COTE: A Man On A Mission || Love is War?

”Isn’t that good?” Katsuragi looked over with a bald shine, ”If it’s Class B, they’ll have to get 10 first place winners to beat us, but their seeded players have basically completed ninth and tenth events. So this is pretty much their limit....”

He opened a little notebook, took a glance, ”There are still a few students in our class who haven’t participated in all projects. They are taking a break now. Even Hashimoto and I still have two projects to go. So according to this analysis, our class has more room.”

”Do we have more room?” Sakayanagi’s cute little face didn’t make Katsuragi feel happy at all.

It means he missed something!

”Although Koenji gave up, he did not leave the playground but went to audience seats, so he also retained the opportunity to participate in three even-----”

”If you just keep your eyes on Class B, Katsuragi-kun, you will never grow up. Have you forgotten which class was forcing and oppressing ours in the past year? Who makes our class spend 1.2 million personal points on him every month?” Sakayanagi was sitting on a bench, with her left hand resting on a soft cow-cat, and she spoke casually.

As for Class A, monthly living expenses will first go through two channels.

After school transfers the money, a portion of it will be paid to Sakayanagi as ”class leadership fees”, and other portion is 30,000 points per person to be given to Ryuen.

But Sakayanagi just said ”he”, so she probably wasn’t talking about herself.

Then it can only be...

”The contractwith Ryuen. No, current owner is Hikigaya Hachiman.” Katsuragi has already reacted.

During last year’s uninhabited island exam, he and Ryuen made a contract, and then class also bought the basic points by paying money.

It can be said this is episode that Katsuragi hates most. Because this basic score was later proved to be meaningless, and he still had to pay money every month.

He himself suffered a psychological trauma during uninhabited island exam.

Even now they have been promoted to second grade, class is still paying 30,000 points per person per month, for a total of 1.2 million points.

”Indeed.” Katsuragi looked at current score of Class C.

Only 512 points, Ryuen.

”This is an open conspiracy. If you were not sure before, now you can confirm that not many of seeded players in Ryuen-kun’s class were actually arranged to go out. Even Dragon-boy himself has only participated in 6 projects so far.”

The sixth event is an additional event after five mandatory events in morning.

Everyone is well aware of Ryuen’s physical fitness. He is a gangster from a bad family and is hostile to Hosen who got expelled from school before, so it is naturally impossible for him to stop here.

So, there is only one answer.

During this sports festival, we didn’t hear about Ryuen’s class using any shady tactics, and didn’t even see their performance.

Ryuen’s class has hidden most of the seeded players and has not yet participated in additional events.

That is to say.

Got cheated!

Ryuen’s class was just sitting on the mountain watching fight between A and B classes, others to tear each other.

Doing so will only lead to one situation, that is, seeded players of the two classes will be crowded into a few events, and then for remaining...there will be no seeded players from....

So to speak.

Ryuen’s class can almost win without fighting!

Therefore, even though class has only 512 points, there are many people who are fishing.

If they can take first and second place in one event, then would be 8 points, and if it is a team effort, would be even higher.

Like riding a horse to fight.

Because there are four of us, you have to take away 200,000 at once!

The basketball game was even more outrageous, because there were more people in each team, so Ryuen’s class could also score more points.

It really was... a mistake!

”So what I need to do now is...”

Call Koenji back.

Even if Sakayanagi doesn’t say it, Katsuragi understands this.

Since Ryuen struck back, Class A no longer had the opportunity to go head-on with physically fit students.

Then you can only try your best to get the points your class can get.

Go and invite Koenji, who is hurt and frustrated with Ayanokoji, back, and let him get (5X3-3 registration fee) = 12 points first!

Katsuragi started to get busy.

”Sakayanagi, don’t you know a lot? Then why didn’t you give us an advance warning? Wouldn’t that be better?” Kamuro-san walked up to Sakayanagi with a cold face.

But she is the only one who can directly question her like this.

Others didn’t have so many ideas or courage.

After all, Sakayanagi is representative of her faction, one who collected money on first day of every month, and student council president.

However, in eyes of one or two classmates, they know that Sakayanagi is daughter of chairman.

So to speak. How can this girl be questioned and held accountable?

Definitely wouldn’t dare.

Otherwise, you might be regarded as next dropout.

After all, this school has many withdrawal exams, so it is always better to have a backup plan.

Didn’t Sakayanagi just point out that this was an open conspiracy?

The so-called open conspiracy means that once it is discovered, there is no way to stop it.

