Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Though Hill tried his best to control his thoughts, Shaer was also using her own methods to distract Celene.

But the Silvermoon Maiden is always the Silvermoon Maiden.

Relying on her intuition, she can hold her own against Shaer.

So, even though Lansendel chose to remain silent, she, who never had a close relationship with Teraxil, still spoke with a cheerful smile: ”When it comes to space-time power, it’s Teraxil’s fellow who is the most formidable!

AO himself said he can’t compare to the Master of Time and Space in this regard.

Eh? Right? Shaer,

you should remember the old man’s evaluation, don’t you?

If not, how else could you allow that William to recognize another deity as his boss!”

Shaer’s eyes narrowed slightly: ”What nonsense are you spouting?

The God of Time and Space is practically William’s father!”

”Uhm... as for the father god thing, if it weren’t for Coron or our old man’s skill... look at that up there, isn’t that a father god too?” Celene argued with conviction.

”Even if you bring up the old man, your comparison is too insulting.” Shaer took a deep breath, speaking with a serious tone, ”Moreover, you are even insulting yourself!

Do you even know what you’re talking about?”

Celene fell silent, realizing belatedly... the only two descendants the old man had were herself and Shaer.

Then this fellow had an epiphany: ”Right, isn’t Teraxil’s God of Time and Space also connected to the Greek Gods?

He’s quite adept at creating Strange Objects, hmm... right!

Such powerful spatial artifacts can instantly retreat all flesh into a Dimensional Space that maintains their vitality... Who else could accomplish that besides him?

I can’t believe they have anyone in the Greek Gods with that capability!

They can’t even bring the people they fancy into the Divine Kingdom~”

”That’s because they have only one shared Divine Kingdom, Mount Olympia.” Hill couldn’t help but explain for the greatly disdained Greek Gods, ”They all share the same bloodline, the first two to create a god system, one embodying the sky, and the other embodying the earth.

Then, between the sky and the earth, rose their Mount Olympia... So, the descendants who came later were blocked from the path of deities and can only depend on this pair of parents to survive.

Because the parents themselves fell out, the later ones could ascend.

Can’t say they’re incompetent, just that...”

”The box world is truly hard to endure.” Lansendel spoke with a smile, ”Celene, you still don’t understand, that kind of box world is sealed.

The key is solely held by that sky deity... Without the key, the deities can’t go out, can’t see the outside world.

Even the weakest planet’s deities know there’s more beyond the sky... How can this be the same?

Look, those who actually stepped out of that box, whether it’s Zeus or entities like Gaia, all faced backlash?”

”Then why did Teraxil, Master of Time and Space, choose to help them?” Celene was like a clam that wouldn’t let go once clamped on, completely unaffected by the attempt to divert attention.

Hill couldn’t help but feel a bit wistful: The Silvermoon Maiden’s single-minded intuition is truly strong... once activated, it never changes.

If it were her old self, Shaer and Lansendel’s cooperation would have long shifted her attention elsewhere.

Shaer remained silent.

Lansendel was rather straightforward: ”How would I know? I just like playing with the Undead Tribe, and have no particular association with that William.”

”Don’t you have a contact group on that Temporal Artifact?” Celene pressed, dissatisfied.

Hill blinked... Hmm, it seems he should check what special language the Undead Tribe brought to this Multiverse.

Clearly, he was always cautious with every word he said, yet the Silvermoon Maiden opened a group chat for all to hear.

But Celene would rather pursue Lansendel, who seems less clear on the matter, than ask Shaer, who likely knows a thing or two... although not easy, after so much time getting head-on hammered and deadly hunted by Shaer, Celene seems to have written a bit into her own head.

This slight improvement is probably why Shaer can barely accept Celene’s presence beside her.

Moreover, Celene also didn’t come to ask Hill.

Hill quietly sighed... You see, every time he feels this fellow is unworthy of association, she seems to have a bit of kindness and humanity.

Celene’s judgment on certain matters is clearly still influenced by Toril, so while she may ask questions Hill finds tricky to answer, she won’t ask him about other god systems.

For someone used to witnessing god system conflicts, even if Hill knows, with his status and position, he can’t speak of the unfortunate matters of neighboring god systems.

In contrast, regarding matters of Toril, Hill can speak freely... After all, Hill still has relatives in Teraxil.

