Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 868: Chapter 664: The Farce Behind the Pirate Pursuit Battle

’Perfect Bald’ still didn’t quite understand why those women hated him, it’s an auction! How could they blame him for having a fat wallet when they couldn’t bear to spend their own money?

’Xiao Liuliu’ glanced helplessly at Baldy. If she’d been the one bidding, she would only get comments like ’Sister Liu really knows how to spend money,’ but losing jewelry to a man was humiliating.

Baldy always said he understood women very well, but actually, he was full of it.

He couldn’t control those women from Black Rose at all. Even if Baldy wanted to learn from ’Snow Cloud Peak,’ his fate wouldn’t be getting beaten on the ship, but directly being shoved into a stinky mud pit.

Otherwise, why would he be so envious, jealous, and resentful toward ’Snow Cloud Peak,’ making all these sarcastic remarks?

A while ago, when Snow Old Dog was being sarcastic to him, he didn’t resent the old dog.

The feud among the Undead led Coron, who was staying at the Alchemy Hall, to find Hill specifically. He wanted to see what kind of jewelry could cause such an interesting outcome.

Hill directly let List open the warehouse for him to see, as none of the things there were of use to him.

The result of Coron’s visit was that the pirate bounty side now had more Elf decorations because the great Father of Elves believed their elven crafts were definitely not inferior to those of the Shulong Empire.

Although they used more natural materials, compared to the Shulong’s artificial products, their jewelry had many other uses! For example, a hairpin made from flowers could make someone smell like that flower all over when worn.

And as soon as the Elf Sequence jewelry appeared, Snow Old Dog’s life was saved. The already exposed Demon Cult Great Ship directly started a live broadcast, and many eager-eyed young women were holding weapons, staring intently at the island ahead.

If not for needing the heads of those wanted criminals recorded for evidence, a rain of fire might have already swept over. The Magic Cult family is the only one still insisting on the Fire Element Grand Magic, with over ten thousand pure Fire Element Mages.

Perhaps because when the family was initially built, setting people on fire every day cultivated this hobby.

Even so, they didn’t release fewer small fireballs, instantly igniting the wooden houses on Pirate Island.

Every island they visited ended up desolate and barren.

Fortunately, these islands didn’t have many plants or animals to begin with. Pirates never had any ideas about creating an ecosystem; they would almost always chop down all the big trees when occupying any island.

The reason these islands could sustain was mainly because those who attacked them on the high seas were also pirates, who would certainly work hard to protect the houses, warehouses, and shipyards. As for kind alignments like Harpists, they couldn’t even find where they were.

This was the first time pirates were directly attacked at their doorstep by a kind alignment. In the past, the unluckiest peers only managed to offend a Silver Dragon, getting chased and fire-breathed over the ocean.

Who would have thought one day their secret hideouts would be fully exposed!

How did they get discovered?

They really kept an eye on the changes in the seawater. After all, this ocean was not yet under the watch of the Goddess Agleya!

Where the hell did those Teraxil Elves get such accurate information!

The pirates who died in despair all wanted to cry: Who’s really the evil faction? Why don’t we even get a chance to surrender?

Isn’t the kind alignment always hoping the evil ones could turn over a new leaf?

Well, that’s because... Coron’s bounties for surrendered pirates and dead pirates were the same!

The Magic Cult even intended to hit a few more islands before all pirates could escape! Accepting surrendered pirates would be so troublesome!

Seeing the Demon Cult Great Ship’s unstoppable might, many undead who liked this combat style also started boarding the ship.

But unfortunately, the big prizes were already captured by the Magic Cult. Those pirates who realized something was wrong had certainly begun to retreat from near Sword Bay, frozen areas in the North were impassable, so they could only head south to Moonshadow Island.

After discovering that the Magic Cult eliminated the Sheng Zhaolong, who had been long wanted by the Shulong Empire, not only intercepting a Shulong-standard magic ship that Hill was willing to purchase, but also gaining trifecta rewards, most of the Undead Tribe went totally crazy.

Coron had put bounties on all the pirates on the Ferun Great Land.

For the game of the brave, for beautiful elven jewelry, the Undead Tribe decisively headed south, chasing behind the pirates straight to the Moonshadow Sea.

The pirates of the Moonshadow Sea had a loud reputation, easily numbering in the tens of thousands, and they even had a recognized strong guy like the Pirate King.

But actually, the highest level of the Pirate King was only level 14. Others were led by mid-tier professionals around level 12 to 13, leading pirates of around levels 7 to 8, and even the small fry weren’t professionals.