”Kamuro-san doesn’t have to speak if you’re not smart enough. Even if we see through Ryuen-kun’s class’s strategy, can we spare extra players to suppress him? Ryuen-kun and Ichinose-san, both classes are rising. Do you think we can suppress them at same time? Or if one class doesn’t operate well, other two classes will cooperate and surpass them. Then it’s not impossible for our class to drop to third place.”

Forehead, it was much better when you didn’t speak anything at all!

These words not only made Kamuro-san but also some students in the base camp keep quiet.

In this sports festival competition, the top two classes will get extra points, while bottom two will lose points.

If Class B and C are allowed to squeeze into top two places, then two classes will get extra points, while A will lose....

In this way, gap between each other will be shortened.

This kind of thing...don’t do it.

Therefore, correct solution is to suppress one class with all your strength to ensure that your own class will not be at risk of falling into third place.

In other words, even though Sakayanagi saw through Ryuen’s class’s strategy, she still made the best decision.

As expected of Sakayanagi.

At this time, Kamuro-san also noticed that although Sakayanagi was instructing Katsuragi, she was also busy herself.

Although her left hand was touching the cat, right hand was sliding quickly, as if she was refreshing OAA data.

But she was not checking who was currently in first or second place in terms of points.

Instead, clicked on a classmate’s message.

Check projects reported by other party.

Soon, it came out.

[Hikigaya Hachiman- has signed up for men’s doubles tennis match starting at 3:05 pm.]

Kamuro-san was not far away from her and soon noticed that Sakayanagi was refreshing Hikigaya-kun’s participation item.

”….”

’This girl is hopeless. So, the words she just said were just casually brought out to appease and win people’s hearts. Her mind was not here at all?!’

Kamuro-san suddenly realized that Hikigaya Hachiman was truly a sinner.

Hikigaya-kun is naturally a sinner.

Now Horikita has already participated in ninth project.

Now some students have completed all ten events, or many have had to stop due to lack of physical strength.

So, now ranking has been updated again.

Among them, Onodera directly took top spot.

No.1 Onodera, 50 points (participated in 10 events)

No.2: Minori Kinoshita, 49 points (already participated in 9 events)

No.3 Masumi Kamuro, Class A, 49 points (participated in 10 events)

No.4 Horikita Suzune, 44 points (participated in 8 events)

”…”

The ninth event that Horikita is going to participated in - Women’s volleyball.

This is a program that students of all grades can participate in. There is only a gender restriction, not a grade difference.

The ranking arrangement is that winning group can get 5 points per person, and losing group can get 1 point per person, and entry threshold is also 1 point per person.

So even if you lose, you will not lose.

But it will consume a lot of physical strength and energy.

So not many people want to participate in this project.

Volleyball requires 12 people, divided into 2 groups, with 6 people in each group.

There are 4 people in total: Horikita Suzune, Ibuki, Kushida, and Matsushita who are in the same group.

”Horikita-san, can I really participate in this project?” Matsushita seemed a little surprised.

Maybe she didn’t expect that girl would be pulled in to fill in numbers.

”If you get the points, it will be good for you. It will be a contribution to class. We have 3 people here.”

Three people can bring 15 points.

In fact, this time, Matsushita was considering trying hard and getting the first place.

After all, 2 million points is a big temptation for her.

But it’s a pity.

When she tried to work hard, she found that her ideal was perfect but the reality was cruel.

In the five mandatory events she participated in, lost first place in two.

Then she signed up for sixth event freely. Although her physical fitness was the best, she was not familiar with rules of this event, so she ended up getting 3rd place.

Then got first place in 7th item.

But because of previous defeat, she was in a mediocre state. Chiaki Matsushita realized that she couldn’t win championship, so just gave up on the spot.

As a result, she was contacted by Horikita and drafted into the army.

”In this case, there are still two people missing.....”

”Oh my——” However, at this time, a cute girl with purple twin ponytails walked over.

”You seniors seem to be troubled. Have you encountered any difficulties?” The girl took initiative to talk.

This familiar expression is worrying.

Kushida-senpai is especially worried because the cute girl with twin ponytails who came here is not some other junior school girl, but Amasawa Ichika from Class 1-A.

A girl that Kushida-chan considers her natural enemy.

Based on what Kushida-chan knew about her, although Amasawa’s initiative to greet her seemed accidental, she must have been following them for a while.

Then if she shows up on her own initiative, must be trying to cause trouble.

”...Maybe I should offer flowers at night today?”

Kushida-chan muttered to herself.
