Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 875: Chapter 671: Neighbors Coming One After Another

The unnamed Blue Dragon flew in mid-air, striving to whip up a flurry of dust into the Green Forest with its wings, seemingly trying to affect the Water Mist.

But such attacks couldn’t affect the Puzzle Lock.

Hill sighed in boredom; for him, Blue Dragons were the easiest to deal with.

However, the Blue Dragon, unaware of Hill’s sigh, flew back up, spiraling down once more: the descending airflow created a sky-covering dust storm.

This sandstorm, harnessed by the Force of Nature, was indeed formidable; it seemed the sky turned into a black curtain.

Yet Hill merely watched the agilely maneuvering Blue Dragon in the dust: it suddenly tucked in its wings, making a sharp 180-degree turn, launching a direct assault from behind the large tree where Hill was hiding.

In a flash, Hill leaped and inwardly praised the clever and cunning Ancient Blue Dragon.

It was truly unexpected for such a massive creature to employ such tactics.

Then, during the descent, Hill deftly twisted his knee, pressing down on the Blue Dragon’s neck.

With his right fist, he swiftly struck the back of its head.

As Hill knocked out the Blue Dragon, a phrase flickered in his mind: In the past, Wu Song fought tigers; now, Hill strikes dragons.

The Blue Dragon’s tactics were quite excellent, but its intel was flawed; no matter how big the sandstorm, it was no different from a bright day to Hill.

Choosing a spot where he wouldn’t be sprayed by Dragon Blood, Hill quickly broke the Blue Dragon’s neck with two punches and picked up several items that fell from her, pulling off the pendant hanging around her neck.

Then he leaped swiftly, shifting among several large trees, finally stopping atop an oak tree.

A White Dragon silently but swiftly shattered the large tree ahead, charging directly towards the Dragon’s corpse.

Though the White Dragon seemed quite powerful, crashing through several large trees, Hill guessed the dragon’s horns must hurt quite a bit.

The Blue Dragon likely only told her the time for the ambush but didn’t warn her to detour when there were many trees.

The hiding spot arranged by the Blue Dragon was indeed good, nestled between the Puzzle Lock and a small cliff on the mountain, a visual dead angle, but Hill paid attention to that place too.

Hill wondered whether the White Dragon found the scent of Lily of the Valley pleasant?

Upon hearing she’d sniffed for a while, she seemed quite at ease.

Unfortunately, she was 30 seconds late; her ally already lay dead on the ground with a crooked neck.

Seeing this White Dragon, Hill finally identified the origins of the two: those on the side of the World’s Ridge near Luskan, only the Chromatic Dragons there habitually used White Dragons as enforcers.

The Blue Dragon should be Emulys, the one mining with many Goblins on the riverbank highland between the World’s Ridge and Mirra. The White Dragon... Hill frowned, uncertain.

It appeared not very intelligent, likely just an adolescent White Dragon, unsure of how it ended up as the Blue Dragon’s lackey.

Hill watched the White Dragon standing dazed beside the Blue Dragon, waiting silently.

If he easily killed both Dragons, no others would come seeking death.

Hill leaned against the branch, hesitating whether to kill decisively to set an example or leave an opening to entice more Dragons.

But for this White Dragon, Hill really had no desire to act.

Hill speculated who might come next.

Black Dragons were out of the question; though Hill always wanted to slay one, they were unlikely to cause trouble.

They excelled in water ambushes, but in the Sword Gulf, it was impossible; Agleya’s Temple, still responsive post-cataclysm, ensured that.

Black Dragons weren’t foolish; Water Element creatures of the Evil Faction avoided Agleya City.

Taking advantage of the magical system’s collapse, they could enjoy plundering elsewhere without crashing into Mithril Plates!

Moreover, higher-level Black Dragons were often Necromancers or even turned into Dragon Liches, unwilling to venture out. Even though Metal Dragons and Gem Dragons turned a blind eye to Chromatic Dragons attacking Hill’s Domain, Dragon Liches... would be hunted if they dared emerge.

Most Dragon Liches were associated with the Dragon Worship Church; after the Dragon Madness incident that decimated countless Metal and Gem Dragons, they were killed on sight, no mercy for those skeletal frameworks.

Once today passes, most dragons likely won’t consider attacking Agleya City.

Only those two dragons, lingering a kilometer from the Green Forest...

Hill had been observing for a while and was almost certain the two spying yet hostile toward each other were the Ancient Green Dragon Claujeliatmata from Deepwater City and the Ancient Red Dragon Klaus.

The hatred between these two dragons ran deep; though they both coveted Hill’s Domain, neither dared make the first move.

