The Unveiling of Secret Queen

Chapter 367: Chapter 367: When Honored It’s Her Tune, When Trampled It’s Nathalie Quinlan_1

”She’s come to Beijing?”

After saying this, Ivy Wilmar remembered that Nathalie Quinlan was indeed in Beijing, to participate in the self-recruitment exam. She was silent for a moment before asking, ”What did she message you for?”

Myles Sullivan walked over to the table, picked up his tea, and took a gulp before setting the cup down and saying, ”She told me she’s arrived in Beijing, and asked if we’re free to have dinner the day after tomorrow.”

Though the Sullivan Family may not be as prominent as the peak elite families in Beijing, they are still members of the upper echelon in the circle. He holds an important position and often partakes in social exchanges. When it comes to time, he naturally has some for important people. As for the unimportant ones, he probably doesn’t have a spare day in all three hundred and sixty-five days of the year.

Ivy Wilmar also understood what he was thinking and looked at him seriously, ”What do you plan to reply?”

Ghania Quinlan clenched her fists nervously from the sidelines, her eyes fixed unblinkingly on Myles Sullivan’s face, fearing that he would say he’d make time to have dinner with Nathalie Quinlan.

All she could rely on now was the Sullivan Family. If Nathalie Quinlan came too... She wasn’t afraid of Nathalie Quinlan being better than her in other ways, but she was worried about Nathalie Quinlan’s face... too ostentatious!

In a world where interests are paramount, if Nathalie Quinlan could bring more benefits to the Sullivan Family than she could, it was inevitable that she would become the one to be abandoned.

She did not want to be the one abandoned!

Without much deliberation, Myles Sullivan told Ivy Wilmar, ”Forget it, I’ll tell her I don’t have time.”

”Since she didn’t come back to Beijing with us, some things don’t need to be forced. Letting nature take its course is best.”

Translated, it meant that since Nathalie Quinlan didn’t choose the Sullivan Family, they also shouldn’t waste too much time and energy on her.

It’s enough to have face in front of everyone; the treasure is still bet on Ghania Quinlan.

Ivy Wilmar, being his wife for so many years, would certainly understand his meaning. With a look of slight regret, she sighed, ”That’s all we can do.”

After Myles Sullivan replied to Nathalie Quinlan’s message, politely saying he would not be available the day after tomorrow, he saw a new push notification on his phone.

”Lighten Chaser?”

He had heard Ivy Wilmar mention this name several times; it seemed to belong to an underground rock artist.

Ivy Wilmar heard this and was immediately intrigued, asking him, ”Why did you suddenly bring up Lighten Chaser? What about him?”

Myles Sullivan showed her his phone, saying, ”There’s a message pushed to my phone saying ’he’ released a new song. It’s called ’Phoenix.’ Huh, quite an arrogant name for someone so young!”

Everyone knows that the phoenix is the noblest divine creature in traditional culture.

Even a minor rock artist dares to use these two characters.

Ivy Wilmar wasn’t surprised, since most of Lighten Chaser’s pieces were classically named. She was looking at the news on Myles Sullivan’s phone and spoke with rare approval, ”You don’t know, but this person is undeniable in talent. Many in the music circle know ’his’ reputation. Although rock music is not generally accepted, ’he’ is quite acknowledged. Many young artists in the circle have ’his’ influence in their music.

Do you know Caryn Zachmann? Her pieces always imitate Lighten Chaser’s works. She can mimic the general idea but can’t capture the spirit of Lighten Chaser’s work. Even so, this time, her piece won first place at the piano association awards.”

”This Lighten Chaser... quite famous. His fame is not just in the music circle; ’he’ can compare with first-line stars outside, with countless fans. I actually quite admire ’him’.”

When Ghania Quinlan heard her mention the person who won first place in the piano association this time, she felt uneasy. But then she thought that the piece which got second place was written by Nathalie Quinlan, and it felt a little better knowing that it was Nathalie Quinlan’s work that got trampled, not hers.
