The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 386: Chapter 386: Finally See Amadeus’s Own Car_1

Alfred Garland’s eyes were glued to the sight: ”Ms. Quinlan, your outfit...”

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t realize what was wrong, standing there, her posture carefree and wild as she raised her eyebrows, ”What’s the matter?”

Alfred Garland touched the tip of his nose, shook his head, and withdrew his gaze, ”Nothing, nothing at all.”

He just hoped that when Amadeus Yancey saw Ms. Quinlan dressed like this going to the university, he wouldn’t have a heart attack.

...

When they went downstairs, Amadeus Yancey had already driven the car out and was waiting outside.

This was the first time Nathalie Quinlan saw Amadeus Yancey’s car.

The black sedan had sleek lines, a classic front design, and a waterfall grille made of 36 chrome-plated bars paired with the bright trim on the front bumper, creating a look that was both retro and stylish.

The boxy rear end conveyed a solemn and upright image, with vertical taillights that protruded from the back, giving a luxurious look from the side and rear.

The car, much like him, was low-key and restrained.

Nathalie noticed the car’s badge even more. The bright red of the badge contrasted sharply with the understated luxury of the car itself, like a sudden flash of brazen color!

She had seen this badge before.

HQ.

The king of domestic cars.

She had wanted to buy one before but gave up on the idea since living in the Quinlan Family home was not convenient, so she never made a purchase.

However, when she saw the car, she took a liking to the HQL5 model.

The base price for the entire car was about 5 million, twice as expensive as Audrick Zachmann’s Phaeton, and that was just for the basic edition. Nathalie glanced at the car in front of her and immediately judged that his model was at least a high-end version.

As for whether there were even higher specifications inside, she couldn’t tell at the moment.

That is to say, the car Amadeus Yancey was driving might be a domestic brand, but its price was anything but, and this car... if she remembered correctly, wasn’t something one could simply buy. Especially the series Amadeus Yancey was driving, without certain connections, it was really hard to get!

She lifted the corners of her eyes, her black pupils like ink, deep and dark, and silently memorized the license plate number, pondering over whether she should investigate someone’s background.

There was only one Yancey Family in Beijing.

But what Amadeus Yancey’s exact status was within the Yancey Family, she had never looked into before.

”Ms. Quinlan, what are you standing there for, get in the car,” Alfred Garland, walking behind her, said with a laugh as he helped her open the car door.

The man in the driver’s seat also rolled down the window, resting his elbow on the edge, with the Buddhist beads on his wrist particularly eye-catching.

His look was sharp, and his voice deep and enticing, ”Get in.”

Nathalie withdrew her line of sight and got in the car first.

You wouldn’t think it from the outside, but once inside, she found the space to be quite vast, and the leather seats soft and comfortable.

Nathalie sat by the car window, rolled it down, and looking at the time, asked him, ”We have 20 minutes left, can we make it?”

Amadeus Yancey glanced at her through the rearview mirror, his thin lips curving up with confidence and composure, ”Don’t worry, 10 minutes will be enough.”

Alfred also got in the car and took the passenger seat.

Amadeus Yancey started the car, one foot on the accelerator, his voice deep as a drumbeat, ”Fasten your seatbelt, we’re off.”

Nathalie found the seatbelt, pulled it across, and secured it around herself.

The car started off smoothly.

All along the way, the greenbelt on both sides kept receding; Amadeus Yancey’s driving was very steady, and though the car didn’t seem to be going fast, it constantly passed other vehicles on the road, quickly reaching the intersection with traffic control Alfred had mentioned.

She didn’t know what the traffic police there had seen, but before their car even arrived, they began directing the removal of the barricades, allowing their vehicle to proceed through...
