COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

”Am...I discovered?”

’Hikigaya-kun and Kushida-san actually knew that I was often instructed by Sakayanagi-san to follow them?’

”Wh...what should I do?”

Yamamura didn’t know how to behave anymore, she directly asked from those same people.

”Sometimes it’s at dormitory door, for other days vending machine.”

Ah...That’s true.

She was ordered to be followed by Sakayanagi many times.

Among them, she even stalked Kushida-chan 6 times who was so scared that she couldn’t sleep one night after feeling someone probably looking at her...but didn’t know from where, ”Da..Da..Da..W-who? Sho---show yourself!”

No one did.

It was really silent. Very eery.

Kushida-chan ran away directly into her bedroom after that.

Sometimes you need to take pictures, and sometimes you just need to record who the two people met and what they talked about.

Yamamura recorded everything like a tool, and then let Sakayanagi-san analyze which information is reliable.

She followed the tracking order and thought her presence was very low, so Yamamura had not been discovered.

She even hoped that someone would discover her.

As a result...has it actually been discovered all along?

For a moment, she didn’t know how to face Hikigaya-kun and Kushida-san.

”...It’s better not to tell Kushida, right?”

”Y-yeah. Right, definitely.”

At this time, door of ski equipment rental shop opened.

Students can also ski officially.

Considering that there are other girls in the team, Hikigaya-kun announced that there are students from other schools at ski resort and everyone should take protective measures.

Kito also restrained himself.

It can be seen that he seemed to be very interested in clothes.

However, when he heard that a student from his class had just been harassed by a student from another school, he left the store.

He is a person who looks rough but is actually very delicate.

”I’m sorry for making everyone worry.” Yamamura apologized a little embarrassedly, her voice a bit higher to express herself.

”No one wants to see this kind of thing, and the luckiest one right now is that nothing has happened yet. I’m going to send a message to my classmates too.”

”Notify others...?”

”...Ah, I really didn’t expect this kind of aggressive pick-up that you see in animations and movies would appear here.” Kushida-chan is also feeling frightened.

”Why are you so scared? Aren’t you a social anim----”

”S-Shut up. With that crap...you are so annoying.”

There are several introverted students in Watanabe’s class, and they would definitely be troubled if were approached by students from other schools.

After all, they are all good kids.

Through activities of students in Class B, all knew there were teens from other schools at ski resort, and they might be behaving frivolously.

However, because they took care of each other and traveled together, no other problems arose.

It was evening time.

As usual, Hikigaya-kun was arranged to take a bath first.

”.....”

Used to it, but after everyone has showered and returned to bed, Hachiman realizes that more than an hour has passed and no one seems to have fallen asleep.

Hikigaya-kun is a little uncomfortable because he has come to a new place. ’What about others? Are they so comfortable already....’

”How about we have a chat about our ideals?” someone who was awake suddenly said.

Talking about ideals can be translated into talking about life.

”We’ve been through a lot, and in half a year we’ll be in our third year of high school.”

”Yeah...Even if we’re competing for Class A, we still have to think about the future, whether it’s further study or finding a job.” Yukimura, who did not leave the hotel today felt left out.

”I haven’t thought about it. I’m satisfied with a normal graduation.”

Eh...English? How so?

Just when everyone was wondering whether he, who had always been regarded as Ryuen’s follower, had any ideas, they found that he began to sleep soundly.

So, everyone had to ask someone else.

”What do you think, Yukimura?”

”Oye! Hikigaya you scared me. I thought you were asleep!”

”O O”

Right... generally speaking, if you want to ask a question, it means you have already encountered a problem.

Although people are in different classes, it is troublesome to have someone around you who is always bothering you.

Because eventually when the problem becomes serious, other person will ask you for help.

So a quick solution is actually the best thing for everyone.

”How should I put it...” Yukimura seemed a little embarrassed, but he still said it, ”Actually, I have an ideal. I want to become a teacher when I grow up.”

”Teacher...But I saw you dissing on your classmates once in the library...is that how it works?”

”Watanabe, it’s better if you don’t talk.”

”Um? What did I do?”

There are five boys in the room now, and Albert, one of them, is already fast asleep.

Albert’s future vision is not important.

After all, he is used to being Ryuen’s follower.

He even wants to go to Ryuen’s side for group activities. This has made him accustomed to being his bodyguard.

As long as Ryuen-san doesn’t do anything stupid, his future shouldn’t be too bad.

So, Albert should be able to be supported.

”Well, my sister is very good. I have been studying since I was a child. It seems that my sister, who is much older than me, has always been a teacher. I have always been treated as a student by her. Since elementary school, she has been giving me difficult questions. She is really a mes---good sister.....”

”Hey, you changed the words. So, that’s why you became good at studying.” Hikigaya-kun asked as if he was trying to lead Yukimura into a conversation.

”Um...It’s not that I was bad before....”

Since it seemed like they could really have a life-long conversation, Yukimura pulled his hands out of the quilt, put them behind his head, and stared at the ceiling, ”I’m not good at sports, and I’m always near or at the bottom no matter what I do. So I decided not to overcome my weaknesses, but to develop what I am good at... I thought that it was meaningless to develop athletic abilities unless I wanted to be a sports player. After I enrolled in this school, I encountered various problems. The most important thing is that I firmly believed that I had the ability to study and be worthy of Class A.”

Yukimura said this, later paused as if recalling the scene at that time and fell into deep thought.

Or maybe he is very distressed, gave such a long dialogue, it even bored some readers.

Because he was obviously a top student, but got assigned to Class D.

One can imagine the despair that was felt at that time.

This is also the reason why if you want to be promoted to a higher class, Yukimura will actively contribute as soon as you find him.

He also didn’t want to admit that he was assigned to Class D and wants to go to Class A.

But he is no longer a student in Class D, so Yukimura, your emotions and other thoughts have nothing to do with Hikigaya.

But saying this seems a bit like Sakayanagi’s style.

Hikigaya decided to let him carry on a little and open up, ”What do you think now?”

”So...I am officially out of the conversation now? Got it.”

”....” Yukimura, ”It’s nothing like that. How should I put it? Being assigned to Class D was despairing, and at the same time, there were some unacceptable things happening. I couldn’t accept joint responsibility of the class, and living on an uninhabited island was even more inexplicable... Sudo in our class was in the exact opposite position to me. Even though he was good at sports, he couldn’t study....But, on uninhabited island or at a sports festival, Sudo is far more useful than someone like me. He shines when he is needed.”

There seemed to be some reluctance in his tone when he said this, but then he added.

”There’s nothing I can do about it. But I also gradually understood something. That is, people have limits...If you want to get better evaluations and higher recognition, you can only keep moving forward. So next, I will also be in Tokyo University....I will also work hard to move forward. I will also improve the athletic abilities that I once thought were unnecessary.”

”Even after graduating from this school, I may not use my athletic ability too much, but I believe that it will definitely be helpful if I ca---”

”Boo...you used will so many time. My stomach hurts...! Ahahh!”

”....Um, Kito did you say anything.”

”...”

”He definitely said something.”

But for Yukimura, In other words, guy has own goals and wants to change the way he looks at school.

However, the only thing missing is the unwillingness to be assigned to Class D and determination to be promoted to Class A.

It’s better not to say this.

After all, both Hikigaya-kun and Horikita-san have left.
