COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

’Like last year’s Horikita, she finally learned how to be diplomatic and now hopes to get my help, no matter what the purpose is, as long as it helps her. Can you talk properly now?’

So, while drinking coffee, Hikigaya-kun listened to Horikita’s efforts to obtain class transfer coupon this time.

From the beginning, she borrowed popularity of Kushida-chan’s friends.

Then, also realized that class evaluation scores had dropped sharply.

Many students did not want to be deducted points for this sports festival, sotook the initiative to propose reducing difficulty of their instructions.

Of course, judging from results, Class D’s obedience is still worrying.

But judging from purpose, Horikita used class as a weapon this time, directing students’ struggles into class confrontations, so her goal of getting the first place in second-year female score was protected.

Learned to cover up, and selfish.

Hikigaya-kun also understood why Kinoshita, a classmate from Ryuen’s class, said that someone bribed her on day sports festival rules were announced.

In other words, Horikita targeted Kinoshita and treated her as a formidable enemy at that time, and as far as the result was concerned, her move was correct.

However, there are still some minor flaws.

”This time it’s because my class finally gave up the fight against Sakayanagi’s class, otherwise Kinoshita wouldn’t have accepted your agreement to fight against fakery..... Students in Ryuen’s class are not so easy to be brainwashed. It was because of this that I chose to come here.”

”...Well, I might also have...apparently some fans who bribed girls to participate and then let go.” Suzune did not deny it, after learning it from Kushida-chan.

”Say what now....?”

”It is true that luck plays a role. I decided to compensate them for efforts. But well, we are classmates now.”

Shopping street.

There were three girls walking together, but one was in front and two were walking behind, creating a gap in status and rank.

This is natural.

Sakayanagi Arisu, the leader of Class 2A, and there are two puppies she raises.

To be precise, there are only one and a half currently being kept.

Although Morishita was very proactive, it didn’t suit Sakayanagi’s personality, so she never gave her preferential treatment.

Morishita, on the other hand, didn’t care so much. After all, if she got the princess’s approval, she would have an extra meal ticket to be a successful person in the future.

The latter definitely makes money.

So now she doesn’t care at all whether she gets paid or not.

However, now Morishita took the initiative to carry Sakayanagi’s small bucket, which contained shampoo and shower gel.

Although the bathhouse provided them, Sakayanagi’s skin was delicate, so she chose to bring her own.

Then Morishita followed Sakayanagi diligently.

This made Kamuro Masumi look sideways.

Because this girl is even more of a lackey than her.

However, it was much easier for her to have someone else do the work, so Kamuro-san allowed other party to scramble.

Now three of them were actually on their way back from bathhouse. There was a faint scent of just having taken a bath.

Sakayanagi invited two people to take a bath together today.

As for this kind of thing, Kamiro-san felt that Sakayanagi often gave away money for free, so she didn’t care much about it.

However, Morishita seemed flattered and even took the initiative to find topics to talk about.

”Come to think of it, our class did win first place in sports festival. It should be said that it was thanks to Princess Sakayanagi Arisu’s advice. We were able to intercept conspiracy of Ryuen Kakeru.”

Um....

Morishita is just trying to flatter me, but neither Kamuro-san nor Sakayanagi cares about that.

Kamiro-san knew that Sakayanagi was a love-minded person, so she probably wouldn’t care about class rivalry.

As for Sakayanagi....really not interested in class competition. If she wants to get points, it is Hikigaya-kun who asks for it.

I hope she can quickly accumulate her class evaluation scores to 3,000 or 4,000 points.

This task seemed a little strange, and might even cause some trouble to her father, but Sakayanagi thought it would be okay to do it.

This is also the reason why, although she was banned from participating in all events this time due to physical reasons, she gave up on becoming commander leading class in this sports festival, and she played badly but not completely.

This time, Ryuen’s class took the initiative to cooperate with Ichinose, but it was more like they were offering Ichinose as a sacrifice, letting Class A and Class B fight it out while they reaped benefits.

If plan goes well, then Hikigaya will really be able to help Ryuen’s class win first place in this sports festival ”fairly.”

Hikigaya and others failed to do so.

”I ruined your plan, Hikigaya-kun.” Sakayanagi wanted to convey this message, but Hikigaya didn’t get it and even refused the invitation to take a bath together today.

She was asked to book the bathhouse for nothing.

But after taking a bath and being helped by warm water, her mood did improve a little.

”Come to think of it.” Kamuro-san noticed that Sakayanagi was not interested in Morishita’s topic, so she said, as a reward for her invitation today, ”Horikita is going to transfer to our class. She won first place among the girls this time.”

Actually, she is a little unhappy.

Because she, Masumi Kamuro, only got third place.

But her physical fitness should be better than Horikita’s. She can only say that girl chose wrong event and lost to others in extra.

”Then Horikita-san should be able to use the class transfer coupon. According to what was said before, 2 million points are worth class transfer coupon. You know, it can allow her to spend half a year in Class A. This is necessary for student council president’s sister who was assigned to Class D at the beginning...fufu.”

”So if there is a special exam that requires people to drop out, will you choose to drop out newcomer Horikita Suzune?” Kamiro-san asked it on everyone’s behalf.

