Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Celene’s displeasure didn’t last too long.

After all, she actually knew how much patience she had... If the Styx really didn’t care when this world would turn into one with half daytime and half dark sun, and didn’t plan to personally accelerate the progress, then this time was enough for Celene to forget this world.

She said somewhat absent-mindedly, ”Hmm... hmm? So, Styx doesn’t care if Amanata devours this world’s sun, is that right?”

”Nonsense!” Shaer mocked as she spoke, ”Amanata devoured that thing, and it only affects Toril.

Why should the Styx care about what other’s worlds turn into?

He probably is fed up with Toril... a pile of mess!

Amanata doesn’t have the power of Asmodier to completely transform this world into his own.

Got defiled...”

Then she abruptly shut her mouth.

Apparently, when Shaer was with William, she watched much of the Undead Tribe’s comedic life... Otherwise, she wouldn’t speak such standard undead statements.

Celene was a bit puzzled, but Hill understood exactly what she was speaking about... The one defiled by Amanata, smelly as only affecting Toril, and the one endlessly opposing the Grim Reaper, AO.

While Styx doesn’t care about the existence of those grim reapers nor the souls stolen, he surely wouldn’t like the idle nuisances randomly dumping and blocking the riverways.

Of course, Shaer withdrew her words not because she remembered the word ”AO” is the most disgusting, but because she, who always appeared with an elegant posture as the mysterious songstress and dancer, had never uttered such foul language.

Ha, close to red, one becomes red; close to ink, one becomes black; close to William, then one’s mouth blackens.

Hill pursed his lips, realizing in his heart that Styx actually wouldn’t mind cooperating with Lansendel... although he couldn’t bother with idle matters, he was quite willing to help make the world a bit less burdensome.

After all, if that day of eternal night truly arrived, devils would inevitably make a comeback.

The will of Styx is indeed incomparably strong, but he carries enough parasites on him.

For example, Hell.

His guard against Asmodier isn’t without reason... As the Lord of Hell, Asmodier can indeed slightly affect the Styx branches flowing through Hell.

Therefore, Styx can open the door to release Asmodier’s blockade of his power but can’t expel the devil’s claws entirely out of his domain.

Of course, he wouldn’t do that.

To him, these little bugs on his body, though annoying, are inherently part of his body.

Thus, since the one exerting effort is the Lord of Dawn, naturally, he chooses cooperation.

And cooperates quite excellently... Of course, this also relates to the longstanding animosity between Netherwater Goddess and Kashus.

Although Hill already knew that no Deities of Water dislike this opportunistic, rude, Fire Element Lord meddling everywhere, even the Netherwater Goddess residing in the deepest and quietest part of the Water Elemental Plane is annoyed with him... If not for the betrayals from evil elements back then, Kashus might have already been taken down by the Deities of Water at the Element Lords council.

Anyway, the Elemental Gods won’t die, at most just sleep for tens of thousands of years.

But everyone can achieve temporary peace... The key is, the other Fire Element Gods and those who dislike contacting the mundane world, having no divine names but equally powerful Fire Element Lords, also won’t help him.

Evil Fire Elements still have two partners!

After all, no one dies, even if the play is messed up, you can be a hero again in ten thousand years, and there are actually quite a few elements that only care about having fun.

Only Kashus, in the Elemental Realm, ended up this way, with loads of enemies and not a single ally.

Ah... He and Amanata becoming friends probably makes sense.

Hill thought for sure that similar characters must repel each other... How did the two become attracted?

”It’s all Amanata’s fault!” Celene struggled for a while, suddenly made such hasty judgment.

Hill couldn’t help but glance at her, then suddenly realized... she wasn’t wrong to blame.

If Amanata hadn’t been beguiled by Asmodier and truly set his sights on this world’s sun, then Lansendel and Celene would only happily accept a string of gratitude and carefree return to Toril.

At most, bring the Undead Tribe over to repair this unlucky world.

This world, actually had nothing to attract Lansendel’s attention.

And as the world went to the phase of eternal sun... people, along with plants and animals alive on earth, long since under the influence of Styx Force, would grow accustomed to the Netherworld power.

Styx, though having his schemes, wasn’t intending to directly doom everyone.

Or rather, he himself doesn’t harbor any notion of accelerating death... For him, death is only the fairest.

He doesn’t enjoy overtime with no reason.

Though most of the time, Styx flows are natural and free, yet there will inevitably be places where he must delegate Styx envoys for cleanup.

