COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

”It’s a very interesting rating...”

”Sakayanagi, what do you mean?” Katsuragi was a little surprised. It seemed that girl took the initiative to interfere in class exam.

”According to Mashima-sensei, this school trip does not involve class evaluation scores. At same time, we have to do voting. This means value of this rating is limited to forming a team for a school trip....what will four classes bring about when they form a team?”

Oh! After little princess said this, everyone understood.

After all, this is what students in Class A are best at.

Intelligence war.

”Even though I’m class representative, I still need to do my job. Let’s team up with leaders from other clas----”

”Does that I need to vote for you?” Kamuro-san looked very disgusted just by saying it out loud.

”...Masumi-san, you hurt me.”

Snort!

Very quickly. Sakayanagi sent them names of people she wanted to rate highly.

There is no need to say much about Class A’s Sakayanagi-san + Kamuro-san.

Sakayanagi naturally gets high praise, and Kamuro-san is her dog.

As for Class B, instructions given by Sakayanagi were too given by Ichinose Honami and Kanzaki Ryuji.

Well, this is also reliable. Class B has not changed its class representative.

Second grade C class Hikigaya Hachiman + Horikita Suzune

Everyone has no objection to Hikigaya’s words, but has Horikita Suzune already gone to Class C? Indeed, it is a bit dangerous.

Although Katsuragi thinks that Ryuen should be paid more attention to, Sakayanagi gave Horikita Suzune’s name, so she must have her own considerations.

You know, if Sakayanagi hadn’t reminded them during sports festival, Class A would have been overtaken by Hikigaya and others, so Katsuragi still had lingering fears.

In Class D, it’s Yosuke Hirata + Kikyo Kushida.

It seems this is the only way.

So, although it was a free evaluation, students in Class A followed President Sakayanagi’s instructions.

Finally, arrived at Class D, Grade 2.

”Okay - I can already feel everyone’s anticipation for school trip. But before we discuss this, there is one thing we must do....”

Chabashira-sensei is also doing what other teachers do.

Let students evaluate the entire grade within specified time.

She also noticed that her students had some subtle expressions, but there was nothing to say about it.

Because there is one less in Grade 2 Class D.

According to the roster that everyone sees now, Horikita is also in Class C.

Class D has been reduced in number again.

Even Horikita-san ran away.

”Then please rate all students except yourselves according to your own evaluation criteria.”

”Sensei, will this evaluation be linked to future exams? Or will we have another compulsory expulsion exam in the future, and force the students with lower rankings to drop out?”

The classmate who was good at outdoor camping stood up and said.

This is Ike Kanji.

Although questions he asked were a bit explicit, Ike was worried that there would be too many negative reviews and that they would eventually become criteria for expulsion.

In fact, his popularity is very low now.

It’s just that this class is not short of people who are weak in all aspects.

”This score is only used for school trip. I can respond with this.”

So that’s it.

Although Chabashira-sensei denied it, poor students in the class were still worried.

So, they started to evaluate students in their class. The poor just looked at each other.

This was an idea that could be understood without saying anything.

NPC’s POV

’That is, some students in class are very safe, so it’s okay to give them lower scores.’

’Just like Hirata-kun and Kushida-chan, everyone else will probably give them high scores, so it’s okay if I give them low scores, right?’

’This is for classmates.’

’In order to prevent myself from ranking behind, I would first pull down those with good grades.’

’So, I’m sorry, Kushida-chan and Hirata-kun.....’

’To students in external classes.’

’Although you can also give bad reviews to students from other classes at will.’

’However, Sakayanagi-san is so cute. Ichinose-san is an archangel, how can you give a bad review to an angel?’

’How can I give them a bad review? I should give it to Hikigaya. After all, even if he gets a bad review, it should be fine....Everyone still believes in his ability.’

’The same goes for Horikita-san, who has skipped classes to join the hated Ryuen class, so it’s okay to give her a bad review....’

’After all, they chose to skip classes.’

’They all voted for us to drop out of school, so it wouldn’t matter if Horikita-san got a bad review....’

That evening, all students received news they had formed teams.

Basically, there are 8 people in group. If there are not enough, it will be adjusted to 7 people.

Sakayanagi is naturally a team of eight. The team list is as follows.

Second grade

Class A Sakayanagi Arisu + Masumi Kamuro

Class 2, Grade B, Ichinose Honami + Kanzaki Ryuji

Class C Shiina Hiyori + Ibuki Mio

Class D Onodera + Sudo Ken

”O O” Sakayanagi checked her team roster twice in a row.

Blink! Blink?

”…..”

”What a crappy list!”

Princess Sakayanagi wanted to just use the excuse of feeling unwell and give up opportunity to go.

It was evening.

Although time was 1st and rules of the special exam were announced, because it was a school trip, and some students found their homeroom teachers and confirmed that this school trip would not involve class evaluation scores, many students were relieved.

After all, who can stand having to take exams twice in a row over past few months, even last month?

So now there is no need to be so nervous, everyone is very casual.

Hikigaya-kun and Horikita-san went shopping at supermarket together as usual to replenish daily supplies.

Suddenly, they had to go on a five-day and four-night school trip, although people had many experiences of going out to school to live in a group.

Because of the frequent occurrences of this, Hachiman has gained a lot of experience in traveling, and things like disposable underwear or disposable towels are very necessary.

”Hey, look over there.....”

”It’s Vice President.... Hikigaya-kun.”

”That girl...who is she? Are they dating?”

