Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 856: Chapter 652: Departure! Dancing Dolphin Bay

Hill suddenly felt that his decision to throw Lansendel out was somewhat rash.

What was wrong with that damned Tablets of Fate? Wasn’t this equivalent to Lansendel’s dedicated subordinates’ work now being forced upon him?

This set of Divine Artifacts was very important for proclaiming the glory of the Sun God, especially since it included the Resurrection Medicine.

As long as there was a truly Orderly Good priest, combined with a Divine Artifact that didn’t require a high level for its use, this was the true reason Amanata gained sufficient faith power!

As for the Divine Artifact Lansendel himself crafted, he should clearly know whether or not it had the same effect, should he not? By using someone else’s Divine Artifact, the faith naturally belonged to Amanata.

Moreover, the cup held by the officiating priest was Amanata’s own Holy Grail with self-thinking capability, and it would naturally guide these priests towards the true Sun God.

Most importantly, the Law never accounts for lies. Unless you can successfully replace and make the original completely disappear, the moment Amanata appears, the Law will return what belongs to him.

There have been successful examples of Toril Gods devouring other deities, but they were all cases of the strong defeating the weak. What made Lansendel think that his Light of Dawn could surpass the Sun itself?

However... it’s actually quite normal for Lansendel to experience diminished intelligence. In fact, considering that The Lord of Dawn had endured for so long under the curse of the Goddess of Luck, the Goddess of Misfortune, and the Tablets of Fate without losing his wit is quite impressive.

Hill crossed his arms, no longer concerning himself with other matters, and simply instructed List to send other items into the Purification Pool. They were merely jewelry and some small Strange Objects, with the rest being ordinary quality silk and cotton.

These kinds of things didn’t interest him much, so he planned to leave it to Lynn to handle later.

Hill reminisced that many of Acreber’s demigod followers were rare Orderly Good alignments among the Elves, and that Demigod indeed was extremely rare and akin to a Saint.

Compared to All Gods, Acreber, who traversed the Great Land and was willing to help anyone in need, eventually becoming the closest to a deity within the Sun God Sect, was indeed very reasonable.

If it weren’t for a conceited individual in the Naicer Empire aspiring to become a god and surpass all deities, including AO, which led to Amanata’s direct downfall, Acreber, having traveled the world, might have ascended right there and then.

Unfortunately, not only did Amanata fall, but his entire God System was almost wiped out. It was the curse upon the entire world against the Sun God Sect, and kindness alone couldn’t withstand it.

But after the complete fall of the Sun God Faction, Acreber’s followers, who once pursued him but abandoned him at that time, regretted it. They desperately searched Toril for Sacred Artifacts from before Acreber’s fall, hoping to use the power of faith to let him return from The River of Time and Space.

Sadly, due to Lansendel’s grand act, these Divine Artifacts were regarded as treasures of the Sun God, and the majority of the faith went to Amanata.

Amanata found it all too easy to devour the faith dedicated to Acreber.

Hill chuckled gently, the Tablets of Fate could continue sending these beneficial items related to the Sun God Sect. As long as he wasn’t greedy, the Tablets of Fate didn’t have the power to force him to resurrect Amanata.

Resurrection, truly a wonderful thing, thought Hill as he looked down at the cup and poured Holy Water into it.

But unless you were Toril people, you couldn’t use this Divine Arts lightly, unless permission was granted in advance.

Resurrection... Only by leveraging Toril’s Origin Power could it be accomplished. Those resurrected by the Resurrection Technique, like the angels resurrected in Tyr’s Divine Kingdom, would be forever bound to Toril. Even when Fate demanded it, they would be reluctantly brought out to serve as pawns.

How could creations of Origin Power possibly refuse Toril’s fountainhead?

Hill suddenly let out a bitter smile. His thoughts were simple, but for most people, becoming a puppet of the Law was preferable to permanent death.

At least here in Toril, resurrection was still possible, whereas Teraxil, with no Land of the Dead, held no such hope.

Even for himself, despite currently longing for freedom, he wasn’t sure if he could abandon his pride in the face of death.

No, that can’t be right... he’s so strong, so cautious, how could he possibly die?

Hill abruptly stood up, placing the Acreber Holy Grail and Amulet into a strongly isolated Mithril Casket, then stowed the casket into the cabinet behind him, sealing it with multiple spells.

He honestly didn’t expect the power of light to be so brainwashing... he actually wavered for a moment, thinking staying in Toril wouldn’t be so bad!

What a terrifying world.

Once back in Agleya, he’d have the Harpists spread the word, gather those Acreber followers!

Hill resolutely made his decision. He wouldn’t be greedy, but neither would he give Amanata the advantage. If his revival was inevitable, then let Acreber, the true good man, also return!

