Surviving The Fourth Calamity

The Order Gods, for these hundreds of thousands of years, have committed quite a few sins on the Heavenly Mountain.

If it’s a relatively powerful God System, the reason they moved into the Heavenly Mountain is that they were invited to enter the plane that matches their attributes on the Heavenly Mountain.

The two sides complement each other, owing nothing to each other, so naturally, it feels like living on the Heavenly Mountain is acceptable.

However, some had to seek refuge in heaven due to their lack of strength and inability to withstand demon and devil invasions, and thus, it wasn’t so comfortable for them.

Although they integrated their domains into the Heavenly Mountain... But, handing over all external defenses to others, everyone knows the consequences.

The reason the Order Gods can continue to hold the great power of the Heavenly Mountain with a group of angels even less spiritual than the Teraxil Spirit... is basically due to the exploitation of these vassal-like God Systems.

If push comes to shove, they will just throw them out to die... after all, they can at least take the enemy down with them.

Thus, the Order Gods have enjoyed tens of thousands of years of happy and fulfilling times.

However, after Asmodier led the terrifying Demon Army and Devil Legion into the Heavenly Mountain, the evil fruits of their labor over these years finally emerged.

The former Heavenly Mountain, although there was some exploitation of subordinate God Systems, was only in terms of resources... like turning over a certain percentage of unique resources produced by the planes.

The God Systems being sheltered were naturally very willing to accept this.

Those who weren’t sheltered would also turn over a bit, showing their sincerity in abiding by the order of the Heavenly Mountain.

But the reason this peace could be maintained was because the Battle Angel Legion led by Asmodier kept all filth and evil outside the gates of the Heavenly Mountain.

Sometimes, when one lacks the ability and faces threats, paying protection fees is something many wouldn’t find too hard to accept.

But after paying the protection fees, one still has to step up in the face of danger... while those collecting the fees hide behind those paying, watching them walk to their deaths...

Such a thing, even fools wouldn’t do!

How many of the deities who managed to bring their remaining God Systems into the Heavenly Mountain are fools?

They just had no choice but to play dumb.

But all of this was built on the foundation that the Order Gods could continue to maintain their oppressive rule.

This time, Asmodier’s counter-attack was their greatest test.

Don’t look at the fierce resistance of the Greek Gods, it’s because they’ve confirmed that their gates are the main target of the Demon Prince.

Other God Systems, including the one once blessed by the Order Gods with the title ’God of Light’ after bravely venturing into the Six Fingers domain and causing a grand spectacle there, stayed within their territories, not taking a single step outside.

Apart from a few lost demons who couldn’t find their way and were casually obliterated by the surrounding Divine Kingdoms, other demons walked the main roads unhindered.

After all, everyone knows that demons and devils are here no more than for a tour of the Heavenly Mountain, occupying it is absolutely impossible.

The Heavenly Mountain, although lacking its own will, still has its instincts.

Long-term residence within its body will inevitably be repelled by the positive energy that fills it.

And as a powerful plane whose base color is not much different from the Abyss and Hell, it won’t easily be converted to another energy system.

Since there are no worries about the future, who would fight for the slave-master-like Order Gods?

Except for those angels who completely lack self-awareness.

Thus, the current Heavenly Mountain looks particularly absurd.

Even Shaer is constantly switching scenes, looking left and right at the absurdity... In some places, there are even deities sitting together, sipping little drinks, pointing at the demons and devils outside, clearly educating some new gods unfamiliar with the situation.

However, in other places, things are heating up... like at the gates of the Greek Gods, and on the main road, where angels keep charging down and perishing together with the invaders, exploding themselves to death.

”These angels do fit the old folks’ requirements.” Even as the scenes constantly switched, Celene still noticed those angels descending from the sky, directly detonating, ”Truly, willing to do whatever it takes for them, without any desires, not knowing how to vie for power for themselves... But it’s only in their recklessness that they are worth watching.

Heh~ even their attacks are formulaic, how could they possibly stand a chance against demons and devils who have survived blood wars?”

Celene couldn’t help but sigh: ”These children are truly a bit pitiful, not even knowing what they die for...”

Shaer let out a cold laugh: ”You just like these brainless but good-looking things.”

Hill felt no emotion for the death of these puppet-like angels... They were just robots created by the Order Gods using Life Spring Water.

Although they might not look exactly the same, the feeling they give is no different... the same expressions, the same actions, just robots with preset programs.

