COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

”Drop!”

Grouping successful.

Hachiman and Ishizaki Daichi stood in their assigned areas, and opponents were Katsuragi and Hashimoto, with Hashimoto as main attacker and Katsuragi as auxiliary.

Hachiman and the others are here.

Ishizaki stood in front, responsible for serving and attacking.

Hachiman was in the back, serving as an assistant.

Of course, he would not stop this request. Rather, it was very new for him to have teammates in a tennis match.

”Then let’s have a fair match, Hashimoto, I will make you cry.” As seed player of Ryuen’s class, Ishizaki Daichi declared, ”Before, you deliberately put a love letter in Nishino’s shoe cabinet, and then asked her out to ask if she could support you, right?!”

”How shameless!” Ishizaki looked very dissatisfied, his face of a delinquent now giving a scary vibe.

’So there is why? But why is it possible to ask a girl to support him while confessing his love to her?’ Hikigaya feels that Hashimoto seems to be too confident.

However, he doesn’t think that Ishizaki is a person with a strong sense of justice. ’In other words, he actually has a crush on Nishino...Youth is so great. I feel very sick...’

With this in mind, Hikigaya-kun maintains his supporting role.

Standing at back, even though he was not main attacker, he could still feel that some of audience were focusing on him, as if they were expecting him to perform.

Hello, hello, hello.

Doesn’t this create pressure?

”Ah... huh?” Hashimoto was suddenly told this, but he maintained his handsome look and kept smiling.

”Well, it seems to be the case.”

In fact, it is better not to admit it at this time, because once he does, there will be other students around, so his evaluation may drop.

’But if I deny it directly, Nishino might spread the news everywhere.’ After all, this is what really happened, and Nishino did receive the love letter he placed in other party’s shoe cabinet.

So even if school prohibits spreading rumors, it cannot stop Nishino’s actions.

Therefore, Hashimoto can only accept it now.

Even looking at it this way, his own evaluation has still dropped.

Thinking of this, Hashimoto glanced at Hikigaya with some resentment.

Because if he hadn’t been influenced by Hikigaya, he wouldn’t have been so impulsive at that time and would have gone around confessing his feelings to girls who might have a crush on him.

”But, saying someone else’s confession in public....I’m not a good-tempered person either.” Hashimoto certainly would not sit still and wait for death, so he made a declaration directly to Ishizaki.

His rating has dropped, so let’s raise it back now through Ishizaki.

So originally, he was just going to team up with Katsuragi to intercept the scoring of Ryuen’s class, but now, he had to show his true strength.

His name is Hashimoto Masayoshi, but he doesn’t think he fits this name, or rather, his actions have always been at odds with this name.

He believes that profit is most correct.

They are willing to do anything to gain benefits.

”Hashimoto, calm down a bit. Don’t be easily provoked.” Katsuragi said at this time, being a good old man with no hair, ”Ishizaki is only participating in 7th event now, which means he has enough physical strength.”

In fact, Katsuragi doesn’t quite understand Hashimoto.

Hashimoto didn’t become like this just because he came to this school.

When he was in junior high school, he thought about how to be popular and how to get other people’s attention.

First of all, he has a good-looking appearance, and if he can be more positive, have better grades, and be better at sports,

As for sports, you can choose football, but too many people participate in football.

So, he chose tennis.

And now, Tennis skills he had trained for three years can come in handy.

”I’m calm. But I will bring 10 points to the class today, Katsuragi!”

Bring ten points.

It means winning now, winning later, and winning three games in a row.

Very confident.

”Hashimoto is a little too arrogant.” In the audience, Kamuro-san, who is also a student in Class A, directly lowered her evaluation of Hashimoto, ”Does he really have the stamina to play three games in a row?”

”Everyone has something hidden.” However, Princess Sakayanagi said something somewhat unexpected.

This made Kamuro-san think deeply, ”But I think he’s just bragging, and something terrible will happen...”

”Kamuro-san, your thoughts are too dark....”

’Is this Sakayanagi’s way of saying that Hashimoto actually has another trump card, or has been hiding it all along?’

As she thought about this, she noticed that Sakayanagi was looking at field, but not at her classmate Hashimoto, but at Hikigaya Hachiman who was standing in back area on left side of the field.

In other words, person that Sakayanagi wanted to talk about as having something hidden was not Hashimoto.

’Grass! There is indeed no hope for this Loli....’ So, Kamuro-san started to watch the game attentively.

Hikigaya + Ishizaki

VS

Katsuragi + Hashimoto

Hikigaya-kun and Katsuragi both stood obediently in support areas of their respective teams.

In other words, both of them knew that real main force were others.

Ishizaki met Hashimoto first.

As a good fighter in Ryuen’s class, he was very dissatisfied with Hashimoto’s arrogant declaration.

So, full of fighting spirit.

