Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Although Lansendel wanted to ponder more about Teraxil’s God of Time and Space, Shaer, who had already paid, had no intentions of giving him time.

With a slight movement of her fingers, several long shadow tentacles lashed out in the air, flinging the massive peacock towards the Dimensional Gate surrounded by the Demon Army.

The golden peacock barely uttered a cry before countless black-gray rays, accompanied by countless blades and spears, charged at him.

Shaer let out a cold laugh.

Did Lansendel really think she was behaving too much like a good person lately?

To dare play such a game with her!

Even that little Hill she appreciated so much wouldn’t dare talk to her like this!

Although... a trace of confusion appeared on the indifferent face of the Lady of the Night... she didn’t even know if she would still want to kill him if it had been Hill instead.

Shaer’s icy heart wouldn’t thaw just because a William suddenly moved in.

She just found a balance between herself and William... and where Hill stood was usually on that balance point.

Therefore, Shaer would show her best side around Hill.

But Celene... she always exhibited her worst side around familiar faces.

This was something Shaer could never understand: why insist that family and friends tolerate her faults.

And then go out and shine for the world?

Shaer knew this kind of thinking was not suitable... although William rarely mentioned these things, he clearly thought her demands were too high.

In William’s view, even sisters have no right to demand the other sacrifice something for her.

Even though that guy is very good to her, on matters of principle, he would still speak up, even if infrequently.

Shaer sneered coldly.

Perhaps, between herself and Celene, they are both at fault, both selfish... but, why should she be the one who has to be understanding?

Why couldn’t Celene come over to her side?

Just because she represents evil?

Ha~ then let them each take their own path, allowing her to forever be the embodiment of evil!

Shaer was very clear that she could never become what is conventionally considered a good person, nor could she ever believe that William’s approach was the right one.

What she could do for her lover was to be as honest as possible about her heart in front of William and not to obstruct his justice and fairness.

At least, she would not make William feel that he could reform her, turning her from the evil Lady of the Dark Night into the benevolent Lady of the Night.

Repent from evil and embrace good?

Ridiculous.

Darkness is her true nature.

Fortunately, William never thought she needed reform... although William said it’s because he’s selfish enough to never project his emotions outside his circle.

Shaer, on the other hand, thought William considered this inward focus as selfishness, a bit, underestimating himself too much.

Her lover is great in every way, except that he overestimates this universe.

A disheveled Lansendel struggled through the Dimensional Gate.

Although he wasn’t really hurt, he lost a lot of feathers!

Those were the Lord of Dawn’s feathers!

Even though they wouldn’t get picked up by filthy things once on the ground and could even burn a few demons by the way, but... he didn’t come to slay monsters!

Why should his feathers be plucked!

Damned Shaer, does such a trivial matter require taking his life as repayment!

An annoyed Lansendel instantly transformed into sunlight.

Hmm?

The great peacock tilted its head puzzled... why was his entrance so easy too?

Not that he couldn’t enter.

After all, demons and devils could rush in too.

But, the ease with which he turned into light was a bit too effortless.

As an enemy with a tangible existence, compared to being an enemy existing as formless and intangible light... although he didn’t have intentions of killing anyone, at least he wasn’t coming in with good intentions... there’s a big difference.

In the lower levels of Heavenly Mountain, in the Divine Kingdoms controlled by those Toril Deities, Lansendel would not have been able to play so easily.

He initially thought Celene was an exception~

Though speaking unpleasant words, Lansendel still understood that Celene, as Primordial Light, was indeed a bit more pure in essence compared to their kind who arrived later.

Therefore, he always knew that as long as Toril existed, Shaer and Celene would never be completely extinguished.

Lansendel blended, somewhat lost, into the blue sky and white clouds above, quietly searching for Celene’s essence... although this guy had undoubtedly followed, she would definitely not assist in opening the grand screen.

Even though Celene’s display wasn’t as apparent, Lansendel could still sense the Silvermoon Maiden’s hostility towards William.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t appear so... chaotic in front of Hill.

When on that floating castle in Toril, though Selene was also a mess, she wasn’t this sharp.

Lansendel had some suspicion whether Shaer had done something with that William, making her aura not as purely dark as before.

So, while he was there, he only dared to chat with Hill about trivial matters.

He was really holding it in hard!