This is very important.

Because in special exam last month, Sakayanagi protected her classmates and didn’t take extra points.

She also said that everyone was important to her and shouldn’t be abandoned.

However, Sakayanagi is easily influenced by Hikigaya Hachiman, and Hikigaya seems to hope that Sakayanagi can lead Class A to gain more points.

Therefore, it is uncertain whether Sakayanagi will still choose to protect the students in her class if there is another unanimous withdrawal exam.

In other words, Kamuro-san actually has the answer. If they take this kind of exam again, Sakayanagi should feel that anyone who drops out can be used to exchange for points as long as it’s not her.

So, girl looks small, sick and cute, but it is actually very cruel.

”Am I dropping Horikita-san out of school?” Sakayanagi seems to be very interested in this topic.

”fufu——” She smiled cutely.

”Kamuro-san seems to be feeling uneasy. But do you still remember what I said to you when you first entered school?”

Normally, the tone of Sakayanagi’s respectful address to others is not one of recognition, but mockery.

But this time, Kamuro-san really didn’t know whether Sakayanagi was telling the truth or not.

There was only one reason why she became Sakayanagi’s dog... She had a kleptomania and couldn’t help it on the first day of school, so she stole... and was discovered by Sakayanagi.

This is what Sakayanagi said at the time.

[Is that okay? If I report you to the school for stealing, you will probably be expelled.]

[You have just entered school, and I think even you hope to encounter happy or unhappy things and have a good high school life.]

[I like you, Kamuro-san. Become my friend. To be more precise, I don’t know what friends are, so, can you be my puppy?]

[I still like keeping pets.]

That’s it.

It’s really unsatisfactory that Sakayanagi treated her like a dog when she just met for the first time.

”I don’t know anything.” Kamuro-san said with a straight face.

Because just now she recalled the bad memories of meeting this girl Sakayanagi.

”Well.” Sakayanagi continued to maintain her elegance. She held her cane and continued walking forward.

”….”

’I am so envious....’ The third person at scene, Morishita classmate, sighed in her heart.

Morishita was actually a little envious of Kamuro-san’s ability to talk to Sakayanagi so casually.

After unanimous special exam last month, she and Sakayanagi went back to dormitory together.

At that time, Sakayanagi told her to shut up.

So, Morishita can’t do what Kamuro-san did and just talk to Sakayanagi whenever she wants.

As Morishita listened, she suddenly realized that Princess Sakayanagi might not know this information either. ’I immediately knew that this was my chance to show off!’

So, girl took the initiative to say, ”The one who got first place in second-year girl’s score is Horikita Suzune. She did want to take transfer ticket as a reward for sports festival. It’s just she is not coming to our A, but Class C.”

....ah!?

”O O !”

Now, both Sakayanagi and Kamuro-san looked over at Morishita with extremely big wide pupils.

It was the first time that Morishita realized that she was attracting so much attention.

Morishita noticed that she was being watched, and immediately realized this might be a side of her that Princess Sakayanagi didn’t know about, and that Kamuro-san was also negligent.

This is information only she knows, so this is her chance!

’Um.....Suddenly I felt that being caught by Horikita Suzune to participate in a volleyball game didn’t seem so bad. Because I also got important information from there....That is, after Horikita Suzune won first place, she didn’t want to come to our Class A, but... wanted to go to C!’

”Actually, I found out about it when I was participating in a volleyball match.” Morishita did not hide anything and told Sakayanagi how she got the news.

The students of Sakayanagi faction are generally like this.

They will tell her what they see and hear about the students from other classes or who need attention, and let Sakayanagi decide which ones are important and then give instructions.

”Does that mean Horikita Suzune actually wants to go to Class 2-C?!”

’What can Class C of Grade 2 have now? From the information we have obtained, Class 2-C has fallen. It was originally under the control of Ryuen-kun, but now Hikigaya-kun has gone there and can extract points every month. Therefore, it can be understood as a company that has no potential for ordinary people, because if you go there and cannot be reallocated, then you can only accept your fate....So going there is not a good idea. However, Horikita Suzune’s goal was to go there, and she even deliberately took on burden of Class D this time, which shows that other party used class confrontation as bait, and real purpose was to go to Class 2-C....This is exactly what you can get by going to Class 2-C. Go to Hikigaya Hachiman.’

Hey, hey, hey, in this kind of situation, even Sakayanagi can feel the feelings conveyed by Horikita-san.

’Kushida-san! You lied!’ Sakayanagi instantly realized that there was something wrong with Kushida’s information.

According to Kushida, although Hikigaya-kun and Horikita-san are close, neither of them have any intention of falling in love, so there is no need to worry.

But Horikita’s current actions seem to be understood as her pursuing Hikigaya-kun.

She went to Class 2-C because Hikigaya-kun was there.

’After such an action, can we still say that Horikita-san has no understanding of emotions at all? So, Kushida-san, how did you collect the information? You lied to me!’

Sakayanagi was angry.

No more words.

Kushida-chan was already in a bad mood today, and then she received an invitation from Sakayanagi. ’Chotto matte, why do you all bully me? What have I ever done to you?’
