COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

Hachiman’s group ranked eighth, so they took bus to Yufuin as required.

”I don’t know...but it reminds me of More than married couples. What do you think Hikigaya?”

”....I suggest you cool down a bit, Watanabe.”

The airport was not far from hotel, and it only took them 20 minutes to reach their destination.

After getting off bus, students lined up according to groups.

Hachiman noticed that although there were eight members in first group, and they had already obtained hotel key and entered with their luggage, there was one person who had left the team and was standing beside hotel.

The other person was wearing a pair of gloves and, considering the cold weather, also a frost hat.

Although the outfit is a bit bulky, it depends on who is wearing it.

”What a coincidence, Hikigaya-kun....”

Since he was greeted, naturally had to respond.

”It seems we were assigned to same hotel. I hope we both have a good school trip.” Hikigaya-kun responded politely.

”Yes, I hope s----”

”Let’s go Sakayanagi. We don’t have more time for you to waste here.” A moment later, Sakayanagi was immediately picked up by Kamuro-san, who had already put her luggage away and came to pick her.

’From this perspective, Kamuro-san is similar to me or does better than me in some ways. This girl is also suitable to be a housewife. So next time should we learn from each other?’

Hikigaya-kun was thinking to himself when he got interrupted again.

”Eto.... It’s different from what I imagined. Is President Sakayanagi always like this?”

”...Why are you talking with me so much? I don’t even know you, right?”

Hachiman and his group were eighth group and were divided into two rooms.

It seems that every group is divided like this. Each has 2 rooms, separate for boys and girls.

It is fair when number of girls and boys in a group is balanced, but in some groups, there are few boys and many girls, so girls feel a little crowded.

The only boys in Hachiman’s group are him, Kito, Watanabe, and Yukimura.

It is also a balanced type.

Although hotel’s exterior gives people a sense of history, interior lobby also feels clean to the touch.

After changing into slippers and placing clothes and other luggage at his feet, Hachiman waited for the key.

The boys stayed in rooms located in the East Building area.

On the other hand, girls live in main building. Since they are connected by a lobby, it is not difficult to move around, but genders are well separated.

”Here are your key---”

”Can I take it? Please Sensei---!”

Mr. Sakagami was in charge of distributing to boys, but he only gave one, which meant he had to determine who would keep it.

The enthusiastic little angel Watanabe from Class B volunteered.

Others have no objection.

After inserting, door leading to the room opened.

Inside is a fairly spacious Japanese-style room of about 20 square meters, with a table and 4 chairs.

There is also a small table and two single sofas by window.

If you open the floor-to-ceiling windows, you can see falling snow in the small courtyard.

This is a scene that you have seen many times on TV. In other words, this is simply the best hotel.

The school is still willing to pay money when it comes to conditions it provides for its students.

”Let’s put our things down first and then go eat...” Suggested by Watanabe from Class B, ”Although skiing techniques will not be explained until 2 o’clock, you can still try it in advance.”

The school not only contracted the hotel, but also paid for ski resort, so students can go directly to staff to get their equipment and start playing right away.

In other words, Watanabe wants to---

”Skiing?” Kito, a student from Class A, frowned.

”Don’t you want to, Kito?” Yukimura also started to talk because he felt out of the book just now.

After all, they were all from other classes now, and he only had a better relationship with Hikigaya. It would be terrible if he didn’t say anything and was excluded.

As for people like Kito, they have a more subtle and eerie appearance, so he normally wouldn’t have any contact with them.

However, Yukimura also looked at the OA system of other classes and found that Kito seemed to be physical athlete of A.

Therefore, if you can get in touch more often and find each other’s weaknesses, or if you can become good friends, then you may be able to use each other for future special exams.

”I haven’t learned it before. But it should be easy.”

It’s quite easy.

Therefore, everyone honestly finished their lunch in the hotel. It was pork chop rice, which was relatively simple but delicious.

Twenty minutes later, students were asked to walk to ski resort, which was less than 800 meters away and could be reached directly.

At the same time, they were informed that mobile phones were not allowed to be brought to resort.

This is because there is a high risk of the phone being lost or malfunctioning, and staff will have to help find it based on location, which is also very troublesome.

It is conceivable that for students who rely on mobile phones for a long time, this requirement is a bit excessive, but fortunately, news says that if they really want to, they are allowed to continue carrying them.

However, if the phone is lost, 20,000 to 50,000 personal points will be required as a reward for finding the phone.

