Surviving The Fourth Calamity

However, Hill could understand why no one thought the Queen of Chaos would avoid falling into this trap.

As the creator of Dimogogan, one can clearly see the attributes of this character who resembles the Cthulhu prototype: extreme chaos and the instinct to act without thinking.

She wants it, she must have it.

The reason for not getting it is not anything else, but her subordinates are too incompetent... Of course, as the leader, she just picked the wrong people, not that she did anything wrong.

Any flaw found in the Evil God of Chaos can be reflected in this Mother of Squid.

Despite being the Lord of the Abyss back then, it was actually Miska who truly managed everything.

He was truly amazing.

To some extent, he indeed resembled Lv Bu... although not very smart, his military talents were exceedingly high, with combat strength being the pinnacle of the Multiverse.

But he wouldn’t consider whether a certain military action was worthwhile... once the Queen of Chaos pointed out the direction, he just charged ahead without any further thought.

Normally, such reckless and brainless individuals would lead their armies into chaos, but he somehow understood battle strategies very well.

Even demons, those mindless creatures who never heed orders, could be easily controlled by him.

If in Hill’s previous world such a figure were merely background material, he could understand... after all, once mounted on the wall, there was never any intention to revive him as the big boss, so it was fine to praise him or set flaws.

But, this is the real world.

When Hill was researching the Abyss, he really found a lot of materials related to this giant spider... if he wasn’t mistaken, even the stories slightly toned down Miska’s combat abilities.

After all, those who could commit narratives to paper are either deities or mages.

Though some deities are unwilling to lie, they won’t go into much detail.

It’s mostly written with the Spring and Autumn style, glossing over facts.

Defeating in battles is one thing, but being collapsed by a single move and frantically calling for help is another.

And so-called flaws, in the face of overwhelming strength, are trivial.

Miska would be sealed entirely because of his teammates and the opposing side working together... coupled with a brainless wife who easily fell into traps.

Thus, even in blood battles consistently at a disadvantage in the Bottomless Abyss, no one would think of fishing this character out... having nearly no benefits is better than having none at all.

So, while using Miska as a bait to lure the Queen of Chaos, don’t be fooled by her stupidity. Her combat ability is still multiple times stronger than several Dimogogans.

To hold off all the Gods of Order, it’s not merely the advantage of numbers needed.

There must be a sense of urgency that if they aren’t fully concentrated, they might accidentally overturn.

But, this group of fellows intended for her not to leave satisfied.

The easiest way is to have the Queen of Chaos carry that gemstone from the Stellar Realm back to the Bottomless Abyss.

Which implies... the Dimensional Gate at the Heavenly Mountain entrance not only has to explode but explode spectacularly.

Otherwise, why couldn’t the Queen of Chaos just open a gate herself after leaving the seals at the Heavenly Mountain?

”Ugh~ what a hassle.” Hill could imagine it, and naturally, the Lady of the Night had no problem too.

Shaer suddenly complained with irritation.

On the huge screen still displaying the Queen of Chaos leading the Demon Army frenetically assaulting the defense ring of the Gods of Order, there was a sudden movement.

Hill couldn’t help but glance at Shaer.

Judging from the current angle of the big screen, Shaer seemed to have hung the shadow camera on a thread of the spider web located between the Dimensional Gate and the conference hall.

Even though he knew Rose’s spider silk was actually made of Shadow Force.

But Shaer could directly usurp control from Rose?

”Don’t look at me like that, little Hill.” Shaer’s vivid red lips moved slightly, obviously smiling, ”Rose is still quite powerful, so her shadow spider silk, I can only use a bit of it.

Well... with her current abilities, I can only manipulate upto three strands.”

Hill took a deep breath: three strands, enough to render a spider web useless.

What confidence does Rose have to dare confront Shaer!

Indeed, it seems this character always suddenly becomes greedy at the cost of losing her rationality.

Hill had to think of the Spider Queen from Aesces, who was quite polite to the Undead Tribe and him... after realizing she couldn’t suppress Shaer, she chose to completely yield, right?

Hill just felt that Rose in that world was a bit uncharacteristic of herself.

Ever since crawling back to the divine position from the spider demon, this Spider Queen actually cared a lot about her status.

Meaning, while she might be shameless, not fearing you to know her shamelessness... you must still behave respectfully in front of her.

No matter how many trivial things are on your mind, don’t let her find out.

Of course, this approach targets only entities weaker than her.

However, the Undead Tribe is not within her tolerance range.