”Eh... don’t you know? She is Horikita Suzune. I heard they are living together now....”

”What do yo---Huh, you are right! Damn it’s like...a married couple bickering and picking items together in market....”

”So jealous! Go die~!”

Because this activity was mainly a school trip, school also relaxed the restrictions on what students could bring.

Then you can also bring some small snacks with you.

While shopping.

”What’s wrong?” Suzune noticed that Hikigaya seemed to be in a strange state.

”I’m a little surprised. Because I changed classes before, and if we had to go shopping together in supermarket, could only meet at small blackboard on first floor or at entrance of shopping street. But now, I am leaving from a class.”

”Are you not used to it?”

”No, I just think it seems more accustomed to this way. After all, I only skipped classes for a few months.”

In other words, even though he skipped a class, he was still more accustomed to the days when they were in same class.

Although, Chabashira-sensei said that she should follow her inner thoughts, and Horikita’s idea was to follow Hikigaya-kun to where he was.

But if you are rejected by other party, it will be a bit stressful.

So now not only is she not rejected, but her partner has also adapted to her presence.

Suzune thinks this is not a bad idea.

While thinking this, she noticed that Hikigaya-kun stopped at shelf of women’s aprons.

Because it was a women’s apron, Horikita immediately assumed that Hikigaya-kun thought apron she was using was outdated.

But Suzune didn’t think there was anything wrong with her apron. It could be washed and reused. She had only bought it a year and a half ago.

”Come to think of it, your class was actually planning to hold a maid cafe during the cultural festival....”

”Well, this did happen. But it only lasted for six days.”

Is that so?

It only lasted for six days, and Hachiman had already learned details of what happened through Kushida-chan and Karuizawa.

This was not what he wanted to say, and it was not to hold someone accountable or teach Horikita a lesson.

”So you also participated in this project? To be precise, did you also buy a maid outfit?”

”What do you want to do?” Horikita Suzune immediately became alert. ’Although Hikigaya-kun rarely makes requests, every time he does, it bothers me. It will all feel tricky.’

”I’m just a little concerned. You usually wear school uniform. And casual clothes are all quite plain. How should I put it? You don’t have the temperament of a young girl.”

”I’m sorry that I don’t have the temperament of a young girl.” Suzune seemed a little dissatisfied and repeated his words with a cold face.

A little pout.

”Although maid cafe project failed, it’s not good to waste the costumes like this. So I suggest you make use of it.”

Take advantage of it.

Generally speaking, maid costumes are not worn outside, but they are used in the dormitory when cleaning or cooking.

”…” Suzune began to think.

”Horikita I know is a very frugal girl. I don’t think she would let clothes that are fine be kept in the closet to gather dust. It would be too pitiful for the clothes, wouldn’t it?”

’Isn’t it? That’s what it should be.’

Suzune felt that Hikigaya Hachiman seemed to be trying to persuade her.

’Could it be that this guy wanted to see me in a maid outfit? Not really...probably.’ Suzune was a little unsure, and then looked at Hikigaya-kun with a subtle look.

”Are you interested in love now?”

Although she is a loner, she is still aware of her appearance.

After Hikigaya went to Ryuen’s class this year, some love letters could occasionally be seen in her shoe cabinet.

Although she ignored it.

But this is also a sign that you may be targeted by boys.

So Hikigaya Hachiman...

”No. I haven’t changed my original idea. I still think that high school is for study, and here, gaining social experience in advance and then earning points is the most important thing. There’s no extra time for a relationship that won’t lead to marriage.”

Hearing this, Suzune felt a little relieved.

’Hikigaya-kun hadn’t changed much since he first entered school. I washed my apron yesterday, but it was cloudy all day and I couldn’t wear it, so I put it in the closet....It should be said that this is all Kushida-san’s fault. Originally, the girls were planning to set up a maid cafe during cultural festival, and they said that with so many cute girls in class, it would definitely be very popular....Then we went straight to order maid outfits....Although we could rent them at the shopping street, some girls said they didn’t like wearing clothes that had been used by others....’

At that time, Suzune remembered that her clothes had been lent to several girls by Hikigaya before.

’Am I not girly enough? However, it would be better to have clothes that belong to me....’

So, Horikita also participated in ordering clothes at that time.

’I bought it and wore it only once before cultural festival ended halfway.....’ Since she had spent 8,000 points, Horikita put the clothes away.

Look at it this way.

’This dress is one of the more expensive ones among my casual clothes. It is really unreliable to leave it in the closet gathering dust....’

”I understand. For now, I will use that piece of clothing as a temporary apron.”

”Right, right.” Hikigaya-kun nodded without showing any expression on his face.

In fact, it was at women’s apron shelf that Hikigaya saw a bunny girl costume that someone had no sense of public morality brought over, which reminded him of Chabashira-sensei.

Then he saw a small Chabashira... oh no, it was Horikita-sensei, and suddenly he remembered that girl seemed to have participated in a maid costume event, but it was ruined, so he had never seen her wearing a maid costume.

’Result....Horikita agreed. Suddenly I feel that it’s nice to be friends with her. She actually met this request...’

So, Hikigaya-kun continued shopping with her. ’I have a school trip tomorrow, so time is a bit tight....’

”....Oh my go---” Chika Fujiwara.

”Itai! Onii-chan, why did you hit me?”

”I called you two times. Here you are, snooping around. Why ar----”

”Hey, hey. Do you know those two? That boy just fooled his girlfriend into wearing a maid outfit.”
