The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 356: Chapter 356: The Person Mr. Norton Wants to Meet is Nathalie Quinlan_1

Amadeus Yancey hooked his thin lips up and picked up his phone to send her his location.

Nathalie Quinlan received the location, lifted her phone toward him, and with a gangster-like glint in her eye said, ”Got it. I’ll take a cab over tonight.”

Amadeus Yancey looked up, ”Send me your location, and I’ll have Alfred Garland pick you up.”

Alfred Garland also realized what was happening and immediately expressed, ”Yeah, Ms. Quinlan, just send me your location when it’s time, and I’ll come to pick you up. Taking a cab is so much trouble in Beijing, it’s hard to find one.”

Nathalie Quinlan thought for a moment and didn’t insist, ”Okay.”

...

Shawn Norton was waiting at the teahouse next to the restaurant for the person he hadn’t seen in a long time.

About ten minutes passed when a girl dressed in a hoodie, paired with jeans and wearing a pair of black high-top Converse shoes, came over led by a waiter.

The girl wore a duckbill cap that covered most of her face, revealing only her chin. From the smooth contour lines of her side face, one could glimpse her beautiful features hidden beneath the cap.

Having not seen her for a long time, Shawn Norton felt somewhat excited and almost couldn’t help but stand up.

”A glass of plain water for me, thanks,” the girl’s voice wasn’t the sweet and soft kind but was somewhat husky.

But it wasn’t too husky either, low and smooth like the bubbling of a spring, gentle and slow to the ear.

The waiter, a young girl, blushed when she heard her cool tone and quickly replied with her earlobes flushed red, ”Okay, okay. Please wait a moment.”

With that, she hurriedly ran off.

Unaware that she had inadvertently charmed someone, Nathalie Quinlan casually sat down opposite the elder, barely containing her wild and rascal energy, and greeted the old man across from her nonchalantly.

”Old man, long time no see.”

Anyone else from the music industry would have been stunned to see her there.

That was Mr. Norton they were treating like a deity!

She dared to call him ”old man” so carelessly, her tone so nonchalant and lacking in respect!

Shawn Norton wasn’t angry, far from it; his face, which usually radiated energy, seemed to wear an excited expression, but he suppressed it, deliberately putting on a stern face and huffed, ”You still remember this old man? I thought you almost completely forgot about me.”

His words carried a touch of grievance.

Nathalie Quinlan pinched her brow, grabbed her backpack, unzipped it, and took out a bottle, placing it in front of him: ”Brought you a gift.”

Shawn Norton looked puzzled as he took it, ”What’s this?”

Nathalie Quinlan didn’t say it was a small pill sold on the black market but vaguely mentioned, ”A health supplement.”

”Health supplement?” Shawn Norton examined the bottle, which didn’t have a medicine name, production date, not to mention a prescription, the range of illnesses it treated. It looked every bit like an unlicensed product.

”Where did you buy this health supplement?” he didn’t say the supplement looked inedible but was worried Nathalie Quinlan might have been cheated.

Nathalie Quinlan zipped her bag after handing him the medicine and tossed the bag aside, her demeanor relaxed as she spoke, ”... from a friend. Don’t worry. There’s nothing wrong with it. Taking one of these pills a month is good for your health.”

Shawn Norton didn’t doubt the medicine she gave him would cause any harm; he just felt he didn’t need it, so he handed the bottle back, ”You keep it for Owen Yapiter. He needs this kind of thing more with his health; I don’t need it yet.”

Outside, the medicine was nearly being sold at sky-high prices, especially since Nathalie Quinlan had become lazy recently, going from giving three pills a month to one every three months, causing different powers to fight more fiercely for this medicine.
