Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Hill was well aware that if his Natural Spells incorporated the Power of Light, it would be a significant advancement.

Especially in Nature’s Call, which he excelled at, and in water-mist type Puzzle Locks.

Under sufficient sunlight, plants grow better, and their roots delve deeper.

And every drop of water infused with the Light of Healing would possess stronger healing properties.

The Light Mist would also have a greater effect on restoring energy.

Most importantly, all these enhancements wouldn’t require Hill to expend extra Mana.

As long as he possessed this Light Rune and deeply comprehended its meaning.

Of course, it had to be this special type of Natural Rune that not many Sun Gods possessed.

The Life Pool capable of creating Battle Angels is indeed extraordinary.

Indeed, the combination of Life Energy and Positive Energy is the common understanding of light... Teraxil’s sun is a proper sun.

Hill couldn’t care less about anything else... He initially thought he wouldn’t gain any benefit from this, aside from some fun!

Although it was somewhat a contribution to Teraxil, the substantial gain seemed to be only a somewhat satisfactory student.

It was the first time he encountered such an imbalance between effort and reward.

Unexpectedly, the true benefit was here!

The Magic Level he had been dreaming of, two levels might be a bit too high an aim, but surely he could rise by at least one and a half levels?

He always knew that fate loved him... It would never let him feel despair!

Hill gleefully stared at the Rune, it was a lifesaver~

-----------------

”What is Hill doing?” Celene couldn’t help but look over.

Shaer glanced in that direction.

She understood why Celene was curious... Perhaps it was because of the impact she and Celene had on the Floating Castle for a while, so Hill always got nervous whenever the two of them bickered.

He wouldn’t relax until they went their separate ways.

Of course, he also liked watching the excitement.

Although Shaer remained silent, she understood how amusing it was for those who knew their past to witness her and Celene arguing and bickering.

Even the Great Peacock, stripped of its feathers, preferred to pretend to sleep instead of leaving, just for a bit of fun!

Of course, Lansendel would also come over later because he really liked little Hill.

But for some reason, this time, Hill wasn’t focused on them at all.

Shaer looked up at the enormous screen... Asmodier was still there resting his claws with his eyes shut.

Rose, that little spider, remained completely still.

Speaking of which, this fellow was truly discerning, not giving Asmodier any chance to act and kick her out of the beneficiary’s faction.

It seems she really wanted that Water of Life.

But thinking about it, it made sense... When Shaer had her Chosen attack the spider web, she had picked a very strategic spot.

Not only could it crash part of her web, but it could also blow up Rose’s workshop for making human-faced spiders.

Rose’s neighbors didn’t disappoint her; when they discovered tiny fragments of the Plane dropping down, they zealously pulled quite a bit towards their own homes.

What could Rose do?

Her ferocity was meaningless before her neighbors... An Abyssal Lord knows the value of neighbors best.

If the neighbor is too strong, they would definitely move away.

If they are just slightly weaker, it’s fine, as they can interact with the neighbors next door.

If the neighbor is malicious, then everyone would naturally form an Alliance.

So, around Rose, there wasn’t anyone she could easily deal with.

If she didn’t want the neighbors to team up and take out her shrunken Plane first, she could only play dead.

Therefore, Rose, who loved creating some peculiar life forms, had to temporarily abandon her hobby and first mend her shabby spider web.

Her accumulation of tens of thousands of years, gone just like that.

To say, Shaer hadn’t expected Rose to let go of hatred so easily.

This fellow really knew how to seize the key points.

When the troubles Shaer created for her far exceeded his gains, Rose wouldn’t cling to that bit of resentment, even though she still coveted.

However, it seemed Rose still longed for her hobby... A single drop of Water of Life was enough to create a Larong Demon, not to mention those bizarre spiders.

These two probably weren’t the focus of Hill’s attention.

Especially Rose, whom Hill didn’t even want to look at.

What could it be then, the Pool of Life?

Hasn’t that thing been glowing all the time?

Shaer slightly frowned and turned to Celene: ”What is Lansendel doing?”

”Sleeping!” Celene quickly replied, pointing at the Great Peacock with wings evenly covering it.

Shaer took a deep breath... and waved to isolate the area where Hill was located.

Only then did she start to growl softly: ”Is that what I meant?

Do you have a brain at all!

The one crouched beside you on Heavenly Mountain!”

