Surviving The Fourth Calamity

Chapter 871: Chapter 667: Turmoil in the Toril World

Chil died a horrible death.

When the Undead Tribe rushed to that place and discovered that the dozens of corpses controlled by this Demon Follower were mostly young children, they went completely mad.

They couldn’t forget the labels Hill had specifically marked on this guy’s head: ’Necrophilia, pedophilia.’

Even in an interstellar society that abolished most death penalties, such acts were still unforgivable crimes.

Moreover, as they couldn’t witness such terrifying scenes, they had no scruples when taking action.

In the end, it led to the Elven City Guards who were tasked with cleaning up the mess with Holy Water throwing up so much that they couldn’t eat for half a month.

The situation was so unbearable that even the Elves, more knowledgeable than Hill, couldn’t stand it, and Hill didn’t even dare to imagine it.

He certainly couldn’t, like those curious Elves, go and listen to the detailed descriptions given by the City Guards on duty that day while they vomited.

So he simply entrusted Lynn to send the highest grade Holy Water, along with the purest Elf Wine, over to them.

Anyway, although they looked a bit miserable, they had a bizarre sense of pride.

Coron was quite pleased.

Because of the overly ferocious actions of the Undead Tribe, Dimogogan hesitated for a second when retrieving Chil’s soul.

Then it was intercepted by Tom, the God of Loyalty.

Chil’s soul was directly stuck on the Crystal Wall.

Since the previous Grim Reaper Milko completely fell, hardly anyone could be put on Toril’s deceitful Wall of the Faithless... if someone truly did, all gods would likely go to witness this spectacle.

No, even Demons and Devils would abandon their Blood Wars to visit such a rare presence.

Since the wall was built, Milko himself didn’t use it much, only hanging up some foul-mouthed people who cursed him, and those were from the Evil Faction, after which no one else went up.

To be honest, Milko was acting out of personal vendetta, wanting to hang some enemies.

After he fell, only true atheists would be put on the wall.

In Toril, a place where pulling a loud curse while constipated might qualify one for divine faith, anyone reaching that standard must be an antisocial or completely self-denying person, such a metamorphosis is rare even for Toril; at least none have appeared in the past millennium.

Otherwise, Kelemvor, who succeeded as the Grim Reaper, wouldn’t always feel that the people on the wall don’t deserve death, and would constantly think of dismantling the wall.

The truly existing thing that terrifies evil-doers is the Wanderer Crystal Wall, upon which the evil spirits with Tom’s insignia engraved on their hands completely lose their sanity, forever singing strange ditties, never stopping their steps.

The only way for the evil spirits entering there to escape is by burning completely into ashes of no value.

Chil’s fate brought joy to everyone who understood the significance of the Crystal Wall, and Tom was probably praised more than ever in his life.

It was truly the most perfect conclusion to this war.

Coron was willing to end this tug-of-war because spring was coming to The North, and the grand temples across Ferun Great Land had started to run out of people to capture.

Not that they couldn’t capture anyone, but the ones left were big names, and ample evidence was needed to take action.

The tug-of-war had reached their side.

And because winter lasted so long, spring in The North was very short, and one had to hurry to plant trees.

Otherwise, the Father of Elves truly wouldn’t mind if the Double-headed Baboon found the souls of the Undead Tribe’s location; that place would even waste the Abyssal Will.

Even seeing a glimpse from afar made him feel fearful.

Coron had seen many terrifying universes; some Black Holes formed in those universes seemed like they could swallow all power approaching them, and even he was merely additional energy.

Yet the universe where the Undead Tribe resided made him shiver even more; that place didn’t require any power; anyone going there became useless ashes.

The group in the Abyss who feared nothing, it would be fine if they went; dying there might leave them without a chance for resurrection.

Unfortunately, for Coron, using an ally’s homeland to eliminate one’s own enemies was something he couldn’t do.

He would still prefer the Undead Tribe to help plant trees for the Elven Race.

The space bags of the Undead Tribe are perfectly suited for this task; an Elf just needs to lead them to a suitable place.

Coron, when discussing this matter with Hill, suddenly shook his head and chuckled bitterly: it’s apparent by arranging the Undead Tribe to do this task, he lacked confidence in how many Elves in the whole world would respond to the call of his High Priest.

Even though everyone knew it was Coron’s wish, if not the oracle of the Father of Elves, many Elves wouldn’t do this.

The Sun Elves and Moon Elves who occupied the Supreme Forest originally... had great ability to incite public wrath.

Coron never forced his children, so he had to find his own solutions; fortunately, there were still the Undead Tribe.

