Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 865: Chapter 661: The Demon Priest Has Really Arrived

Looking at Terry’s figure about to fly away, Hill softly said, ”It seems Terry doesn’t need my gift anymore.”

The Little Golden Dragon froze, slipping through the air in a slanted curve, almost crashing into Purwell, before grabbing onto the terrace railing. He bared his white teeth and widened his dragon mouth, ”Dear Hill, where’s my gift?”

Hill tilted his head to look at him with a gentle smile.

Terry quickly transformed into human form, served Hill tea, and even attempted to give him a back massage. Sigh! How could he forget that Hill, as a human, liked to bring back travel gifts for his family? Giant Dragons didn’t have such habits; he must remember this next time, rolling his eyes only after receiving the gift.

Hill couldn’t help but shake his head and laugh; it seemed Terry had learned quite a few interesting things from the Undead Tribe.

Hill straightforwardly handed him a box, ”The Mo Fei Jade inside, once you take it out, put it in your bedroom, but be careful not to bump it as this jade is quite fragile.”

Terry took a look inside the box and immediately understood why Hill wanted him to put this jade, so dark green it’s almost black, in his bedroom. The aura it emitted was very helpful for his sleep!

What dragons fear is not how long they sleep, but the quality of their sleep. Hill must have found this piece of jade especially for him.

Terry happily put away the box. What does it matter being a scholar? Generosity is what counts!

Could a dragon have a more perfect friend than Hill?

Terry cheerfully went to find Lynn, feeling that he could now withstand Lynn’s lessons for a long time.

He actually knew well that settlers like Silver Flame are unstable factors for any city, and Lynn would definitely see Tasding as a big problem.

Just because Hill doesn’t care doesn’t mean Lynn wouldn’t care, as his teacher was always sensitive to matters concerning Hill’s interests.

No worries, since Lynn never vetoes something that Hill agrees on; at most, he’d scold him a bit. Terry spun happily in the air, fearless!

What could Lynn do? He could only agree and later issue a notice of reassurance: Besides the Golden Dragon, another Mercury Dragon would also come to the city.

Terry’s friend arrived quickly, worried that others wouldn’t know about his permission to reside in Agleya City, and circled above the city numerous times.

Deepwater City has a saying: ”Just like Silver Flame...”, used to express plans that have taken strange and unexpected turns.

This Mercury Dragon had not been near Deepwater City for long, and yet in such a short time, he had lived himself into a proverb.

Hill stood on the terrace and smiled helplessly, the nature of Silver Flame was truly whimsical; just from the fact he changed to dozens of poses while flying those few circles, it was evident.

Once the Undead Tribe noticed his presence and began clapping and cheering, Silver Flame’s flying became even more thrilling and exciting.

Previously, Terry had also flown in his original form, but he paid more attention to his graceful posture and whether his scales were smooth and shiny, completely different in temperament from this Mercury Dragon with a long scar on his belly who didn’t care at all.

Silver Flame even played with instant dives, sweeping right past the cheering elves, not caring at all about the countless hands touching him.

Fortunately, the Undead Tribe were already accustomed to being unable to take action in Agleya City, otherwise someone would have already stabbed him a few times.

Hill agreed to take Silver Flame in, not just because he was Terry’s friend.

However, come to think of it, when seeing a runaway child, normal people would definitely send them home rather than placing them safely far away, right?

Terry said his parents would beat Silver Flame... anyone else would beat him too! Hill could really understand how those parents felt.

However, the dimensional treasure necklace that Terry found; if history went as usual, it would have been discovered by Silver Flame while evading a Green Dragon’s pursuit.

He only managed to escape the Green Dragon’s chase because he obtained this necklace.

The necklace and treasure are already Terry’s now, but Hill felt he should still give Silver Flame a hand, as sometimes, he knew in his heart whether he owed others, and Hill didn’t want to cast a shadow over his own soul.

However, if they weren’t friends, Hill might have learned about it from the Harpist sometime later. He never expected so many incidents to occur before Dragon Madness, and Silver Flame still managed to provoke those Green Dragons in the Supreme Forest.

Hill knew that Silver Flame had a good relationship with many Rangers in the Harpist circle, and if they knew of Silver Flame’s trouble, they would seek help worldwide.

He originally intended to take out the Green Dragon when the Harpist issued a cry for help, as he remembered the resident place was initially an abandoned Elf Temple.

Hill sighed helplessly, turned and went back to the study, no longer watching the slender Giant Dragon flaunting his mirror-like scales in the sunlight.

The old Green Dragon did indeed leave the North directly after knowing where Silver Flame had gone.