That sentence was already at the tip of his tongue, but he still didn’t dare to say it... Between the twin goddesses, there was indeed a kind of telepathic understanding.

The current deities didn’t know about this, but Lansendel, who witnessed their century-long battle, was very clear... Why did they tear out so many gods?

Wasn’t it just because even their attack strength and angles were almost the same!

Clashing repeatedly and simultaneously smashing into a big flower split, not everyone could do that.

Though it’s a little lacking now, the tacit understanding built over the past few hundred thousand years still made them very well aware of each other.

Although saying this might be a bit funny, up until this time, both Shaer and Selene were quite familiar with each other.

However, Shaer’s aura had changed.

Though Lansendel couldn’t quite detect the difference, he could clearly see that Selene had noticed something.

As a result, that Silvermoon Maiden had been quite displeased, even taking it out on Hill... That child is really easy to understand, even Lansendel knew what kind of words would make him displeased.

Of course, they had to be the truth.

Hill’s overly pure heart made the natural force shrouding him extremely powerful... and Lansendel, having dealt with the Toril Natural God System, felt that only the Father of the Forest’s natural aura could surpass that of Hill’s, but his was not as pure as Hill’s.

Therefore, Lansendel could understand Hill having the ability to discern right from wrong.

Hill would never produce any evil druids.

If he felt someone was harming nature, he would simply choose to stop it himself, even executing those malicious beings without hesitation... regardless of who they were.

And he wouldn’t do anything disgusting as a display of nature’s wrath.

Nature’s wrath means those who are meant to die should die!

Why take it out on mortals!

Lansendel didn’t think Hill would do anything to upset Selene... so, that Silvermoon Maiden was deliberately trying to vex Hill.

It’s really easy; the Toril Gods just have to expose their dark side to Hill, and that child will guarantee a numb expression.

How many deities like him, who always stand on the side of light, exist?

Even Tyr sometimes couldn’t control his emotions... good people~are reasonable, even if they can make reason clear with fists, there will always be someone who thinks as long as there’s reason, the beating won’t be too severe, maybe even succeed in stabbing.

Always getting beaten inexplicably, even if Tyr could win, he wouldn’t be happy about it.

Ha~ Lansendel usually avenges on the spot, not even bothering to consider who was right or wrong when the war starts... and never considering the cause and effect.

Even if he couldn’t take revenge immediately, he would make the other person’s head swell like a cow, constantly keeping them on edge.

Including AO, who dares to really dismiss Lansendel, easily plotting him into their schemes?

So, Lansendel has never consumed himself internally.

Amanata nearly succeeded because there was Tai Ji’s contribution in it.

Otherwise, that guy might not have dared to act so boldly.

Everyone knew, if it could be confirmed that Tai Ji was involved, Lansendel, even if furious, would listen to an explanation more or less.

And even if he didn’t want to accept that explanation, he wouldn’t take action against the related parties.

To the Great Peacock, Selene’s peculiar behavior might be because Shaer’s love story influenced her somehow?

Lansendel’s bird face couldn’t help showing a hint of curiosity... he really wanted to know, but he also really didn’t dare to ask.

Though a bit cowardly, he still didn’t want to become an irreconcilable enemy with Selene.

After all, if Shaer attacked him, there’s always some gain in it, generally, it could still be avoided.

Yet, if Selene bites, well... dealing with her would be harder than dealing with a snapping turtle.

Ah~ found it, really can hide.

Selene could still assimilate into this plane more easily than him... Lansendel suddenly had the feeling that if an Orderly Good Light God was here, they wouldn’t be so adapting.

After all, compared to Selene, he still had some orders he was willing to adhere to.

Therefore, he could understand what happened... the top layer of the Heavenly Mountain originally had its own order.

But the order the God of Order wanted was entirely different from an order stemming from a purely positive energy perspective.

Thus, these God of Order distorted this order... of course, to put it nicely, it was called ’modification’.

Unfortunately, it wasn’t correction, but distortion.

The Heavenly Mountain had no choice but to accept this modification, but it would certainly feel awkward.

Therefore, Selene’s twist of chaotic good seamlessly blended into this plane’s awkwardness line.

Truly interesting.

Lansendel lightly landed beside Selene, looking towards where Rose was... That big spider was skillfully weaving a more complex web near a shadowy pool.
