Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1426: Chapter 741: Craving Fame, Fearing Loss

Jin Su has been trying every possible way to make a name for himself and earn money over the past two years.

However, the competition in this industry is truly fierce.

Success isn’t something he can achieve just by trying everything he can think of.

Unlike others, Jin Su does have some background and connections.

As the junior disciple of the famous model Wen Xi, who has personally looked after him, even though Jin Su hasn’t become famous in the past two years, he has never lacked roles.

Unlike those students who graduated from acting schools and couldn’t land a proper role for half a year, Jin Su was fortunate enough to skip that phase of being a complete newbie without any access.

However, on one hand, Jin Su’s looks aren’t the ones with thick eyebrows and big eyes or the kind of handsome that is in vogue for leading male roles in current dramas. On the other hand, Jin Su doesn’t connect well with audiences. Although he hasn’t played a lead role, he has acted in several named roles, which have been broadcast, but the audience’s feedback has never been very positive.

Jin Su lacks acting talent and hasn’t undergone professional training, and his acting skills are really not impressive.

If he were someone self-aware and humble, at this point, he would either quietly hone his acting skills, change careers, or lower his expectations and have fewer unrealistic fantasies driven by greed.

But Jin Su isn’t that kind of person.

He wants to be famous and recognized, and he doesn’t acknowledge his shortcomings—or rather, he doesn’t care much about them.

They say he lacks acting skills? So many people without skills have become famous. How many current leading celebrities really have acting skills?

People outside the circle see famous celebrities with no skill and think they are bad.

People inside the circle have a different perspective.

In Jin Su’s eyes, as long as others can become famous despite bad acting and gain so many fans, why can’t he?

Jin Su, supported by the big tree that is Wen Xi, indeed received quite a bit of resources.

However, it’s still not enough.

Jin Su has always wanted to act in a film with Zhou Yun.

He knows that once he can act in a film with Zhou Yun, he will become famous.

For this reason, he has hinted to Wen Xi openly and implicitly many times, hoping that Wen Xi could bridge the gap.

During the previous preparation for ”Under the Grand Dress,” Jin Su also auditioned.

He thought he had a great advantage but unexpectedly didn’t even make the cut.

Now, Zhou Jianfeng is already a popular young star, even if not extremely famous, at least identifiable, unlike him, still a nobody.

So when Jin Su bumped into Zhou Yun today, his demeanor was immediately attentive and respectful.

Regarding Jin Su’s invitation to have dinner with his friends, Wen Xi turned to look at Zhou Yun.

She needed to see if Zhou Yun was willing.

Zhou Yun said, ”Is it convenient?”

”It’s convenient, convenient. They’ll be thrilled to have dinner with you,” Jin Su said happily right away, ”It’s really a coincidence.”

Jin Su was truly happy.

First, it was an opportunity to get to know Zhou Yun better, and second, it showed off in front of his friends.

Could just anyone invite Zhou Yun casually?

Jin Su’s friends all have some connections with the entertainment industry.

There are models and actors, but they’re all still new and obscure, not known by anyone.

After Zhou Yun and Wen Xi sat down, the atmosphere at the dining table noticeably changed, with hints of nervousness and restraint.

No one dared to speak, just exchanging glances.

Seeing this, Zhou Yun looked at Jin Su.

Jin Su immediately said, ”They’re all my friends; let me introduce you.”

After Zhou Yun and Wen Xi met them, they couldn’t remember the names of everyone at once.

Jin Su curiously asked, ”Sister Wen, Xiao Yun, did you just come from an event?”

Many might think that female celebrities dress dazzlingly even offwork, but Jin Su knows that Wen Xi rarely wears such eye-catching sequin dresses if she isn’t working.

Wen Xi said, ”We just came from an event. We were planning to find a place to grab some food and chat for a while; it was unexpected to bump into you.”

”Seems like my luck is good today,” Jin Su smiled, ”What are you eating?”

He handed over the menu.

Wen Xi opened the menu and placed it in front of Zhou Yun.

”Xiao Yun, take a look, see what you want to eat.”
