Starting Off Survival With A Small Treehouse

Chapter 1262 - 651: Worship and Rapid Development (Part 3)

”Everyone, please lift your heads. I am not the powerful deity you imagine. I am human, just like you, so there’s no need for such ceremonial gestures.”

Xu Xin’s words prompted the followers present to raise their heads one by one.

The reason they lifted their heads wasn’t because Xu Xin said he was human, but simply because he said, ”Please lift your heads.”

Listening to the words of a deity.

As for the deity saying he wasn’t a deity?

That must be a joke.

The sincerity and fanaticism in their eyes seemed as if they were going to consume the two of them.

Is this what a fanatic follower is...

Xu Xin suddenly felt overwhelming pressure.

”You should take them back...” Xu Xin whispered to Xu Ying, ”Let’s discuss other matters inside the world tree later, otherwise I feel we’ll waste a lot of time. There are still a dozen more batches of people.”

”Indeed.”

Xu Ying nodded.

She briefly explained to these people. They completely did not refuse and were easily taken back by Xu Ying.

Then, batch after batch of people were released, and the previous situation replayed over and over.

Xu Xin, from being initially shocked and uncomfortable, slowly became accustomed, then started to feel indifferent.

Forget it, if these people want to kneel, then let them kneel; if they want to worship, then let them worship.

Finally, once all these people had experienced the real surface world, Xu Xin and Xu Ying breathed a sigh of relief and quickly returned inside the world tree.

...

In front of the world tree’s control console, Qin Fu was raising his eyebrows, touching his chin, observing the surroundings.

He had been here watching for half a day.

Although Xu Xin and Xu Ying were only out for half an hour, inside the world tree, a day had already passed.

He was constantly paying attention to the changes around during this time.

”This has really attracted quite a few long-haired monkeys. Have they indeed been noticed?”

”I feel that we can’t remain indifferent anymore. Since we already have weapons, we should take them out.”

”Die, you all... Forget it, better to ask the boss about their thoughts.”

...

Returning to the world tree, these over ten thousand people were released.

Xu Xin and Xu Ying also told them about the situation here, under their fanatical gaze.

They accepted everything here almost without any hesitation.

And then continued to look at Xu Xin and Xu Ying with fanaticism, awaiting the next instruction.

Xu Xin couldn’t stand their gaze anymore and immediately contacted Lou Fei’Er.

”Your formidable task has arrived, manage these newcomers well,” Xu Xin said with a voice full of helplessness, ”Bring more people, you can’t handle it alone.”

He now felt that as long as he and Xu Ying were here, these people would become incapable of thinking for themselves and completely follow Xu Xin’s command.

Though in some cases, this attitude of complete obedience can be very useful, but now, when they need to integrate here, choose residences, make occupational choices and distributions...

These people are like they’ve lost their minds...

They just want Xu Xin and Xu Ying to make choices for them.

Xu Xin can’t make choices for over ten thousand people!

Better to leave it to Lou Fei’Er. If Lou Fei’Er leads them, these people shouldn’t be so rigid and should start thinking for themselves...

”Hehe, I’ve been prepared for a long time, don’t worry, I’ll learn about these people well and assign them to suitable positions!”

Lou Fei’Er said very confidently.

Xu Xin and Xu Ying quickly escaped back to the villa.

Although the two had long been accustomed to being leaders, this feeling of being a religious leader really made them uncomfortable.

They even felt like they were some kind of cult leader.

Because they certainly weren’t any deities...

”Why is it so fanatical...” Xu Ying lay on the sofa, buried her head into it, murmuring, ”It’s a bit scary...”

”Haha... let Lou Fei’Er handle it, she should be able to communicate normally with those people,” Xu Xin said exhaustedly.

Unexpectedly, being revered by people turned out to be so tiring.

”I feel like we should place these people a bit further away...” Xu Ying propped herself up, saying, ”Otherwise, we wouldn’t be able to live normally here!”

”Just explain things to them clearly, tell them we’re not deities, and ask them not to act that way in the future,” Xu Xin sighed.

”Didn’t you just explain? Did they listen? Not at all,” Xu Ying rolled her eyes, ”Clearly all other orders are fully executed, but this kind of explanation is ignored.”

”Maybe that’s what fanatic followers are,” Xu Xin shrugged, ”If they weren’t fanatics, they wouldn’t decide to leave their homes and follow you to the surface in just a day.”

”True. Hope those who come up next aren’t so fanatical...” Xu Ying thought of the previous scene, rubbed her goosebumps-covered arms, and sighed.

At this moment, only the two of them were in the villa.

Li Wenxi, Shi Wanyun, and the others were all pulled away by Lou Fei’Er to help.

Even Keke wasn’t around.

”By the way, you mentioned before that the Wei Family would come up too, right? When?” Xu Xin asked.

”They still need to manage the big picture. Once a considerable number of underground world residents are transferred up, the Wei Family will also move up as a whole.”

Xu Ying rolled over, lying on the sofa.

”As for the other two families, they want to continue staying in the underground world. They can’t let go of their underground properties.”

Xu Xin nodded and said, ”That’s good too, with those two families managing, the underground won’t become chaotic. The ones who want to come up are, in the end, few.”

Out of the billions of people in the underground world, it’d be good if millions are willing to return to the surface.

Now, there isn’t any severe disaster in the underground world. Whether to reclaim Earth seemingly doesn’t matter to them.

Most people would wonder why bother coming up when they’re living well below?

Even if things above are better, they might not necessarily come up, let alone fight after coming up.

Unless something extremely disastrous, like war or natural disaster, happens below, those with willpower are still in the minority.

”A million is plenty.” Xu Ying sat up, looked at Xu Xin, and smiled, ”If a million really do come up, our development might be as rapid as riding a hypersonic missile!”

The productivity of high-grade soil inside the world tree makes feeding a million people effortless.

And a workforce and combat power at the level of a million, along with the terrifying production capability of the treetop house, and the world tree’s time acceleration.

Inside the world tree, development will reach a speed beyond anything they previously imagined!