Hill has always been a little suspicious of Rose’s unexpected tolerance... but he still trusts William’s judgment quite a bit.

Since William didn’t interfere with the interaction between the Undead Tribe and Rose, he should act as if he saw nothing.

Of course, he slightly hinted when communicating with ’Snow Cloud Peak’ and them.

Hill believes William surely can understand.

So, in the end, he said nothing, allowing Rose to chat casually in the desert with the Undead Tribe every day.

It seems William and Shaer... hmm... know what they’re doing.

Thinking of this, Hill looked up in astonishment at the crystal spider on the giant screen... she even admitted cowardice to Shaer, yet she’s there spewing nonsense to Asmodeus?

If the Lord of Hell truly believes in her irreconcilable hatred with Shaer and wants to use it for some schemes, then the fun will be immense.

You know, Asmodeus originally doesn’t have good luck.

Even within the evil faction that generally lacks luck, Asmodeus is the most prone to disaster... while others may face disappointment nine times out of ten, he faces it nine-point-nine times out of ten.

Therefore, when plotting some scheme, he always strives for one hundred percent success... even ninety-nine point ninety-nine percent might lead to unexpected disasters, it’s just him.

Isn’t this world just precedent?

Although Glaysia indeed messed things up... yet truth be told, without Lansendel’s presence, allowing the Lord of Dawn to directly charge ahead, with Celene’s usual temperament, she most likely would directly dismiss what Glaysia concocted.

It wasn’t happening on Toril, she actually wouldn’t care much about outsiders playing summon Moon Goddess games on other worlds.

Even if she witnessed Glaysia’s annoying tactics firsthand and was indeed very dissatisfied... before regaining her mighty divine power, Celene likely wouldn’t act on it.

If that guy endured at the time, he might just forget about it altogether.

But, Lansendel swaggered in.

Then, all past grievances naturally resurfaced in Celene’s mind.

Frankly speaking... it’s still on Asmodeus.

He thought Glaysia’s annoying tactics wouldn’t cause any major problems, but he himself opened the largest breach, thereby escalating Glaysia’s trivial matters.

Hill took a deep breath... oh, right, Rose is an Abyssal Lord!

It’s only natural she’d dig pits for the Lord of Hell!

Though the Spider Queen doesn’t crave the Abyssal Will’s favor like other Abyssal Lords... as a Great Demon converted by Coron using external forces, she’s actually not easily getting responses from the Abyss.

Coron isn’t foolish, he knows how mischievous his wife is, for sure!

Though he didn’t anticipate Rose to go that far, he couldn’t be unaware that in the Bottomless Abyss, Rose could effortlessly sweep demons slightly stronger than her with her intelligence.

Coron just wishes Rose won’t die, so even when converting her to a demon, transformed her into a spider type with great combat power... the same kind as the wolf spider Miska.

Yet, he wouldn’t want Rose to become so powerful as to threaten their Elf Deity System again.

Thus, the demon form he converted has flaws.

That is, the Abyssal Will, not very clear in mind, finds it hard to pay attention to Rose’s existence, and would always view Rose as a tenant in the Abyss.

Hence, once Rose confirms this, she immediately abandons the road of becoming a Demon Lord, returning to the divine path... this way, the Abyss instead finds her agreeable.

After all, it’s a tenant applying for Abyssal citizenship, albeit a second-class citizen, it’s still considered part of the household.

This is why Rose only cooperates with Abyssal Will on major matters.

Only at these times can she receive the same rewards as other Demon Lords.

At other times, only when pulling new Planes into her spider web does the Abyss grant her normal benefits.

And sacrificing flesh is the least cost-effective activity for her.

Yet, the value of tricking the Lord of Hell, even just interfering a bit, would suffice for Rose to stand ahead of Dimogogan!

Hill couldn’t help but press his forehead, then pinched his temples... after experiencing so much today, why isn’t the head itching a bit?

”Shaer, you plan on leaving Heavenly Mountain?” Celene’s inquiry interrupted Hill’s self-pity.

”Why do you always ask questions you already know the answer to?” Shaer asked leisurely, ”I can’t enter that top level, why stay here risking spatial instability?”

”With that God of Time and Space around, even the most chaotic space poses no threat to you, right?” Celene asked with a smile.

Shaer turned to look at her: ”What are you trying to test?

I can tell you, the God of Time and Space indeed accepted my relationship with William, but he never intended to bring me under his faction.

I, will always be Shaer of Toril.

But you, Ambori’s seaweed grew into your brain?”