At least he truly detested evil. Wielding Divine Speechcraft and Law Speechcraft, he once swept across the entire Ferun Great Land.

”Hill, Hill~” called Vila softly from the window. ”What were you playing with just now? It looked a little fierce! Why did it feel like seeing that old stubborn Amanata from the time of Naish?”

Hill twitched his mouth slightly. What he admired most about Vila was exactly this trait. As a Little Flower Fairy of the Chaotic Faction, relying solely on her adorable cuteness, she actually managed to reside near the most order-upholding Sun God Temple.

Moreover, from the way she speaks without a filter, it seems that even during that time, she never controlled her mouth.

”It’s not Amanata’s stuff, it’s Acreber’s,” Hill said softly.

”Ah!” Vila dropped the small magic wand in her hand and dramatically covered her mouth with her hand, letting out an adorable scream, ”Oh great Acreber!”

Then she picked up the wand that had fallen on Hill’s desk and snorted, ”Annoying old man!”

Seeing Hill’s surprised look, Vila said unhappily, ”Only he would consider both evil and chaos as unstable factors, even if it’s chaotic good, he would expel it.

When he came to the Sun God Temple where I was staying, he almost had the lovely priestess sister kick me out!

It was Oberon who stepped in to stop him!

Hmph! If he had the ability, why doesn’t he drive the Little Fairy Court off the Ferun Great Land? Why doesn’t he deal with the elves!”

Hill was silent for a few seconds before asking, ”What did you do to him?”

Acreber has never been an unreasonable person; he just doesn’t like contact with the Chaotic Faction but doesn’t care who the neighbors are of others. For Vila to make him so angry that Oberon needed to be brought in to calm him down, she really caused a mess!

”I... his stuff isn’t supposed to be touched by chaos, right?” Vila said uncomfortably, ”So I got some little birds from the Orderly Camp to throw all those cups and jars on top of the Naish Mountains for the half-orcs to play with.”

Hill looked at her silently; Acreber truly is a good person! Considering even after this, he only wanted to expel Vila from the Naicer Kingdom; anyone else would have been furious.

Amanata’s church could be called the Church of Gold, since their sacred artifacts are mostly made of gold and silver. Staying in an arcanist’s country, one can imagine how scarce these precious metals must be.

All because of a little fairy’s prank, a rare complete set was ruined by the half-orcs, and even if recovered, Acreber could never use them again! No matter what, he is still a demigod.

Face is still quite important.

No wonder, with Acreber’s many years as a demigod, he only has two sacred artifacts that became divine artifacts!

Hill gently said, ”That was a bit too much, Vila, you can’t do something like that again.”

”Oberon already talked to me!” Vila said, a little embarrassed, ”He said if it weren’t for Acreber, I would probably already be a dead fairy. He even made me apologize to Acreber while holding my neck.

If it was Acreber’s cup, Hill should see the particularly exquisite gemstones on it that Oberon took from his collection to compensate him, one piece equals that whole set he had!”

Hill quietly watched the little fairy trying to justify herself. Is this really the issue? All those years of divine power Acreber poured into those!

”I know it was my fault!” Vila said dejectedly, ”I haven’t done such excessive pranks since then.”

Hill rubbed his forehead and shook his head helplessly, but he did feel more fondness for that demigod Acreber, such a cultured person!

If it’s someone like him who could help with the resurrection, Hill seems more willing...

”Why aren’t you playing up there, what are you doing coming to see me?” Hill suddenly realized, logically, since they just set out, these fairies shouldn’t have had enough of the fun, so why did Vila come to see him?

”If it’s going from the Great Sea to the Ferun Great Land, Hill, could you go to Dancing Dolphin Bay once?” Vila whispered, ”My dad very much wants to see Princess Aierla. Around this time, she always sends an avatar there to gather with the Swan Fairies.

Him leaving the Little Fairy Court so determinedly must make the goddess who likes fairies very sad.

No matter what, she died protecting my dad and was then designated by Titania as a demigod of the Outer Court.

My dad wants to have a good chat with her, hoping she’ll keep her enthusiasm for the fairies instead of the queen.

Her divinity, although designated by Titania, was actually split from my dad, only Oberon, as the Lord of Beasts, could confers animal-related fairy divinity.

There are many things Princess Aierla doesn’t quite know; she’s a very beautiful woman, and my dad has to act cold towards her, or she’d have been in trouble long ago.”

The Swan Fairy Goddess, who was originally a human ranger?

Hill nodded, ”Just talk to Purwell about it; I don’t have anything I want to do.”

Vila spun around happily in the air, shouting ’Hill agreed’ as she flew out the window.

Hill smiled and shook his head, letting List notify Lynn to say a few words in advance.