Hashimoto also urgently needs to defeat Ishizaki and show his ”strength”.

Tennis is a very interesting sport, and it also demonstrates your skills to play with the ball.

You can hit and make it slide through several arcs in the air. That’s magic ball!

Although he cannot reach such a level, Hashimoto is still very strong.

After all, he had thought about attracting girls.

So, he practiced hard.

His power and speed were so great that only shadow of the ball he hit could be seen, and swiftly hitting ball flashed on ground.

Therefore, people like Katsuragi have already sensed it and seem to have not paid attention to Hashimoto’s tennis ability, and there is no need to calm Hashimoto down, because....

”This is boring....I am leaving.”

???

But, Hashimoto plays tennis very fast!

After passing net, almost only a bright yellow shadow can be seen.

”Ho...Ho!! Bump!”

Ishizaki Daichi is a member of Ryuen’s small team.

What Ryuen liked about him was not his brains. Ishizaki, like Ibuki, was a brainless type, but he was very loyal, and his fighting ability recognized by Ryuen.

Ishizaki gripped the racket and chased after the shadow of the flying tennis ball.

The moment ball hit the ground and bounced back, he threw it towards Hashimoto.

Before people could cheer for such a wonderful catching action, they found that Hashimoto, a student from Class A, jumped up directly, then swung the racket, and this time ball flew past Ishizaki’s side.

”Holy crap!”

”I saw a chicken flying! Can you believe me? Hondou?”

O O ?

In other words, ball that Ishizaki had just caught was actually just a fake move, purpose of which was to lure Ishizaki to one side and then attack the other side.

At this time, Ishizaki was unable to react at all.

Hashimoto also used his brain well.

But this is something Ishizaki doesn’t have.

”Hashimoto Katsuragi’s team scored a goal!” A first-grade teacher who served as referee announced winner of the goal.

”Hey, sensei? What’s your name?”

”Ahhhh...Ghost! A ghost!”

It was Hashimoto Katsuragi who scored.

”This tennis skill has caught up with me.” At this time, a boy with black curly hair who looked like a crow tengu walked behind Sakayanagi.

This person usually has little presence in class and doesn’t even say much, but he is able to see the situation clearly.

He became a member of Sakayanagi faction and chose to join her the day after he entered school.

He is also the most powerful member of Class A besides newly joined Koenji.

It’s a pity that in order to suppress Class B, Kito was assigned to projects related to Class B’s Shibata and Ishizaki.

So, 10 project opportunities have been used up.

”It looks like Hashimoto-kun has tried hard....” Princess Sakayanagi withdrew her gaze and finally sighed as if giving a comment.

”So, Sakayanagi, which side do you think will win?”

”Although Hashimoto-kun is very good at tennis. But it’s a pity, other party also hid his strength, and just busy fishing.”

’The other party is also hiding his strength. Are you referring to Ishizaki Daichi? He is Ryuen’s confidant, a former delinquent, and also... joined basketball club not long after entering school. In other words, he’s training every day. Therefore, whether in terms of explosive power or strength, although he is not as good as Sudo who can hang on wall, he is not someone who can be defeated easily.....’ Kamuro-san had a bad feeling.

”Although I’m not very good at Tennis. I still remember rules well.”

The correct statement of Ishizaki should be that I can play tennis rather than I have memorized rules of tennis.

But Ishizaki is similar to Ibuki in that they are the type who won’t ask questions after giving an order.

In other words, being willing to work hard.

Then it’s reliable.

”Fooo! bump!” Ishizaki immediately unleashed his full power.

First ball, second ball, third ball.

Hashimoto failed to catch three balls in a row, not because he couldn’t see trajectory of, but because opponent’s strength was too great.

It’s impossible to stop it.

”Jump serve!”

Ishizaki even jumped up.

The yellow-green rolling ball flew directly to Katsuragi who was behind him, but when he tried to catch it, the ball bounced directly to protective wire mesh with a swish sound and got stuck there, but ball was still rolling.

It can be seen how hard and powerfully Ishizaki hit this ball.

”Is this guy breaking eggs or what?”

”Right, I can’t even see the damn ball.”

The students who were originally just watching have stopped talking and are quietly waiting for situation to evolve.

”Very courageous!”

Hashimoto was not stupid either.

Ishizaki was very strong, and when boy had the chance to serve, he would try his best to check whether he could receive it.

If he could, he would receive it. If not, he would not.

So although there would be some losses, his physical energy was not consumed much.

It’s not just one team that serves.

So, he can also get the chance to serve.

Ishizaki has no brains.

Therefore, Hashimoto often deliberately embarrasses Ishizaki or uses fake moves to gain points.

Both sides won one game each.

”Ah...right, Thanks Kei-chan, for Cola! I just needed this.”

”Don’t mention it. We are in the endgame now.”