Celene suddenly realized: ”Oh oh oh oh~ I don’t know what I’m doing, my beady eyes are almost turning into a crystal ball, hmm... staring at that Pool of Life!”

Shaer squinted slightly: ”Do you not feel anything when you look at that pool?”

”Hmm?” Celene tilted her head, ”Nope~ It’s all light.”

Shaer looked at her steadily for a moment before turning her head back to ponder alone: Lansendel was also watching, so it must have something to do with light.

The light runes at the base level?

Only that thing could give the Great Peacock some insight... over the years, the deities who continued walking on their original path remained just him.

But why does Celene feel nothing?

Shaer had that confidence, even if she extended her hand slightly beyond the darkness, it wouldn’t affect her path in the darkness... no one understands darkness better than her.

Moreover, she controlled all the sub-laws related to darkness, which weren’t overly deviating.

However, Celene was even more focused than her!

That guy only abandoned laws, never found more paths.

How could she not feel the light runes at all?

Although the direction of light is different, it might be understandable that Celene isn’t as good as Lansendel, but surely she isn’t inferior to Hill, right?

Hill isn’t a mage specializing in light!

While the World Tree would definitely have some insights about light to pass on to him, they must be of a more general type: light and heat related to plants.

How can Celene be completely unaware, unable to see anything?

Was it that the Silverfire she received at that time reduced her sensitivity to light?

Or could it be... Shaer frowned slightly... after being shattered into Suren and then inexplicably restored to Celene, she hasn’t completely repaired her inner core.

Although her outwardly displayed strength has already reached strong divine power, since she was damaged before, her inner core...

A slight smile appeared on Shaer’s lips: that fear of hers could probably be eased a bit now.

She had been a little worried during this period, otherwise, why else would she idly stay with those two brainless idiots!

Hill might be lovable, but he couldn’t withstand the silly words of those two fools.

But Celene restored strong divine power, Amanata returned, plus Lansendel all along... The light side of Toril has become too dazzling.

Those three would, of course, never become allies, but from observing this world, it’s clear... they could team up.

Amanata’s temper and personality, could anyone just go up and convince him?

Impossible!

That guy’s a jerk!

Back then, many people, including deities, warned him about Naesreiel’s uncontrollability!

Even his demigod chosen warned him vaguely.

But he was just so confident.

However, advice jointly proposed by Lansendel and Celene, he would listen... How could Amanata possibly miss the Silvermoon markings on Aislin?

That’s why he withdrew so decisively.

This guy is still very clear that if it were a deception, Celene and Lansendel certainly wouldn’t have been able to come together.

That’s the point that made Shaer vigilant.

The previous Celene, who hadn’t restored to strong divine power, rarely intervened in these matters... she still cherished her own life.

But now, she not only does, but is also willing to team up with Lansendel to appear!

The silvermoon maiden who used to appear only in front of certain lunar-deities and individuals has gone forever.

At that moment, Shaer truly felt her heart tighten.

She still had many plans in Toril!

If Celene wants to start showcasing her strength in the mortal world, wouldn’t Shaer be the best opponent?

The key is, she really could find her.

Things that Celene would never point out as Suren, she now absolutely wouldn’t hesitate.

Ha~ turns out, she hasn’t fully recovered~

Fortunately... Shaer raised her eyebrows... this guy is just bluffing.

So there are still some things that can be done.

”Shaer... are you thinking about anything unfavorable to me?” Celene suddenly asked.

”It has nothing to do with a waste like you.” Shaer replied coldly, pointing out the things they both knew well.

”After discovering my weakness, sister has no scruples now~” Even if she initially couldn’t quite figure it out, but once Lansendel’s behavior became so obvious, how could Celene not know what she’d exposed?

Yet she has nothing to fear.

In the past, she avoided Shaer because if their divine powers collided again, any new god would essentially split from her power... the weaker her inevitably would have more divinity torn away.

Although she didn’t care much about divinity and such, she also wouldn’t want to split her core either!

Shaer’s good son proved this point, didn’t he?

That’s a true son!

She, as the Silvermoon Maiden, definitely doesn’t want to be such a miserable mother!

But now, even if her inner core has issues, her divine power has almost fully recovered.

She won’t take the initiative to trouble Shaer, but she won’t run away upon seeing her!

Celene puffed out her chest and looked at Shaer... hey~ now I’ve got guts~
