Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Moreover, most importantly, Hermes is very measured.

He did not intend to involve the Master of Time and Space, or even his God System members, in this chaotic situation, he just hoped the other side would provide a Divine Artifact that he could utilize.

It was a one-time use.

With the Master of Time and Space’s calculating ability, he must be able to estimate the baseline of this cause and effect... And Hermes surely treaded on that baseline, perhaps even without touching it, when he made his request.

This man is indeed the only brain beside Zeus.

Honestly, if the Greek God King was someone like Hermes, then... Greek Mythology would never have turned into that absurd opera.

However, the reason why brainy beings exist is because apart from their mind, nothing else works for them.

In the Fantasy World, timing, geographical advantage, and human harmony, human harmony is always placed last.

Yet this guy’s reach is truly long... What exactly did Tai Ji tell Hermes back then, that turned this Messenger, always loyal to Zeus, into someone who decisively dismembered Zeus?

Hmm... Considering Zeus’s character, if he truly reached a point of no return, he would surely choose to push all those deities around him as scapegoats.

Even if he could delay his death by a second, he would place even his most loved one in front of him.

Moreover, given his cowardly nature, those pushed first, dying most miserably and innocently, would certainly be those who trusted him more.

Someone like Athena, Apollo, and Artemis whom he neither controls nor deceives, they would instead survive till the end.

Isn’t there a precedent... among the three virgin goddesses who believed they would never be harmed by Zeus, his sister Hestia was directly abandoned by him.

There’s no way around it, as the Goddess of Hearth and Family, Hestia’s connection with the Mortal Realm is too close.

With her on Mount Olympia, the Divine Kingdom would not easily detach from the world.

Of course, Hestia wasn’t completely gone.

Even Zeus didn’t have the means to do anything to this sister... Remember, when Hestia vowed to stay chaste, she did so holding up Zeus’s hair as his promise.

So, he simply took the chance when Hestia went to the Mortal World to receive the offerings from the mortals, to participate in the Holy Fire festival dedicated to her, and directly packed up and fled.

According to Hill, that Hearth Goddess ended up running away together with Poseidon... Hades, with his quick connections, fled no slower than Zeus, so he never even learned that their elder sister was abandoned as a burden.

The key is, Hestia was a staunch supporter of Zeus back in the day.

Think of it, Zeus even took the Goddess of Love with him when escaping, who would have thought he could abandon his own elder sister?

Of course, this also gave Poseidon a great excuse to thoroughly break ties with Mount Olympia... Naturally, Hestia’s presence helped Poseidon a great deal.

You see, in the ocean world, there’s no concept of flame.

But in the ocean world occupied by the Poseidon Pantheon, there are islands, native humans, and animals.

Though they are bloodthirsty barbarians.

Once Hestia, who governs the home’s affairs, appeared in that world, she set those primitive mortals on the right path.

No matter the world, once humans start eating cooked meals, understand cleanliness, and learn about farming and weaving, they will directly leap forward.

And the act of bringing the Hearth Goddess to that world allowed Poseidon to naturally gain recognition from the World Rules.

Hmm... Hill suddenly realized, those in the Greek Gods, who live relatively cleanly, seemed to fare quite well.

Even that fool Poseidon hasn’t managed to kill himself.

How can I put it... this guy merely aligns with the essence of the Greek Gods, but because his mind isn’t capable, even when he tries antics, he fails to do it right.

The sins he committed probably don’t have the devastating impact of Cupid.

That Little Prince of Love was never mentioned by anyone, probably destroyed early on.

And Hades... well, needless to say... that guy hid the Netherworld silently and there’s been no news ever since.

Though Hill guessed he directly fled to Styx.

Only in the world of Styx can Hades hide so tightly.

The one truly unfortunate is Zeus’s faction, along with Gaia... Of course, this outcome is because when Zeus escaped Hell, few Greek Deities could keep up behind him.

It figures, those Olympian Gods who only live well by pleasing Zeus weren’t very skillful.

When facing real big shots, they could do nothing but kneel.

The Hell of the past was surely a banquet... pity, the crucial ones escaped, otherwise, Asmodius might have recovered long ago.

This is also, inevitably, destiny’s test for Artemis who transitioned directly from Battle Angel to Lord of Hell?

Whether human or God, even the Devil, they must ultimately pay a price for their actions.

