COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

”....” Yukino shut up instantly. ’Sure enough, nothing can compare to my sister. Hikigaya-senpai actually already knew that I was sitting in the car where he had the accident, so... wait a minute!’

”So you actually knew me when I first entered school. Is this your revenge on me?” She quickly thought of something else. This topic seems to be a bit far-fetched.

Hikigaya-kun just didn’t want to leave any psychological burden on her, so he quickly put car accident behind him.

But, now Yukinoshita understood that he was actually taking revenge on the other party, so he recorded sound and picture of her meowing at the cat and did some weird things?

Indeed.

Normally, no one would record a video when seeing a beautiful girl meowing at a cat.

Hello, hello, hello.

”....” Hachiman also learned the ”truth” about car accident seven days before cultural festival.

’Now, if Yukinoshita understands it this way, then let go...After all, original purpose of recording her embarrassing scene was just to use it as a handle to drive her into action one day in the future. But opportunity to make big money using first grade has been seized and money has been taken. Then, no point in continuing to hold onto Yukinoshita Yukino’s leverage. Moreover, other party’s sister also gave 20 million in cash. It would be impolite to hold any leverage over her younger. Otherwise, sisters would eat me together...Isn’t this too much?’

”Your guess is probably correct. I will send you your video tonight, or destroy it directly. But if you want your sister to see you become stronger and gain her recognition, I will help you do it...”

Then he extended his hand to Yukino.

”After all, we are friends, right?”

Yukino used her pages to cover up her voice a little, ”...If you think so, I have no objection. However, I don’t have much experience in making friends, but I think that if you are friends, you should understand some things about each other.”

Then, she held Hikigaya-kun’s hand.

”So, can you also tell me information from your side?”

”If you want to ask, but if something is more obscure or hard to say, then I might refuse.” Yukino said again to confirm.

In other words, they are just ordinary friends and can’t go any further.

”.....”

’Hello. Why are there further ideas? As expected, even though I’m used to seeing cute or pretty girls, I still can’t help but be shaken when I come into contact with a super beautiful girl of the same style or level as Horikita. Damn restless heart of adolescence. Twenty million, twenty million....!’

Hikigaya-kun quickly calmed down by thinking about amount of cash other sister had given him.

The 3rd graders below were competing, but Hikigaya-kun got information from Yukinoshita through a ”friend.”

As speculated, Yukino Yukinoshita is a high school student of same grade as him, and both are students of Sobu High School.

But she was different from him. She stayed in Sobu High School for a year, and then was forced by her mother and sister to transfer to Advanced Nurturing High School.

However, Advanced Nurturing High School is not ordinary, so even if they want to get in through connections, they can only start as first-year students.

Got a little idea of her situation.

Yukinoshita also has an ambition, which is to replace her sister and become heir of Yukinoshita family.

Being an heir is not that easy.

Otherwise he wouldn’t have ignored Sakayanagi all this time.

If Sakayanagi’s health was better, he would take the initiative to approach her. After all, this might be the closest to his ideal goal.

’However, now that I have someone to choose from, Sakayanagi is no longer important....’ Hikigaya-kun feels a little relieved.

An hour later, Hikigaya went to podium in the playground.

As student council president, Sakayanagi is staying here now. Last year, Horikita Manabu announced results of sports festival here.

This year, student council president will also announce results of sports festival.

As her vice-president, Hikigaya-kun naturally needs to be present as well.

”Hikigaya-kun was in the audience the whole time....?”

”Yeah.” Hachiman admitted honestly, ”I thought Sakayanagi would come there audience as well. So I waited for a while. Because last year she also couldn’t participate in competition, so she stayed in the audience.”

”.....” Sakayanagi.

O ? O

’So, Hikigaya-kun has actually been waiting for me to come over? What was I doing? Playing games.....!’

Sakayanagi suddenly felt like she might have missed an opportunity, ”That’s a shame. Because I’m student council president this year, I have other things to deal with, so I didn’t go.”

It’s better than saying she got fascinated with Glow Hockey.

”It’s just that.” Sakayanagi thought she could still comfort Hikigaya who was waiting obediently in the audience seats, so she suggested, ”Hikigaya-kun, you will announce results of the exam next.”

’Generally, obtaining results of special exams or announcing are exclusive responsibility of student council president. Now, is Sakayanagi saying that she is willing to give all the president’s authority to me? But, it can’t be understood this way. After all, Sakayanagi was not in good health, so announcement of opening ceremony of sports festival in the morning was so brief....Now it would take a long time to announce test results of 3 grades. So she couldn’t hold on because of her physical discomfort?’

”If you insist, I have no objection.” Hikigaya-kun chose to take care of the other person’s body, ”So, is it okay for me to make announcement alone next?”

