Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1427: Chapter 741: Want Fame, Fear of Losing It_2

Zhou Yun glanced at the menu and said, ”I’m not very hungry, I’ll just have the tuna sashimi and a glass of plum wine.”

Wen Xi raised her hand to call the waiter.

After ordering, Wen Xi’s gaze returned to Jin Su.

Just as she was about to speak, Jin Su asked Zhou Yun, ”Xiao Yun, did you just finish filming ’Moon Sinking at Sea’?”

Zhou Yun nodded, saying, ”It wrapped up last month.”

”You acted alongside Brother Chi in this drama, didn’t you enjoy it a lot?” Jin Su asked.

Zhou Yun: ”Yeah, it was quite enjoyable, it was rare to collaborate again.”

”Of course it’s enjoyable, someone like her who can work and be with her boyfriend at the same time, how could it not be enjoyable?”

An eerily sarcastic voice came from the corner.

Zhou Yun was stunned.

Jin Su was also taken aback.

They all looked at the girl in surprise.

”Chen Congcong, what are you talking about?” Jin Su asked, somewhat angrily.

He thought, he finally had a chance to have a meal with Zhou Yun, and it was such a chance encounter, he was trying to please her, and yet here she was causing trouble?

In fact, in this circle, there were quite a few people who were jealous, envious, or even resentful of Zhou Yun.

Not everyone could view another person’s success objectively and rationally.

Of course, there were very few like Chen Congcong who directly showed such an attitude in front of Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun herself was pondering one thing, had she ever encountered this girl sometime, unknowingly offending her.

As Zhou Yun was thinking, Jin Su said to her, ”Xiao Yun, don’t mind her, she’s just in a bad mood today, and didn’t mean what she said.”

Chen Congcong sneered, glared at Jin Su, picked up her bag, and stood up.

”Yes, I’m in a bad mood today, sorry for ruining your mood, I better leave first, avoid staying here making you unhappy.”

She said that, and left.

The others called out to her twice, but it was as if she hadn’t heard, she stormed off, leaving everyone puzzled, unsure of what she was thinking.

”What’s up with her?” one of their companions immediately muttered softly.

Zhou Yun also felt puzzled.

She really didn’t know this girl.

Jin Su said somewhat awkwardly, ”She... she probably behaved that way because of Li Rui.”

”Li Rui?” Zhou Yun looked at Jin Su in surprise.

She hadn’t expected to hear that name.

Jin Su said, ”She’s been secretly in love with Li Rui.”

Zhou Yun was somewhat bewildered.

What kind of luck is this?

Just came out for a meal, running into Jin Su was already unexpected, and then encountering a girl secretly in love with Li Rui.

Zhou Yun felt that the world isn’t supposed to be this small.

Is today not a good day to go out?

Seeing Zhou Yun’s displeased expression, Jin Su explained, ”Xiao Yun, sorry, I apologize on her behalf. Normally, she’s not like this, but she’s somehow infatuated with Li Rui. Ever since Li Rui and you had conflicts, she’s had a bias against you. I’ve explained to her many times that you definitely aren’t the type of person Li Rui says you are. But she’s fixated and only believes Li Rui, doesn’t trust our words. If I had known today I’d run into you, I wouldn’t have invited her.”

Zhou Yun calmly replied, ”It’s okay.”

Wen Xi sighed lightly in her heart.

She understood what Jin Su’s intentions were.

Wen Xi didn’t want Zhou Yun to be troubled because of Jin Su, but if Jin Su could use this opportunity to win Zhou Yun’s favor, Wen Xi would be happy to see it succeed.

However, Jin Su wasn’t very lucky.

This meal definitely left a bad impression on Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun didn’t want the incident to spoil the atmosphere.

So, after a little while, she decided to break the awkward atmosphere.

”It’s alright, by the way, do you guys often come to this place?” Zhou Yun casually chose a topic and asked.

Jin Su said, ”Occasionally, do you come here often?”

”No, it’s my first time here.” Zhou Yun replied with a smile, ”Sister Wen brought me here.”

”I only found out about this place after Sister Wen brought me here once.” Jin Su said, ”Oh right, Sister Wen, what happened to Yicheng? Isn’t he in Shanghai too?”

Wen Xi said, ”He flew out at noon, heading to London.”
