Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1434: Chapter 744: Unable to Power On_3

Zhou Yun said, ”I don’t know, I haven’t been following this matter.”

”I heard Seapool Film and Television reached an agreement with him to keep him quiet. Xiao Yun, didn’t you know?” someone else said, ”I thought you knew about this.”

”I didn’t know, Seapool Film and Television hasn’t communicated with me either.” Zhou Yun shook her head, ”Anyway, this whole thing is very confusing, to me, it’s just a disaster out of nowhere. I hope it ends soon.”

”Yeah.” Wen Xi raised his glass, ”I’m very happy my friends came to my place today to gather, let’s have a drink.”

Everyone raised their glasses.

After lunch, everyone watched a movie together in the living room.

It was a foreign film about two fifteen-year-old teenagers.

”Don’t you think the taller one looks a bit like Weicheng?”

”Now that you mention it, it kind of does.”

”He does look a bit like him.”

While talking, everyone looked at Wei Weicheng, as if seeking approval from the main subject.

Wei Weicheng said, ”Indeed, a little bit.”

Everyone burst out laughing.

Zhou Yun glanced at Wei Weicheng, feeling a bit surprised.

Among the people here, it seemed everyone knew Wei Weicheng for a long time except for her.

Their attitude towards Wei Weicheng was respectful yet friendly.

Zhou Yun didn’t understand, but had an intuition that everyone really liked Wei Weicheng, in a kind of intimate way.

It’s often said that Song Chi is like Wei Weicheng, but Zhou Yun felt the two weren’t similar in that regard.

At least around Song Chi, Zhou Yun didn’t sense the same kind of affectionate liking.

It seemed easier for everyone to include Wei Weicheng in their circles.

”By the way, Weicheng, it’s been a long time since you’ve acted. When do you plan to return to acting?” someone suddenly asked.

Hearing this, Zhou Yun pricked up her ears, curious about Wei Weicheng’s response.

Would he announce on the spot that he would star in ”Conspicuous and Trouble” next?

Wei Weicheng said, ”There’s been discussions, but nothing’s decided.”

”Come back soon, many people are waiting for your return.”

”Yeah, by the way, when are you and Xiao Yun going to find a suitable project to collaborate on? Our editorial department often says privately that if you two collaborate on a film, it would definitely be eye-catching.”

”Of course, if there’s a chance.” Wei Weicheng said, then glanced at Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun smiled.

Originally, Zhou Yun thought Wei Weicheng starring in ”Conspicuous and Trouble” was a done deal.

But within a few days, another hiccup occurred in this matter.

Wei Weicheng insisted on changing the lead actress, and it was one of his conditions for agreeing to act.

In other words, if they didn’t agree to change the lead actress, he wouldn’t act.

Zhou Yun heard about this from Song Chi and was a bit annoyed.

”Why is he demanding a change of lead actress now? Does he plan to bring his own people to do the film?”

”Probably not.” Song Chi sounded unsurprised, only somewhat tired, ”To be honest, I’m not surprised by Wei Weicheng’s request. Initially, Liu Jin was chosen mainly because she’s under our company’s contract, and Wu Chengbao wanted He Xuran to give her a hand, to make her a success. He Xuran, as long as the payment is right, doesn’t have too many demands from co-actors, but Wei Weicheng is different. His standards for acting are always high, regarding directors, co-actors, screenwriters, etc., all must meet his requirements. In short, he’s a bit of a pain, but his demands generally stem from his own high standards for the drama, so many times there’s nothing to say, and the producers usually adhere to his ideas.”

”If that’s the case, are you planning to replace Liu Jin?”

”If Wei Weicheng insists, we’ll have to replace Liu Jin. She’s indeed not a suitable match with him.”

”Does Wei Weicheng have someone in mind? Is he insisting on a top-tier actress?”

”Not really, he’s never been concerned about the counterpart’s fame or status, only about whether their acting is good and suitable.” Song Chi said, ”He also suggested he wanted you to act with him. I mentioned you’re about to film ’Killing Song’, so your schedule is already occupied.”

”If Wei Weicheng is willing to take this role, then it actually solves your immediate problems.”

”Yes, as long as he’s willing to act, Chestnut Video will surely agree.” Song Chi said, ”I’m now discussing with him about the actress choice, his standards are too high and unpredictable, in the end, his opinion will undoubtedly be the final word.”