If cannot be found, 100,000 to 200,000 points will be required to apply for a new phone from class teacher.

So, students became much more obedient.

The objections from mobile phone addicts also disappeared.

After all. It’s so expensive.

However, during this group activity, Hachiman noticed that Sakayanagi did not follow first group.

One thing is certain, she is not in good health, and the students might run around recklessly while skiing, and it would be bad if they hit her.

In other words, she was able to come here with special permission of the Chairman.

Hachiman remembered that when Chairman Sakayanagi asked him to come over last year, he said that he hoped he would consider Arisu’s physical condition more.

In other words, should show more humanitarian concern for her.

Hachiman walked over to Kamuro-san who was walking to the ski resort honestly, ”What did you mean by texting me this morning on the plane?”

When plane was about to take off, Kamuro-san sent a message saying that it was urgent.

Then ask for information about hotel he was scheduled to stay in.

After replying to other party, she no longer paid attention to him.

Seems very ruthless.

”The problem has been solved. I thought it would be a big problem, but it was done surprisingly easily.”

Is that so?

Hachiman thinks other person is lying, but Kamuro-san is the type who can look proud even when she’s telling a lie.

So, he ignored her for a while.

”Have you ever learned to ski, Hikigaya-senpai?” Ichinose, who is in same group with Kamuro-san, greeted.

”Cough...Cough! Wh--what do you mean Hikigaya-senpai?”

”~Teehee~ So, how about it?”

”No....”

”I see. Actually, I’m a newbie too. Then you have to listen to class carefully later.” Ichinose said with a serious look on her face.

Although the temperature has dropped and her cheeks are red from the cold, Ichinose-san is still so cute.

So, after saying hello to archangel, Hikigaya-kun obediently returned to his team.

Fifteen minutes later, all students arrived at ski resort.

We still acted in groups, and equipment was distributed according to groups.

Everyone received a total of eight sets of ski suits and boots.

The outside of boot appears to be made of plastic.

Unbuckle the straps as instructed, unfold lining and put your foot inside.

Adjust heel position to flatten it, then buckle from bottom to top.

Finally, fasten bindings to prevent snow from entering.

This is almost most basic preparation.

The school’s ski lessons are divided into three categories: advanced, intermediate, and beginner.

Allow students to choose freely.

Hachiman noticed that Kito, who had just said it was very simple, went directly to advanced course camp.

”Hehe, I actually learned to ski.” Little angel Kushida-chan also left.

”Let’s go to the intermediate course.” Even Watanabe and Shiranami from Class B left.

Now only Hachiman, Yukimura and Class A’s Miki Yamamura are here in the beginner training camp.

Among entire grade, about 60% of people want to participate in beginner training.

In the large-scale, they were further divided into groups of about 10 people, and instructor taught how to ski from scratch.

Hikigaya-kun has actually been taken to ski resort by his sister two or three times.

The main thing is that, unlike him who stays at home, Komachi has many friends and is often invited to go out and play during holidays and weekends.

So he was worried that his sister would be taken away by someone, so he followed her.

Hachiman was not completely new to skiing, but there was no special skiing test this time, so naturally he felt most comfortable staying in beginner area.

However, it should be noted that 60% of beginners including him are still taking classes, while students in the advanced area with a smaller number of people have already started skiing.

Among them, you can see Ryuen and Ryuji Kanzaki.

Kito seemed to have mastered some knowledge and had started practicing, but he soon rolled down the ski slope.

At the same time, Hachiman never saw Koenji Rokusuke at ski resort.

This time, briefing was not mandatory for all students to attend, and the coach also said that he would always be here, and if there was anything they didn’t understand about skiing, could come here to find him.

Apparently, Koenji Rokusuke is still so free. He should be sleeping in hotel now.

”Well, enough of the theoretical knowledge, now it’s time for you to start practicing.”

”The best team members to pair up with.....”

Course ended. Students began to flock to beginners’ area.

Hachiman looked at his team members.

Although Yukimura had already put on his ski boots, he had not yet fastened and bindings.

It seems that he doesn’t have the courage to take first step.

Compared to him, Hachiman paid attention to another student in his group who remained in beginner area.

Miki Yamamura from Class A.

She had just listened to the lesson carefully. Following the instructor’s silent dialogues, she fastened boots to the ski bindings and then stepped into them with her heels.

That’s it. Walk with bindings on your feet.

Even Hachiman who was standing near her could barely hear her mumbling.

”It seems like I won’t fall down when I walk in.....”
