everyone revealed satisfied expressions.

An English teacher couldn’t help but remark, ”This Ghania Quinlan’s grades are quite good; she did particularly well in the English cloze test. I think with these grades she could be admitted this year.”

Adelle Wafford, watching the commotion with no concern for its magnitude, asked, ”How many points?”

”The total score?”

Everyone tallied it up.

”588, just shy of 600.”

These were not bad grades, at least top-tier ones.

Both Derliand Gober and Adelle Wafford showed satisfied smiles.

Now that Ghania Quinlan’s paper’s results were out, she immediately took Nathalie Quinlan’s paper and glanced over the filled pages disdainfully, saying, ”Help me look at this paper.”

”Sure.”

The teachers looked at the name on the paper, Nathalie Quinlan.

Just like Derliand Gober’s initial reaction, they all thought it was a coincidence.

One was Ghania Quinlan.

The next one was Nathalie Quinlan.

But there were too many people in the country with the same surname; they didn’t think much of it and began to focus on grading the papers at hand.

The deeper they went into grading, the more solemn and meticulous their expressions became.

The atmosphere in the room turned heavy.

Adelle Wafford was originally waiting to enjoy a good laugh, but seeing everyone’s silence, she couldn’t help but frown and joined them to see how they were grading the papers.

In the office of the president of Tsinghua University, the atmosphere was equally heavy.

The president was looking at the man playing with his phone on his office’s sofa, someone twice as perplexing as most, completely unable to fathom why a member of the Yancey family had shown up in his office and wouldn’t leave.
