Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1415: Chapter 735: Xu Siyao’s Thoughts

”Zhou Yun is throwing a tantrum on Weibo again.”

The assistant said to Xu Siyao.

Xu Siyao had just finished recording a variety show.

”Siyao, you looked absolutely stunning today on the show. Once it airs, you’ll definitely amaze the audience,” a staff member from the show complimented.

Xu Siyao replied, ”Really? Is it that exaggerated?”

”Of course it is,” the staff member said, ”Siyao, you have no idea how many people love watching you because of your beauty.”

”Really? I thought everyone hated me,” Xu Siyao said, feigning helplessness.

”We always prefer the real you, unlike those celebrities who package themselves too perfectly.”

This was said right in front of Xu Siyao, seemingly hinting at something.

Xu Siyao smiled, got into the car with her assistant, preparing to leave.

Only then did she eagerly take out her phone and search Zhou Yun’s Weibo online.

”What’s up with Zhou Yun this time?” Xu Siyao asked.

The assistant replied, ”It’s still about Li Rui. Li Rui released chat records, accusing Zhou Yun of sabotaging her collaboration with Seapool Film and Television.”

Xu Siyao curled her lips.

”Chat records can be used as evidence? Haha,” Xu Siyao sneered, her words seemingly dissing Li Rui, but it was just a passing comment. Soon, Xu Siyao said, ”But causing some trouble for Zhou Yun means he’s got some skill.”

The assistant was surprised and asked, ”Sister Siyao, do you think Li Rui is lying?”

The assistant knew Xu Siyao’s temperament well—anything related to Zhou Yun was always Zhou Yun’s fault, whether she was right or wrong.

Why did Xu Siyao not blame Zhou Yun for this incident today?

Xu Siyao glanced at the assistant and laughed, ”What’s the matter? Do you really believe Zhou Yun set a trap for Li Rui? Haha, though I don’t like Zhou Yun, I understand her somewhat. Even if she doesn’t like Li Rui, she wouldn’t stoop to such tactics. Besides, do you think Seapool Film and Television had good intentions when they approached Li Rui? It was only because Zhou Yun took a liking to the script that they thought it was a potential blockbuster. After grabbing it, they realized it was just an indie art film script. Without Zhou Yun’s presence, it’s no surprise Seapool dropped it. In the end, Li Rui was foolish; he turned down Zhou Yun before signing with Seapool. If he had signed the contract, he wouldn’t have ended up empty-handed, offending both sides.”

The assistant said, ”So actually, this is Li Rui’s own problem. So many projects get canceled halfway through the process of turning into films and being released.”

Xu Siyao nodded, ”But no worries, Li Rui’s presence also gives Zhou Yun some trouble, which is great.”

Xu Siyao was happy whenever Zhou Yun was in trouble.

To Xu Siyao, her feelings toward Zhou Yun were actually quite complex.

On one hand, she disliked Zhou Yun and wanted to see her suffer. On the other hand, she didn’t want Zhou Yun to be truly defeated by some shady people—at the end of the day, Xu Siyao wanted to be the one to beat Zhou Yun herself. Until that happens, those trying to trouble Zhou Yun are mere clowns.

The assistant wasn’t actually aware of Xu Siyao’s deeper thoughts on this.
