Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1273 - 655: Giant Core, Behemoth Catalysis (2)

The normal treehouse core is the size of a fist, while the core of the world tree is much larger, like a small mountain.

This basketball-sized core falls somewhere between the two.

But this brightness, it feels somewhat... unusually bright?

Xu Xin’s heart stirred: ”Could this be...”

Li Wenxi struggled a little to place the Crystal Ball on the table: ”So heavy...”

”This is the giant’s core.” Xu Ying plopped down onto the sofa, sprawling comfortably.

”Giant core?” Li Wenxi was puzzled, ”What giant... Ah!”

Li Wenxi was surprised and covered her mouth, turning to look at Xu Xin: ”Is it that...”

Xu Xin nodded: ”It’s the one who claimed its body is spread all over the world, and by finding all of its body parts, it can be resurrected.”

He stared at the core for a few seconds and finally exclaimed, ”You’ve actually found all the giant’s body parts...”

Earlier, after Xu Xin and the others found a fragmentary crystal in the location of the giant’s head, they started paying attention to the giant’s body all over the world.

Later, they also discovered several parts of the giant’s body, but various events occurred one after another, leaving them with no time to search for the giant’s body parts.

Later on, they learned the truth about the world, that the giant was actually a superhuman created by Xu Xin and Xu Ying from another dimension through gene experiments, instilling some thoughts in it so it would protect Earth until the last moment.

But ultimately, it was killed.

”Resurrect?” Xu Ying scoffed, ”Impossible. I said earlier, this giant is the essence of our experiment. This is the core that sustains the energy for the giant’s massive body. This thing can indeed create another giant, but it won’t be the same giant, and there’s no need for that.”

Xu Ying briefly recounted her experience of her recent outing.

It turns out she went to find the giant’s body.

Though the giant is dead, the core within its body is indeed very important.

In reality, its body wasn’t deliberately distributed worldwide as the giant’s message claimed, but rather scattered during a very tragic battle, affected by high-tech weapons and blown apart.

Therefore, the distances between the locations of various giant body parts aren’t actually very far.

Just like Xu Xin and Ji Chaoyang, their treehouses were close, but there were giant body parts near both treehouses.

Xu Xin’s side had the head, Ji Chaoyang’s side had the arm.

Previously, a giant body part was found some distance away at the treehouse location of Zeng Tao and Qin Fu.

And discoveries were made at the treehouse of Wen Guixin and Wang Lei as well.

In fact, within the 188 area where Xu Xin and the others were, they had already found four locations of giant body parts.

This contradicts the giant’s statement that its body was deliberately placed across the globe.

But if we consider it as Xu Ying explained, then it’s relatively normal.

”No wonder you asked me for the giant’s fragmentary core earlier.” Xu Xin laughed helplessly, ”If you said you were going to find it, we’ve already found many places — telling you could save a lot of time.”

”There’s no need for that. As long as I have this fragmentary core in hand, I can easily assemble this core.” Xu Ying put her feet up on the coffee table, kicked the crystal on it.

The crystal rolled along the coffee table again, crashing to the ground with a ”bang.”

”Ying...!”

From upstairs came Keke’s cry.

A furry little head popped out from the gap in the upstairs railing, taking a look.

”Ying?”

The little creature swiftly ran down, jumped onto the Crystal Ball, and perched on it.

”Ying~”

It seemed very comfortable?

”This... This is the concentrated type of white crystal!” Li Wenxi nudged Keke lying on the Crystal Ball, causing the ball to roll back and forth while guessing, ”The brightness of this crystal feels much higher than the brightness of the crystal buildings in Crystal City!”

”So, what’s the function of this Crystal Ball?” Xu Xin asked.

It’s also much higher than the treehouse core.

Even the world tree core in the underground space of the world tree is much higher.

There’s a sense of concentrated essence.

”Exactly, it’s concentrated crystal!”

Xu Ying sat up straight on the couch.

”Alien invaders can concentrate red crystals, so naturally, we can concentrate white crystals. Don’t forget, that giant is the ultimate weapon we researched to combat alien invaders. It possesses extremely strong beast bloodlines, high intelligence, and nearly invincible physical abilities and self-healing abilities. All these abilities are achieved through...”

Xu Ying pointed to the radiant white crystal ball on the floor: ”Through this. Otherwise, maintaining long-term combat ability with such a large and powerful body is not so easy. So, this crystal is one of our top research achievements, containing very powerful energy that allows rapid growth in giant beasts.”

Oh...?

Xu Xin immediately understood what Xu Ying wanted to do: ”You want to... rapidly transform those mutated creatures outside Crystal City into giant beasts?”

Although Crystal City has the ability to subdue and rapidly grow giant beasts, in the current situation, the growth speed is still too slow.
