Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 858: Chapter 654 Sudden Attack by the Devilfish

Hill suddenly realized something; he knew the double-headed baboon was behind the devilfish, but Ambori might not necessarily know.

However, whether the God of Saahua Fishmen knows is another matter. No, he must know.

Devils always have well-informed news.

Even if Sekola, who stays in Hell, has no allies, there’ll be some well-informed great devils who’ll provide him with the news for their amusement. You know, devilfish follow the Demon Prince because they are heavily bullied by the Saahua Fishmen.

Devilfish that can only use water magic truly have no chance against the water-resistant Saahua Fishmen.

Given the cunning and silver tongue of devils, making the nearly mindless Ambori take the bait isn’t difficult.

If Ambori had a bit of foresight and could see the consequences of cooperating with the Hell Evil God, she wouldn’t be in her current plight.

Sekola probably made these sharkmen creations for Ambori. Compared to the short Saahua Fishmen, the tall sharkmen are excellent meat shields.

Is he confident enough to believe he can take the sharkmen after Ambori dies?

Hill chuckled lightly, thinking how Sekola underestimated the intelligence of the devilfish. Successfully convincing both heads of Dimogogan, and ensuring all devilfish become priests of the Demon Prince upon becoming adults, Hill always thought these vampire-like creatures at sea were immensely powerful.

If you want to play the game of stork and mussel fighting with the fisherman benefiting, you need to consider if that stork is something the fisherman can handle.

Hill believes Sekola’s scheming is unlikely to succeed unless he has a Grand Duke of Hell to advise him, but he doesn’t have that kind of network. This guy doesn’t dare show his incarnation easily; whether it’s a devil, a demon, or any of the gods, their first reaction upon seeing his incarnation is to eliminate him.

Even Bane and Tampas, who are amidst a battle, would do the same.

Moreover, unless a devil is forced to participate in a blood battle, they’d never voluntarily confront a double-headed baboon. That guy doesn’t care whether you’re advising or hinting; he’s eager to find a devil to fight!

Finally having understood, Hill patiently watched the battlefield for a while. The fight was incredibly intense, with a particularly fierce atmosphere.

In the sky, some white swans were already flying out to aid in battle.

Yet currently there... haven’t been any casualties on either side, even the dolphins and sharks have only sustained minor injuries.

Compared to the arena of the Undead Tribe, it’s even more boring; crucially, only one side looks good, offering no viewing pleasure at all.

And the Deep Sea God still hasn’t returned.

It’s estimated that this time Deep Sea · Saezelra went to see a lover, the famous female demigod he’s been allied with for a long time in the Elf Deity System. It’s only when meeting her that Deep Sea · Saezelra doesn’t dare escape at any moment.

At the very least, he needs to finish his assignments before leaving.

Every time the Lord of the Deep Sea goes to see this person, it provokes the usually gentle and lovely Dolphin Goddess to rage and jump up to hit Deep Sea · Saezelra, and that’s the most important reason.

”Ah!” Vila exclaimed, gripping the crystal window, ”That leader is Princess Aierla, she’s the largest white swan!

My goodness! Is Teresina going to lose? Princess Aierla has joined the battle!

Hmm... Has that guy Deep Sea · Saezelra gone to the Sea of Love again? Why does Teresina still forgive him?”

Oberon, rarely joining in with his daughter at the window, usually maintains more dignity than Vila when people are around, disliking appearing overly enthusiastic, but this time is different; he’s a bit worried about the Swan Fairy Goddess.

A demigod’s power, in theory, is strong, but it depends on the type; those who climb up with hardship or are born demigods aren’t easily provoked.

But the weakest is Princess Aierla, who rose through divine grace; she’s like the Little Fairy Queen, a relatively weak deity, truly lacking in combat power.

Princess Aierla is actually merely a demigod swan with a simple attack style; many methods can harm her besides paralysis and petrification.

Her human form is even weaker than her swan form; she’s not genuinely human, but a small figure similar in height to Vila. Even if she excels in using a bow and arrow and long sword, she can’t overcome the size disparity.

Instead, her giant swan form over 1 meter tall has greater destructive power. Her primary ability is to deal with evil fairies from the Court of Sorrow and Rage, not to fight big entities on the Prime Material Plane.

Hill watched as the Swan Fairy Goddess began to shoot feathers, waving his hand to apply various supportive divine arts to them.

The attack power of those feathers... doesn’t even surpass some level 12 archers. Although the sight of feathers dancing across the sky is beautiful, it can only break the skin of those sharkmen.

Fairies as creatures, it turns out beauty is their life pursuit, right? At this moment using feathers? If that stuff transformed into exceptionally sharp metal, it might count as combat power.

