Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1428: Chapter 741: Want Fame, Fear of Losing It_3

”Ah?” Jin Su was a bit surprised when he heard that, ”So Brother Yicheng isn’t coming back this weekend? I was planning to invite you all to my party, it’s my birthday on Saturday.”

”That’s unfortunate, he won’t be back until next week.” Wen Xi said helplessly, ”Your birthday is this Saturday, are you planning to have the party outside or at home?”

Jin Su said, ”I’m planning to have it at home.”

Suddenly, he remembered something and turned to look at Zhou Yun.

”Xiao Yun, are you free this Saturday? Want to come to the party?”

Zhou Yun shook her head and said, ”Sorry, I have a shoot in Hainan over the weekend, so I won’t be there. Happy birthday in advance!”

She smiled and wished him well.

Jin Su sighed with a bit of disappointment.

”Alright, I’ll invite you next time when there’s an opportunity.”

After the meal, Zhou Yun bid them farewell and left first.

Not being very familiar with Jin Su and with other people at the table she was meeting for the first time, Zhou Yun and Wen Xi didn’t have much to chat about.

Zhou Yun drove home, and as soon as she entered, she received a message from Wen Xi: Are you home?

Zhou Yun replied: Yes, are you?

Wen Xi said: There were others just now, not convenient to talk, I’m coming over to your place, let’s have a drink, how about it? Yicheng isn’t home anyway, and I’ll be alone if I go back. Is it convenient for you?

Zhou Yun: Song Chi is filming, so it’s convenient, come over, I’ll find a movie, let’s watch a movie together.

Wen Xi: Alright.

Half an hour later, Wen Xi came over, carrying a bag of food.

The alcohol was bought by Zhou Yun earlier.

”Red wine, champagne, or whiskey?” Zhou Yun asked.

Wen Xi said, ”Whiskey, can I stay over tonight?”

”Of course.” Zhou Yun nodded, glancing at Wen Xi who was still wearing her stunning dress, ”Want to change into some of my clothes?”

Wen Xi nodded.

”Yes, I really need to.”

Zhou Yun went to find a set of casual clothes for Wen Xi to change into.

”Wearing high heels all day, my feet are swollen.” Wen Xi sat down, twisted her ankle, ”Xiao Yun, is this house bought by you or Song Chi?”

”This house was bought by Song Chi.” Zhou Yun said.

Wen Xi was a bit curious and asked, ”Have you bought a house for yourself?”

Zhou Yun shook her head.

”I haven’t bought one yet, mainly because there’s no need for it.” Zhou Yun said.

Wen Xi: ”It’s still good to have one for yourself, women should always have their own place.”

”I haven’t had the time to look for one, it’s not that I don’t want to buy, but because it’s not urgent, so it gets put off.” Zhou Yun said, ”If I find the right place, I definitely want to buy it.”

”It seems like you’re really happy with Song Chi, never had a fight, right?”

”Not really.” Zhou Yun shook her head.

Wen Xi sat on the sofa, her beautiful eyes gazing at Zhou Yun, soft and luminous.

”That’s great, sigh.” Wen Xi suddenly sighed softly.

”Sister Wen Xi, what’s wrong?” Zhou Yun asked.

”I had another fight with Jiang Yicheng.” Wen Xi said, ”I thought it was a problem we could solve, but in the end, it wasn’t solved.”

”What happened?”

”He wants to have a kid in the next couple of years, but I don’t really want to move into the next stage yet.” Wen Xi said, ”I’m afraid that once I get pregnant and have a child, there won’t be a place for me in the industry when I return.”

”How can that be?” Zhou Yun said, ”You’re sitting on the top seat of supermodels right now, who can take your place?”

”In our line of work, it’s really about youth. How many people can stay at the top at forty or fifty?” Wen Xi said, ”But, Jiang Yicheng has always wanted a kid, and I know that too, it’s not like I don’t want a child, I just hope he can wait for me for two more years.”

”So... when are you planning to have one?” Zhou Yun asked.

Wen Xi said, ”I’m preparing my own brand, and this is the time when I need to give it my all. If I get pregnant now, I really won’t be able to manage.”

”Yeah, that’s true.” Zhou Yun said, ”Talk to Brother Jiang properly and try to gain his understanding.”

Wen Xi smiled.

”By the way, what about you? When are you and Song Chi planning to have children?” she asked.

Zhou Yun said, ”We don’t have plans for that in the next few years. We’re both in the same situation as you are now, not really suitable to have a child. We can’t just have a child and then leave everything to a nanny.”

”Does Song Chi understand this?”

”Him? He hasn’t talked to me about these things, probably doesn’t want to pressure me.” Zhou Yun said, ”We’ll wait a few more years, at least I have to shoot ’Killing Song’ and the second part of ’Two Tigers’. If I get pregnant, I won’t be able to do those projects.”

”True, they’re all action movies.”

”Yeah.”

”Why aren’t the men the ones who get pregnant?” Wen Xi complained, ”It’s always the women whose careers get delayed.”

Zhou Yun smiled gently without saying a word.