The Pirate King’s direct subordinates were only a few thousand people, with even fewer large pirates.

To put it bluntly, behind every pirate able to gain a foothold in Moonshadow Sea, there’s always someone unknown supporting them! How could they possibly all heed the words of a so-called Pirate King.

It’s just a bunch of loose sand; when faced with real enemies, it’s impossible for them to unite together.

So when the pirates realized that these mysterious Teraxil Elves were no longer satisfied with the small fry in Sword Bay, they panicked.

Faced with thousands of magic ships charging from the North, the Pirate King of Moonshadow Sea was terrified.

If there were indeed as many Undead Tribe as rumored, paired with such powerful forces, why would the Pirate King still be in the Toril World? He would’ve gone to attack a country long ago; what could be easier for profit than attacking a country?

While at it, one could even establish a nation, as long as they find a grand church willing to recognize their independence, it wouldn’t take long to be whitewashed as a powerful entrepreneur.

However, the result of desperately seeking help from the Great Nobility or Kings behind them was silence through death.

Even that Ancient Green Dragon, who occasionally works for money, started playing dumb. After issuing a notice saying it would sleep for a hundred years, it completely blocked its island and refused to meet anyone.

This full-scale attack by the Undead Tribe caused great pain to coastal countries like Anmur. If Hill were to ask the Harpists, he would discover how many countries were secretly behind Moonshadow Sea.

Even some countries situated at the far southern ends of Ferun Great Land were trying to stir trouble here despite being diagonally apart from Moonshadow Sea.

No choice, with the space gates built by the Elves leading to the Outer Realm on the Northern Continent here, the allure was simply too great. Who wouldn’t wish for a chance to control Deepwater City or neighboring countries?

Those countries which set up so-called spare pieces in Moonshadow Sea, felt pride then, and now experienced panic. The frequent deployment of airborne knights above their capitals proved how many mouths they needed to silence to cover this up.

No country attempted to save this group of pirates at this time; these Kings and Great Nobilities were only annoyed at these useless chess pieces for not ending themselves timely, requiring their effort.

Excuses once used to brush off other countries hold no ground before Coron’s mighty divine power.

No King has the courage to say those outdated excuses to the Father of Elves: creatures like pirates will always emerge, as long as they don’t cause great public outrage, just let them be!

Therefore, even when their actions were exposed to their colleagues, no one dared to drag out the matter.

Kingly and Great Nobility who are really sinister and cruel naturally didn’t care; for them, performing such deeds was considered normal. But many nobility originally tagged as righteous and kind were forced to wrap up, enduring weird glares.

Nobles in Toril never need to hide their shame and ruthlessness, provided they lack excessive ambitions.

Thus, those seeking a good reputation while being fundamentally opposite, especially military-strong Great Nobility, must endure the scrutinizing gaze of the King at this moment.

Hill, having received the chaotic news from these countries, stared blankly at Lynn across from him, savoring his fine wine, and couldn’t understand what these Nobles and Kings feared.

”In Toril, as long as there’s enough evidence against a country or land-owning great noble, powerful others can directly claim for justice to depose him.” Lynn laughed, ”Now in Toril, aren’t there essentially two strong forces without their own land already counted as one?”

Hill paused for a while before understanding that, although they themselves knew well that Teraxil Elves and the Eternity Island Elves weren’t united, the Human Kingdoms thought otherwise.

In their minds, Elves always help Elves.

And Eternity Island Elves occupying Mulan is enough to alert them.

Hill pondered, if Anmur were truly caught with enough evidence, he couldn’t guarantee the Royal Navy fleet wouldn’t act.

Compared to Mulan, more suited as a fleet base, Anmur is the most suitable country for Elves to thrive.

However, he also realized humans were very attentive and prepared to oppose any Elven actions.

Just like this incident, all human nations knew why these coastal countries were so panicked, but regardless of relations, none lagged behind.

Perhaps because they realized that if humans lacked this bit of unity, they would surrender the Northern Continent back to Elves.

Hill gazed at Lynn, knowing his friend couldn’t miss the deeper implications of this matter, yet he was celebrating with wine. Lynn really disliked the nobility from Eternity Island!

He couldn’t help but laugh, and took out a bottle of Mage’s Wine ’Crystal Mystery’ from Teraxil, handing it to Lynn: ”Though a bit strong, this wine is made for mages, capable of invigorating the Mental Sea.

This is a special product from Teraxil Elves, mixed with some unknown special material which I couldn’t replicate even with a barrel.”

Lynn examined the crystal-clear bottle with interest for a while, then poured a cup and took a sip; truly a fine wine, worth savoring.