So far, at least hundreds of angels have exploded, yet Hill, who is relatively empathetic, feels nothing for their so-called heroic sacrifices.

On the other hand, Celene, although Hill doesn’t know where she’s hiding, must also be in some corner of the Heavenly Mountain... Otherwise, she wouldn’t say anything about pitying these angels.

Celene is someone guided by feelings.

Even if she had seen these angels before, without contact now, she wouldn’t feel anything for their deaths... She is the kind of person who would just watch when an acquaintance meets with an accident, a person without a heart.

However, if this unexpected person suddenly remembers to ask her for help, she might act personally because she senses a certain sincerity... But if it’s just said offhandedly, she’ll pretend not to hear.

Just as if she hadn’t seen anything at all.

So, if you hear her suddenly say something empathetic... don’t doubt it, she must be present.

As Shaer says, Celene easily takes a liking to such pure beings with empty minds.

Just like the ones she’s willing to accept, the beastified people who kill mercilessly but have no idea what they’ve done upon waking.

”So, Cyric, what are you exchanging with that little Sun God?” Shaer moved her finger, freezing the scene again at the heated gates of the Greek Gods.

Hill chose to stay silent this time.

He is one of The Wise Ones.

After he discovered Cyric’s interaction with Apollo, Shaer began shifting the giant screen to distract Celene’s attention... clearly, there was something Shaer knew but didn’t want Celene to know.

Though brief, it’s likely that whatever Shaer wanted to conceal has already concluded.

Originally, Hill thought Cyric’s actions were influenced by AO again... but Shaer’s behavior didn’t quite match.

He and Apollo actually have a connection?

This even allows the Prince of Lies to temporarily abandon other matters to first assist Apollo.

”Eh?” Celene suddenly pointed at Cyric, ”Is he planning to take action?

Against whom?”

Cyric suddenly stood up: ”Dimogogan, move away!”

Hill stood up in surprise... How could Apollo’s target be...

”Damn it!” Athena, wielding her Tower Shield, was knocked onto the swirling entrance of Mount Olympia by a horrific black flame.

”What are you waiting for, Dimogogan!” Cyric shouted loudly, ”Do you plan to wait until she recovers?

Don’t tell me your target is to eliminate Athena!”

”Who are you? To dare control me!” Dimogogan roared angrily.

But, he is after all the Demon Prince most obedient to the Abyssal Will.

Despite his dissatisfaction with Cyric’s commanding tone, Dimogogan seized the moment when the vortex suddenly stopped and his massive body charged towards the gate, with a huge axe appearing in his hand.

The giant axe in his hand is an evil entity that even the Star Spirits dare not touch casually, a powerful weapon bestowed by the Abyssal Will.

The doors influenced by Cyric’s spell could not withstand such a strike.

If it weren’t for this axe, which even Dimogogan wouldn’t dare use easily, Athena wouldn’t have held out until now... Dimogogan had no interest in paying such a huge price when dealing with these ordinary enemies.

After all, in Heavenly Mountain, he couldn’t freely replenish the evil energy needed for the axe.

”Artemis!” Apollo’s voice also rang out, ”Quickly, take Athena away from there!”

Athena fell in a cleverly chosen spot, very close to Artemis, without blocking Dimogogan’s attack route.

Even the Great Demons following Dimogogan in the charge were somewhat distant from this spot.

Hill didn’t know if those over in Heavenly Mountain noticed, but he saw it very clearly.

”Cyric’s aim is truly remarkable!” Even Celene understood... this guy, when it comes to matters related to combat, won’t make mistakes.

”Zeus is doomed!” Celene suddenly exclaimed joyfully, ”If that guy dies, can I take these siblings to my place?”

”Apollo is the Sun God.” Shaer replied calmly, ”How can you let him stop by icy Celene?”

Hill still remembered the moon Celene he had seen... And didn’t know how many of those residents, led to indulgence and with abnormally terrible behavior by the Mist Goddess, were still alive.

After all, although the Silvermoon Maiden wouldn’t actively kill, she would definitely cleanse her habitat when she returned to her Divine Kingdom.

Given her usual style... those evil breaths all need to be cleaned as if they were garbage.

She will surely throw those beings out of Celene.

Whether they survive depends on their ability to walk freely in the Stellar Realm.

”My Celene isn’t cold at all!” Celene was displeased, ”Are you talking nonsense?

Is there a place colder than your Shadow Realm?”