Logically, she should actually be grateful to Silver Flame; although she lost a son because of him, at least she and another son survived by leaving the Supreme Forest.

When Valkin triggered the space storm, most living beings indeed received protection from the Nature God Sylvanas and Coron, but certainly not the evil Prismatic Dragon.

Moreover, the reason her son was killed by the Silver Flame was because both parties were under the control of Dragon Madness, and it was her two sons who made the first move.

The Silver Flame barely survived through a brush with death.

Hill really thought that after the Supreme Forest was completely gone, that Green Dragon couldn’t help but take her son to continue chasing the Silver Flame, just to steal his lair.

The arrival of the Silver Flame had some impact; after spending a few days mixing drinks with the awakened Terry, he resolutely rushed to the port, acting as a guiding dragon for some Undead Magic Ships setting out to sea.

He would rather hang at the ship’s bow pretending to be a figurehead than endure the days of being surrounded by flocks of young girls. Although Terry saved his life and is a good friend, even Silver Flame wonders if something’s wrong with Terry—how could he not feel embarrassed?

A giant dragon should really enjoy the cheers, but shouldn’t it be admiration and reverence for their bravery and strength? Why does Terry smile back at a group of cheering Elves?

It’s a pity Tasding left too early; otherwise, he would have known just how much money Terry could make from selling his smiles every day. After considering it for a few days, Terry still couldn’t bear to share this money-making path with his friend.

Tasding can transform by himself; his mercury-like long hair attracts gazes, and Terry thinks this guy would certainly steal his business.

Being a figurehead suits him well too.

The peaceful days in Agleya City lasted only three days before Hill received the Puzzle Lock’s alarm.

He had already informed Marsha to notify the Undead Tribe immediately whenever red mist appeared, so soon many people rushed over.

Hill stood on the terrace, frowning at the corner over there.

He had a very clear feeling: this was just Chil’s probing.

This cunning Demon Servant was testing the control range of Hill’s Puzzle Lock, and it seemed he intended to engage Agleya City in a long-term battle of attrition.

If they had no way on land, Hill quietly turned his head to look at the sea...

No, those Devilfish can’t even enter Sword Bay.

The sea around Sword Bay was effectively controlled by Agleya.

Even without promoting her greatness or gathering followers, the faith power collected by her statues was astonishingly large, and with no other way, Agleya eventually used it to calm the Northern Sea, which was severely agitated by Ambori.

Even after she returned to Teraxil, the statues’ main duty remained to calm the sea using faith power, and Agleya’s influence gradually extended from Sword Bay, resulting in more Sea People starting to pray to her.

In Sword Bay, where Agleya’s control is strongest, any creatures hostile to Agleya City would be directly driven away by the rolling sea.

The Demon Prince controlled only aquatic monsters, and he couldn’t manage the sea; those Devilfish couldn’t possibly enter Sword Bay.

The Undead Tribe soon returned.

”Sir, it’s just some Demon Followers,” Marsha appeared in the study, ”they brought some bloody items, seemingly wanting to conduct a Demon ritual here.”

Hill nodded: ”It seems that from now on, alarms will keep appearing. Be attentive and don’t let the Undead Tribe ignore any of them.

Especially the altars, they absolutely must not be set up.

Even if we can handle the summoned demons, I don’t want any part of my territory to have its air polluted.”

Marsha playfully winked: ”If this Demon Priest uses the methods for dealing with Toril World’s Humans against the Undead Tribe, he will be disappointed.

The Undead Tribe never finds things too many or too troublesome; not getting a task is what’s painful for them.”

Hill chuckled: ”Don’t they like things from the Suolong Continent? Remember to take out some jewelry from the ordinary boxes for random task rewards. But absolutely do not alter the total value of the rewards.”

Marsha didn’t quite understand but nodded to carry out the orders.

Those Flower Tiaras, Jade Hairpins, and Hairpins, while intricately crafted, were actually made from scraps and were in abundance. These were subsidiary items given to Hill by the An Family as part of a trade, and their enchantments were all things like Charm or Radiance Rejuvenation, which are of no use to Hill.

Indeed, nobles in the Ferun Great Land would buy such jewelry, but the price is not high, as even Mages above level 6 can enchant them with these simple spells.

Many Mages in this world initially earned money with these items; Hill couldn’t possibly sell so many of them.

They can be used to pique the Undead Tribe’s interest in opening random blind boxes.

Hill looked into the distance and smiled: Given the Undead Tribe’s interest in this world, they won’t change the game for at least one or two years. Let’s see who can last longer.

Do those chaotically evil demon underlings really have the patience for a bit of probing and year after year of torment?