Otherwise, who knows which would retaliate first.

So they arrived early but let the Blue Dragon act first, confident they could take down the mature female Blue Dragon and rob after her success.

The plan was well conceived, but the Blue Dragon perished, and quickly.

They didn’t even fathom what happened before it was over, returning to square one.

Hill watched those two dragons’ movements, hoping this not very intelligent White Dragon... could inspire them to act.

Especially Claujeliatmata, residing just northwest of Deepwater City, she was far too close to Agleya City. In the past, she was considered docile, but now that she’s shown hostility towards Agleya, Hill really didn’t want to let her go.

As for Klaus... he’s always been greedy and cunning, and would dare to make a move anywhere, on anyone, as long as the opportunity presented itself.

No, he prefers robbing dragons, earning a bad reputation among all types of dragons.

Moreover, it’s difficult to kill a dragon like Klaus, an ancient red dragon.

Hill looked anxiously at his own fist, thinking that when this red dragon comes, the force might be hard to control. He would definitely have to go all out!

The speed must be quick, and it might get bloody again.

But first... there must be an opportunity.

No matter who he’s dealing with, this dragon would observe for a long time and could fly away swiftly at any moment.

Hill couldn’t help but sigh. To deal with these two dragons, he’d still have to rely on ambushes.

He couldn’t fly now... He couldn’t possibly chase them on the ground, could he?

He didn’t have that kind of courage, nor did he have that much free time.

Hill silently waited for a long time, even as that white dragon flew away whimpering, making no move.

Unfortunately, those two dragons survived this long precisely due to being cautious enough, with neither intending to strike first.

After a subtle stalemate, hostility towards one another even grew.

Claujeliatmata was still a bit weaker, unable to hold on, and eventually fled.

Hill clenched his fist: At least one should come down, right? Otherwise, letting that white dragon go would have been a wasted opportunity?

However, Klaus flapped his wings, ascending directly to the sky, circling several times in mid-air, and Hill could even hear the exclamations of the refugees on the left.

Then the giant red dragon flew directly north in the sunlight.

He didn’t even intend to go to Deepwater City... Klaus seemed to have a specific destination in mind.

Hill scratched his head: Is this guy going to inherit the lair of the deceased Emulys? That’s a gemstone mine.

Compared to a life-and-death battle with Hill, it seemed Klaus would rather choose the easy money.

Looks like the white dragon he let go would still have to die.

Klaus and that famously renowned white dragon, Elvia Tulais from the Ice Plain, were mortal enemies; seeing a white dragon, he would always kill on sight, never letting one go.

Hill pondered for a moment, then moved from his position to a large tree on the northeast side.

He sat rather bored on a tree branch and noticed that the conflict with the blue dragon gnome from the Agleya City side seemed to be over, as Lynn appeared to be organizing forces to head this way.

Then he gradually lifted his head: Claujeliatmata had stealthily returned, slowly moving towards here along the mountain’s edge.

No one knows what strange object she used, but such a massive body moved silently, almost walking in the mountain’s shadow.

Hill blinked lightly; it seemed this ancient green dragon also somehow saw Hill’s position.

Just when Klaus was circling, he deliberately moved above his head, even if he gave up dealing with Hill and chose the easier mine, he still didn’t want Claujeliatmata to gain any benefit.

The blue dragon could also see through the mist to locate Hill, it seemed this time all three dragons brought various strange objects targeting the mist.

Hill couldn’t help but slowly move his right hand, gently clenching his fist.

Lynn and the others were making more and more obvious moves; first, the blue dragon, then Klaus, didn’t even need to search for Hill’s position.

Hill moved his body, as Claujeliatmata seemed to have found the right position, crouching and ready.

He jumped off the big tree, turning to head towards Lynn’s direction.

Then suddenly leaped straight forward, grabbing a hanging vine, swinging directly into the air.

Claujeliatmata’s charge failed, realizing things were amiss, the cunning green dragon had no intention of continuing the chase on Hill, instead, turned and prepared to take off.

However, Hill in mid-air had no intention of letting her go.

He charged directly at the half-risen giant dragon, slamming with all his might.

Claujeliatmata let out a wail and was slammed down to the ground, Hill swiftly jumped again, using his knee to pin her neck.

Lynn and the others seemed to have noticed the commotion here and were rushing over.

Hill, without hesitation, swung a punch to knock out the ancient green dragon.

”Hill?” Lynn stared wide-eyed at his friend, who knocked out a dragon with a single punch, his voice trembling slightly, ”Want a sword? Or even an axe would do... don’t just keep using your fist!

Doesn’t your hand hurt?”