The arrival of spring also brought cheer to Agleya City, especially with the neighboring Wood Elves joining in, making the greening within Agleya City even more harmonious.

Whenever the Druids passed by the floral gardens on the street, they couldn’t help but lend a hand.

This Mage City Lord... his power is really strong, surprisingly, plants that shouldn’t grow well together are flourishing instead.

The wood elves had long noticed that the Teraxil elves seemed a bit reckless when planting; they always thought that all these seeds would end up wasted.

This was one of the reasons for their dissatisfaction with Agleya City. How could one use plants so roughly?

Yet with the stubborn disposition of wood elves, they were unwilling to take the initiative to teach those peculiar elves.

So, they just pointed fingers in the Green Forest.

However, these flowers, grasses, and trees still sprouted in a mess, and they finally understood the strength of the City Lord.

But by then, their stand had already been established, and the wood elves didn’t know how to back down gracefully.

Fortunately, that Lynn City Official was truly a good elf, offering them a way out, and the druids quickly seized the chance to step down.

The wood elves hadn’t visited before, but now that they had come, they couldn’t tolerate the chaos in the small parks of Agleya City.

Though, after making their first move, they still felt a bit frightened.

The druids, accustomed to freedom, acted without asking anyone; it felt natural when someone came to watch halfway through the process, but the thought that this place had an owner only occurred after they finished.

Nonetheless, the owner of this city was indeed the embodiment of a nature mage and was very lenient with them.

Lynn came directly to soothe their unease and even provided generous thanks.

Then, he hired these wood elf druids at a high price and entrusted them with the management of the small parks in Agleya City.

This was quite good, and the druids quickly became part of the daily life in Agleya City.

After all, in this city, although the Teraxil elves seemed busy on the streets, other elves and major races appeared leisurely and carefree.

Every corner of Agleya City was arranged warmly and comfortably; even the citizens were quite calm in their tasks; they weren’t exceedingly wealthy, but they seemed to live contentedly.

Every detail of this city allows newcomers to perceive the tenderness and benevolence of the City Lord.

The druids were simply encouraged to leave the forest and become members of Agleya City because they sensed all of this.

Hill, who received feedback from Lynn, felt somewhat puzzled; if the plants had any complaints, he could detect them.

Yet, whenever he walked in the park and communicated with the plants, they all seemed to say they were doing quite well?

Could it be that he misunderstood something?

Seeing the druids tidying up some of the parks after spreading half of the Water Maze Lock in the Green Forest, Hill directly went to communicate with those plants.

Then, he helplessly discovered that the plants indeed felt more comfortable in their current life, but they never felt any discomfort before.

Probably because Hill’s life force made them essentially impervious to that slight discomfort.

Hill had no solution; it was a passive talent.

For him, unless planting fire-fearing plants in a volcano, there was no way to grow plants that couldn’t survive; at most, they wouldn’t thrive.

The daily botanical research of druids could only be observed by Hill.

Fortunately, his city had real druids, who, once they discovered that Hill’s University Town had not only adult students but many young children, quickly found Lynn and initiated a druid interest class.

Druids must learn some basic knowledge from a young age; those pure talented factions... have become relics of the past.

Though wood elves have long lifespans, there’s no knowing when one might be struck by bad luck, so it’s proper to pass down their green circle philosophy.

Even if there are few elf children in Agleya City, it’s still more than their entire race, and many sun elves learned from General Gael, leaving their family’s underage children here.

After the attention of the Undead Tribe was once again drawn to the Supreme Forest by Coron, Ferun Great Land seemed much more tranquil.

This was a winter that left no one at ease, and everyone hoped for a peaceful spring.

Even the life of farming embodies stability.

However, everyone’s peaceful life ended in a dreadful seismic upheaval, as people panicked, watching the sky above and the earth below both begin to shatter.

”Oberon! Take the little fairies to Purwell!” Hill shouted as soon as the tremors started.

Watching the space fracture, Hill, hugging the Crystal Flower and holding his magic book, furiously used the puzzle lock to seal Agleya City.

His mana surged out frantically at that moment, knowing what happened, Hill was well aware that he would likely not need spells for a short time.

The magic source of the entire world was in chaos, only divine artifacts and strange objects had any effect at this moment, and Hill could only exert all his strength.

Luckily... Hill sat in the pool, clutching the Crystal Flower, persevering... Fortunately, he wasn’t annoyed and crafted this strengthening divine artifact for the puzzle lock.

It wasn’t until he saw the silver light shooting straight up from neighboring Deepwater City, and then saw similar silver beams in the distance that Hill’s wildly racing heart steadied.

Damned Cyric! Damned Shaer!

Mystra fell ahead of schedule!