Hill could only try to increase the speed of these feathers, enhancing their attack limit, at least make those shark-heads bleed a bit?

”Esteemed guests...” A wave quickly reached Hill’s ear, ”Welcome to Dolphin Bay. If possible, could you please assist the children in battle?

I specialize in healing and defensive spells, with few attack enhancements. I beg you.”

”Do you need me to drive them away directly? Killing them works too,” Hill replied lightly to the Dolphin Goddess.

”No need...” Teresina said gently, ”As long as Ambori and Sekola don’t appear, there’s no point in killing these poor puppets. Let the kids hone their combat skills a bit.”

Hill nodded slightly, and sighed inwardly.

Pacifists are truly the type he least wishes to engage with. These deities of great love who even try to save followers of the Abyss and Hell—Hill would never befriend them.

Suren is also quite benevolent, but she fights back against anyone who strikes her, regardless of faction. Even if she releases them amid their pleas, it’s only after beating them half to death.

Moreover... she loves only those who meet her gaze. The ugly shark-head emitting evil aura definitely doesn’t fall within her realm of mercy.

Who the hell would forgive such creatures as Sahua Fishmen?

This Dolphin Goddess... surprisingly could make even Hill feel defenseless, that’s quite an ability.

Hill quietly granted dual layers of attack and defense buffs to the dolphins and sea elves at her request, continuing to idle on the sofa.

On someone else’s turf, even if disagreeing, he must act according to the host’s intentions.

It’s just a bit frustrating; he never imagined he would actually encounter such a Holy Mother.

Even Teresina makes him uncomfortable, so he must avoid meeting the spring Goddess who doesn’t retaliate, even serves as the Peace Goddess. Just thinking about her name makes him inherently nauseous.

”Ah!” Oberon suddenly exclaimed quietly, ”The Lord of the Deep Sea is so fortunate! To have such a gentle goddess by his side.”

”And then he ended up searching for lovers everywhere,” Vila swiftly continued her father’s musings, ”Back when there were fewer affairs on the continent, everyone’s greatest amusement was watching the Lord of the Deep Sea get scolded by her?

She, with such a good temper, was angered enough to directly turn into a dolphin, using her tail to hit Deep Sea · Saezelra?

If Teresina was half as fierce as Rose, the Deep Sea God System would have fallen together, don’t understand why she stays within the Orderly Camp?

Moreover, why would orderly marry chaos? She got herself into trouble.

Dad, are you also wanting to imitate Deep Sea · Saezelra?

We, me and my siblings don’t mind your affairs; that’s because the Queen herself is no saint!

If we had such a mom... if you acted like the Lord of the Deep Sea...”

Vila fiercely waved her little magic wand: ”I’ll make flowers blossom on your head! Red ones!”

Hill turned his head to the other side, trying hard to suppress his laughter, Vila is truly a good daughter.

The battles ahead, resembling a farce, were still underway. Both sides practiced battle formations earnestly, but the spectators lost interest, and even the swans seemed to have realized that the battle on the sea was different from what they thought, circling above uncertain of what to do.

Hill, idle, was suddenly startled. He glanced back, then summoned a whirlwind that directly swept the swans from the sky into the mist merged with the sea waves.

Purwell instantly lowered the crystal wall on one side of the terrace, causing swans to scream in panic, disordered.

Although Oberon didn’t know what happened, he quickly flew above the swans, using his loud voice to overshadow the goose calls: ”Quiet! I’m Oberon, you’re safe.”

Vila then directly flew to Hill’s head: ”What’s going on, Hill!”

Without needing Hill to answer, they all noticed the large devilfish appeared behind.

The devilfish, already airborne over the sea surface, swarmed overhead, directly charging at the Sahua Fishmen, amid the screams, each fish paralyzed a fishman, grabbed with tentacles, and smashed into the sea.

In less than a minute, while the shark-heads were still in chaos, a pile of drained corpses floated up on the sea.

”Ugh~” Vila, promptly flicked away by Hill’s finger, clung to the table retching.

Hill comfortingly patted her little shoulder with his fingertip.

”Hill!” Vila said through gritted teeth while vomiting, ”You actually flicked me!? Ah! Where’s your kindness? Where’s your love for me, Hill?”

”Well...” Hill hesitated to say, ”Vila! If you can’t accomplish something yourself, you shouldn’t demand so much from others... or do you think you can achieve it yourself?”

With the devilfish’s next leap, Vila shouted, pale-faced: ”Don’t watch anymore! Quickly take us down! Purwell.”

She completely avoided Hill’s question.

As they settled onto the terrace, Hill keenly overheard Vila muttering: ”Why does the world need talents for discerning lies? How detestable... Whoever gave Hill this talent is surely an enemy of the little fairies!”