While his actions are slow, yet it’s not that he doesn’t do it... Moreover, various Styx envoys sailing along the Styx will report these troubles to him.

After all, only having his approval can Styx envoys invoke these undead in non-owned stream sections.

Thus, Styx can be said to be ruthless, but not that he indiscriminately harms innocents.

Anyway, the time in the Styx is endless, and this world is just of interest to some of his experiments; he doesn’t necessarily need to see the results immediately.

Although the dual-core sun and moon might make Lansendel and Celene a bit conflicted, without the key premise of a Toril crisis, Lansendel absolutely wouldn’t work so hard to suppress this sun.

He, unlike Celene, doesn’t entirely want to avoid the appearance of the Dark Moon.

Besides, the Sun God in this world fell long ago... and the dark core above the sun really didn’t develop well from the start.

The existence of dual moons can be understood, but dual suns are quite baffling... not at all complying with the laws of the sun.

Even Toril, which was inexplicably turned into a fiery star, didn’t show such terrible phenomena!

So, although it exists, that thing really developed poorly.

After all, the sun is so scorching and bright.

Otherwise, Amanata wouldn’t be completely indifferent... although blinded by greed, not everything could make him blind.

The reason Lansendel could discover it was partly due to his original suspicion and also his light being naturally more sensitive to evil forces.

The scorching ray, which is a fire of exorcism, isn’t something everyone can wield so well.

Of course, this might also be Toril’s fortune.

Lansendel not only discovered the oddity of this world but also was kind enough to try to stop Amanata’s foolishness.

Indeed, Hill suddenly realized another fact... if not for his presence, Lansendel and Celene were absolutely unlikely to be so friendly as to discuss their encounters together.

Aislin’s dual-core moon performance wasn’t noticed by Lansendel’s Chosen, right?

Given the presence of Glaysia’s soul, most people would attribute it all to the antics of the Princess of Hell.

Only Celene could clearly and unmistakably understand what was happening.

And another who knows the truth, Shaer... she is the one who would help Amanata and figure out ways to obscure Lansendel’s vision.

It seems the more you see the cause and effect, the more you understand the reason for being forced to stay silent~

Hill understands well, even without him, William and Shaer might still come together.

But without him, the friendship between Celene and Lansendel would definitely not be so good, and Shaer wouldn’t temporarily reach a peace agreement with them.

Although this lady would still do what she needs to do, at least she wouldn’t openly clash with these two.

She would only choose to exert herself where no one could detect it.

Hill couldn’t help but move a bit on the sofa... indeed, it’s all related to him...

”What is Lansendel doing?” Celene’s face was almost pressed against the huge screen, ”Give Amanata two punches!

Send him back to Toril directly!

This fool... has lost all of Toril’s face!

A Sun God tempted by the Lord of Devils and kicked out by the Styx’s will!”

”Since when did Toril have face?” Shaer asked lightly, ”From the old man onward, it’s been synonymous with crooked ways.

You really don’t know how bothered other worlds are by us?”

”What’s the bother? No matter how much they dislike us, they can only be angry for nothing!” Celene justified boldly, ”But, you can dislike, but can’t look down upon!

Amanata’s appearance... if those outside think Toril deities are all like this, there will soon be invading God Systems... hmm?

The old man did it on purpose?

It can’t be that he doesn’t know Amanata is up to these tricks.”

”Anmur and Mulanhould, the two most useful God Systems, probably won’t easily enter Toril again.” Shaer, who always watches these things coldly, sees more clearly than anyone, ”The Elf Deity System, huh~ will only not leave Toril completely because they still yearn for those beautiful times.

Although Teraxil is quite good, he won’t want the World Tree to give him a severe blow, so he can’t do anything other than entice... Can he suppress my actions in seduction?

Toril cannot be without Exterior Gods.”

After all, the laws are not yet entirely perfected, right?

Hill slightly pursed his lips... Toril’s laws not being perfect are why their God Systems are chaotic, with each continent having its own beliefs.

Though Shaer and Celene have their respective representations within those God Systems, other deities can only be referred to as Faerûn Continent God Systems.

Of course, the reason why this situation emerged naturally relates to those continents being experimental grounds created by AO.

All modeled after the photo of various God Systems.

Including the Heavenly Court on the Suolong Continent... it’s practically an odd mixture.

So, AO absolutely cannot accept Toril devoid of any new blood.