”Good Good. Then I’ll leave it to you.” So, she took out her cell phone, took a screenshot of her grades and sent it to Hikigaya Hachiman.

Hachiman checked and found that although it was very clear, he still couldn’t feel at ease until it turned into a result.

The score rankings of second graders in the sports festival are: Class A first, Class C second, Class B third, and Class D fourth.

These are all confirmed results.

3rd grade.

You can see that Kiryuin appears on playground again.

According to the information revealed by Asahina, Kiryuin was wronged by Kiriyama, and he deliberately used provocation.

In the end, Kiryuin failed to restrain herself and directly kicked and injured Kiriyama, and then she lost the qualification to take exam.

Then, she seemed to go back to dormitory.

Now, back on the playground.

It’s not that she’s no longer angry.

Rather, she wanted to confirm results of this sports festival.

Even if Kiriyama set up the trap on purpose, the strategy that had already been decided remained unchanged.

Hachiman stared at scores of third years.

First place: Grade 3, Class D +200 points

2nd place: Grade 3 Class C +100 points

3rd place: Class 3A - 100 points

Fourth place: Grade 3 Class B - 200 points

Hachiman was not surprised to see this result, because in this exam, seemingly useless transfer ticket was actually the cheapest and most promising ticket for promotion to a higher class in 3rd grade.

So it will definitely roll up.

The lower-ranked classes will even seize opportunity to counterattack.

Judging from results, Class A in Grade 3 also lost points, however.

This was due to lack of numbers and hardware, and also because Nagumo was very cruel to his own class at the time, and only kicked out those who opposed him, regardless of whether the other party was capable or not.

Therefore, Class A in Grade 3 has a small number of students and lacks strong.

Kiryuin’s own results were also cancelled, so this result was no exception.

Class 3-D and 3-C have advantage in numbers.

However, Hachiman felt that Kiryuin might have determined this result from beginning.

Class C and D are still far from Class A, so it doesn’t hurt to give them a little extra points, and it can also pull Class B down.

Because they can give Class D conditions, which Class B can’t give Class C, so why should Class C listen to them?

The possibility of forming a joint team between Class 3-B and Class 3-C has been reduced.

”Among them, top scorer in 3rd grade.....”

Passerbys.

After receiving transfer papers, there is a high probability that two students in Class D of Grade 3 will move to Class A.

Therefore, even though Class D was supported, seed players from Class D were also poached.

Therefore, Hachiman is afraid that Kiryuin will take the upcoming special exam more seriously, which will become even more cruel....

Vice President Hikigaya took over the responsibility of President Horikita last year and announced results of this sports festival.

”Now, let me announce results of this sports festival exam.”

”Start with first grade.”

”The classes will be ranked based on their total scores.

First place: Class 1 + 200 points, 2nd place: Class D + 100 points, 3rd place: Class B - 100 points, and last: Class C - 200 points.”

”Individual score ranking of first grade, boy ranked first...”

”Blah blah...”

”Who cares....”

Hachiman found that even after he announced all the results, President Sakayanagi did not leave, but continued to stand beside him. ’Does that mean her body can actually hold on?’

”Well, since we’ve been tired all day. How about going to the bathhouse in shopping district with me to relieve your fatigue? I’ve already arranged for Kamuro-san to go there, and she had a good experience.”

Forehead. Is this an invitation from student council president to take a bath?

When Horikita’s brother was still in school, Hachiman accepted other party’s invitation and even took Suzune to bathhouse for a massage.

Today Hachiman consumed a lot of physical energy.

So, he was really tempted.

But Hachiman shook his head again, ”I am tired but also have more important things to do.”

Rejected her again.

’•︵•’ Sakayanagi.

After sports festival, there is a date.

”Sophomores’ individual score ranking: first place for boys: Koenji Rokusuke from Class A, 2nd place Ken Sudo, 3rd place for boys.....”

”For girls, the first place....goes to.”

”Horikita Suzune.”

”Oyaaah!!”

”Woohooo! We did it!”

”Ew....Creeps...”

”She will receive 2 million points or a class transfer ticket (with restrictions).”

”The ranking of second graders’ scores by class.”

”Class A won first place, Class C won second place. The two classes will receive +200 and 100 points in class evaluation points respectively.”

”The 3rd-place is Class B, will be deducted -100 points from evaluation score.”

”The last place is Class D, you will lose 200 points, and your monthly salary will be decreased.”

”So...why...this?”

”It’s money...I lost. It’s all your fault, Koenji!”

???

Accompanied by Vice President Hikigaya-kun announcing results of the sports festival.

Everyone also learned that in individual scores, Koenji was first, Sudo was second, and Shibata from Ichinose’s class came in third.

For girls, Horikita-san took first place, Onodera took second, and Kamuro-san took 3rd place.
