Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1261 - 651: Prostration and Rapid Development (Part 2)

Xu Xin and the others exchanged looks.

They truly hadn’t expected the events in the underground world to acquire such a magical hue.

That in just one day’s time, something causing intense upheaval throughout the underground world would unfold.

”So, the people you brought up this time...” Lou Fei’Er exclaimed, ”are they all your followers?”

”Yes, the vast majority are, and they are fanatic followers,” Xu Ying said, rubbing her temples with a slightly troubled expression, ”They’re just... too enthusiastic.”

Xu Ying had personally met with this group of people.

When their deity suddenly appeared before them, and the fanatic followers witnessed a ”miracle” unfold, the scene was...

Indescribable.

Fortunately, Xu Ying’s words were supreme to the fanatic followers, so no chaos ensued.

But being worshiped by so many people simultaneously made Xu Ying feel somewhat overwhelmed.

”No wonder you didn’t release them immediately upon returning,” Shi Wanyun chuckled softly.

”Yes, I’m a bit overwhelmed. Mainly, their numbers are too large. We need to discuss releasing them, or the population inside the world tree would swell several times over,” Xu Ying said, troubled.

”Can our city accommodate so many people at once?” Jin Yue asked.

”Yes, it can,” Li Wenxi pointed to a patch of tall buildings outside the window, ”That area was built in advance for the residents of the underground world by the ones who already moved here.”

To welcome their compatriots, they spared no effort in construction.

And they received help from the survivors too.

”Fanatic followers, huh, not bad,” Xu Xin stroked his chin, ”Although a lot came at once, these people should be easy to manage and won’t cause trouble.”

”Yeah, that’s one of the reasons I brought so many people back at once,” Xu Ying nodded, then patted Xu Xin’s shoulder, slightly smug, ”They’re very obedient to you and me, bro! Extremely, extremely obedient.”

...

Xu Xin immediately convened all the members of the explorers to inform them of the situation.

After their initial shock, the members all indicated that with their current level of urban planning and food resources, supporting over ten thousand more people wouldn’t be a difficult task at all.

Moreover, an increased population meant more labor, benefiting them fundamentally.

Not to mention these are a very obedient group of fanatic followers.

Thus, after discussions, everyone decided to let Xu Xin and Xu Ying head outside the world tree to release over ten thousand people, letting them experience the true surface world before bringing them back into the world tree.

Only when they truly see the limitless sky, the dazzling sun, and feel the wind on the surface will they have a clear perception of it.

Such awareness will drive them to truly engage in the battle to reclaim Earth.

Outside the world tree.

”So, bro, should I release them?” Xu Ying asked.

”Don’t release them all at once, release them in batches, about a thousand people per batch,” Xu Xin instructed.

”Huh? Why?”

”Now...”

Xu Xin informed her about the situation around the world tree being monitored by alien invaders.

”Releasing over ten thousand people all at once would be somewhat exaggerated, potentially provoking them to quickly annihilate this place,” Xu Xin explained, ”We aren’t ready for a direct confrontation with them yet.”

”...Has the situation become so unstable already?” Xu Ying’s face showed slight concern, then she nodded, ”Alright, I understand. Though it seems of little significance.”

”Being a little cautious isn’t bad.”

Immediately, over a thousand people were released.

The group that was released was initially engaged in lively discussions, the sudden shift in scenery gave them all quite a start.

Soon, they were awe-struck by the landscape of the surface world.

For a moment, the noisy crowd fell silent for a few seconds.

Then they exploded into excitement.

”My... my God...”

”Is this the world above... Is this... is this sunlight...”

”Is this the legendary dazzling sunlight! I feel tears are going to fall...”

”Oh my... oh my... the sky truly is infinitely high! There really... really is an infinitely high sky!”

”Suddenly feel so insignificant...”

It was afternoon, a time when the sun was at its brightest.

And the sky was clear and vast.

As soon as they emerged, they witnessed the brightest and most azure sky.

At the same time, many of them saw their two gods.

Immediately, to Xu Xin’s slight bewilderment, a large swath of people kneeled down.

In fact, each one suppressed their shock and yearning for the surface world and uniformly knelt before Xu Xin and Xu Ying.

Good heavens...

Xu Xin then understood what Xu Ying meant by indescribable before.

This scene...

It truly felt like being an emperor.

Of course, not all of them knelt, there were still dozens who didn’t.

They were the few non-fanatical followers, but seeing the view around them also stirred up their emotions immensely.

They wanted to say something to Xu Xin and Xu Ying, but in such an atmosphere, they dared not speak.

Xu Ying poked Xu Xin, indicating that he should handle it.