Therefore, the fate of every existence is composed by himself bit by bit... Every tributary of the river of destiny is just the minutiae of himself, not the river constructed by the Power of Destiny.

So, the reason Tai Ji ceased to exist was not just due to being schemed by AO... but also because she was overly confident, always trying to manipulate destiny.

All of this before her indeed aligns with a part of the future she dreamt of... But Hill believes that the most crucial part, the part related to her resurrection, may never come.

Unless she truly learns to respect others’ destinies and stops interfering.

Then, what about Hermes?

What has he sacrificed for this... Hill suddenly thought of the vanished, invisible head of Zeus.

To keep Zeus’s blood and flesh scattered across countless dimensional spaces alive, his head must not have any issues.

Therefore, there has to be a suitable, life-force filled space to house this head.

But in such dimensional space, regrowth from severed limbs should be a small matter, right?

Although prolonged and difficult, Zeus is sure to have a day of returning to normal... Even though some parts of his flesh and bones still exist, it will considerably slow down his resurrection.

Athena and the others left the upper part intentionally for a reason.

Like the shoulder area, although usually not seeming important, without it indeed doesn’t work.

For Zeus, just the recovery of this part is estimated to be counted in tens of thousands of years.

But... in contrast, there has to be something to keep Zeus, whose will isn’t very firm, motivated to live on.

Hermes, who is always the best at appeasing him, is such an existence.

Therefore, however long Zeus is trapped in that space, Hermes has to accompany him for just as long... This indeed meets the typical style of this Messenger.

He actually respects and loves Zeus greatly; even though Zeus once coveted his behind, he just laughed it off.

Anyway, with words, he can make Zeus change his mind... Only he can accomplish this.

That Zeus is worse than a stallion!

Don’t mention his efforts for a little son that will never appear... Apart from Apollo and Hermes, those beautiful Little Princes he brought down have never had any reproductive functions.

Apollo, said to be his most beloved son, had to pretend to be a single-minded fool to avoid him.

But Hermes could make Zeus give up just by talking.

Which one Zeus truly favors can actually be seen here... For him, Apollo is always a wary object.

Hermes is the one he can trust.

But this Messenger truly has made significant sacrifices for Zeus.

Like this time... The kind of Life Space will surely birth formidable flora and fauna, to protect Zeus’s head, Hermes also has to give his all.

That’s a purely enclosed space, can only enter, cannot exit... Maybe after Zeus recovers, with his Thunder Power penetrating everything he could break that space, but, Hermes’s nimble power surely can’t.

Tsk, Hermes even took away Zeus’s Hammer of the Thunder God.

No wonder Zeus lost so quickly... Though his inherent power was filled with evil aura, it was suppressed to the lowest by the Positive Energy of the Heavenly Mountain, coupled with being severely injured from attempting to escape Hell with Mount Olympia, that’s why he was easily taken down by Dimogogan.

But Zeus’s Hammer of the Thunder God remained strong.

However, everyone understands he won’t last long... Yet if directly defeated by Dimogogan, his hammer would surely become their trophy.

Still, Hill can confirm, Dimogogan didn’t take any of Zeus’s divine artifacts.

Hah~

This is indeed something Hermes could do.

Like the Thunder Power permeating Mount Olympia... If Zeus indeed dies completely, and the Hammer of the Thunder God falls into others’ hands, Mount Olympia would have to change owners.

That thing is the key to opening Mount Olympia.

To put it bluntly, Zeus himself didn’t have the ability to create such a powerful group Divine Kingdom.

That was the skill of Uranus.

However, Hermes wouldn’t want to endure the redemption path alongside Zeus for millions or even tens of millions of years, only to return home and find it stolen.

After all, Prometheus, the only one sure to remain in Mount Olympia, wouldn’t fall out with Uranus.

Don’t be fooled by Uranus’s cruelty and volatility, but if such a thing happened during his reign, he wouldn’t act like Zeus did.

Uranus was the true Sky deity, even fair to weak mortals, though also because he is too proud to even look down.

His eyes only focus on those strong enough to disrupt chaos.

In the Greek Gods System’s three generations of God Kings... although Uranus died most thoroughly, he had the chance for resurrection.

Cronos, however, was the one to die most completely.

Zeus... Zeus’s chance of resurrection is also slim but it still exists.

Hermes preserved this opportunity with everything he had.