What Hill does in Toril won’t affect Teraxil over there.

But if he says or does anything detrimental to the deities of the same world, it is very likely that he will never be able to return home.

For Celene, who is deeply attached to her homeland and rarely looks beyond Toril, this is an extremely painful matter!

So, she can empathize.

Then, she would compassionately bypass Hill to find trouble with Lansendel.

This behavior forces Hill to admit that her kindness is indeed true kindness.

This is what is meant by the moonlight having a pure and gentle side, isn’t it?

Hill thought about it repeatedly, and he only felt one thing... Fortunately, this isn’t Teraxil’s moon.

Otherwise, dealing with such an existence would be too painful!

She’s neither truly evil nor truly good... yet she’s everywhere!

Shaer suddenly spoke: ”Just a gift.”

”What? Shaer, you...” Celene turned her head in surprise... Shaer was actually willing to disclose secret information about an existence related to her?

”William said, this isn’t much of a secret.” Shaer said slowly, ”It’s just that their God System, at the very beginning, indeed had some connections with the Greek Gods.

Although the other party didn’t have any good intentions, the Master of Time and Space could reach where he is today due to the existence of the first sky deity of the Greek Gods, Uranus.

Especially since, for some reason, the Master of Time and Space had to use his name that has been in use for thousands of years.

So, when Hermes came knocking, the God of Time and Space decided to use this thing to change his name back.”

”Hmm?” Hill questioned in surprise, ”Cronos... is completely gone?”

”When Asmodeus devoured that new body of his, Uranus used some methods to reclaim everything he had given Cronos.” Shaer pondered, ”Although there might still be some so-called spirituality, even if Cronos is reborn, he can never be the original him.”

”No wonder Gaia would team up with the Bottomless Abyss...” Hill suddenly understood, ”Since the only son she wishes to save can never return, then... there’s naturally no need for the culprit who brought Cronos to this day to exist anymore.

However, I thought she would hate Uranus more.”

”She indeed hates Uranus.” Shaer said calmly, ”That’s why she would fully immerse herself in the Chaos Sea, even willing to become an island in that ocean, you understand what I’m saying, right?”

Hill nodded awkwardly: Gaia, this Earth Mother Goddess, although she has already lost her earth’s essence, if she transforms into an island, it’s still possible.

Moreover, this island would definitely be full of vitality... the kind that promotes fertility.

The toads in the Chaos Sea most desire endless little toads.

Therefore, Gaia indeed can use this ability to establish her presence in the Chaos Sea.

It’s just a bit disgusting.

But thinking of Gaia’s usual ways... as long as she remains at a disadvantage, she absolutely won’t despise the other’s ugliness and disgust.

As for whether Gaia can have the capability to create another existence like Typhon to support her, making him only desire her maternal love, that’s another matter entirely.

Hill doesn’t really think she can do it again.

After all, the two main power-holding toads of the Chaos Sea, one plays with the Undead, and the other is simply female.

Those others, who seem glamorous, engaging in various schemes across major universes, when they return to the Chaos Sea, can only act obediently.

But, so that Gaia can firmly become her fertile island, those toads, especially the frenzied lord Sendam, who is obsessed with spawning toads to cover the entire Multiverse, might be willing to help her hunt down Uranus.

Then, it’s no wonder the Master of Time and Space is willing to cooperate with Hermes, aiming to sever the causality with the Greek Gods.

Although Uranus’s intentions were impure, the Master of Time and Space cannot deny that his becoming the current Cronos was due to Uranus’s casual gesture.

Moreover, the God of Time and Space knows that a portion of Uranus’s soul could likely be in those worlds outside Teraxil occupied by devils... after all, it was once a part of his soul, he can’t possibly not feel it.

This is the most disgusting trouble... the other party indeed helped you in order to set a trap, only because of your resolute determination and never giving up they failed.

Then, can this favor be counted as a favor?

It surely cannot be counted.

But if the other party shamelessly seeks you out, even if it’s disgusting, those causality threads are still there.

After all, causality only counts the result.

Compared to Uranus, who comes seeking rescue, the presence of Hermes is much more endearing... even during the moment this guy appeared, the God of Time and Space probably can understand who taught Uranus to play this trick.

Choosing the lesser of two evils.

Compared to harmful waste, recyclable waste is still worth a touch.
