Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1404: Chapter 730: Loyalty

Zhou Yun’s participation in the event had been announced early on, so many film fans came, hoping to catch a glimpse of Zhou Yun.

A lot of fans were waiting at the hotel entrance where Zhou Yun was staying.

When Zhou Yun stepped out of the hotel, a large group of enthusiastic fans immediately surrounded him, taking photos with cell phones and cameras.

Most of the fans attending this offline movie event genuinely liked Zhou Yun because of his films.

Some of them were holding movie DVDs or posters, hoping to get Zhou Yun’s autograph.

Seeing this, Zhou Yun stopped, moved everyone to the side away from blocking the hotel entrance, and patiently took photos and signed autographs with the fans, spending about twenty minutes to fulfill everyone’s wishes.

Zhou Yun smiled and said, ”I’ve heard this city has many places worth visiting. Since you’ve come all this way, don’t just stay at the hotel entrance. Take this opportunity to explore the city more.”

A fan said, ”But we just want to see you.”

”You want to see me, didn’t you just see me? What good does it do to see me several times?” Zhou Yun waved his hand, ”Just go to the cinema more to watch me.”

Zhou Yun bid farewell to the fans, got into the car, and set off to attend a media meet-and-greet event.

Liu Yun said, ”Sister Xiao Yun, the media interview later is a group interview.”

Zhou Yun nodded, ”Alright.”

Zhou Yun took off her sunglasses and took out her phone.

Just at that moment, Gu Huaichun sent a message asking: I have a script here, and I think you’re perfect for the female lead. Do you want to take a look at it?

Zhou Yun was somewhat surprised.

She replied: Sure, it’s not shooting this year, right? If it’s filming this year, I can’t fit it into my schedule.

Gu Huaichun: Don’t worry. If this film gets made, it won’t start filming until the end of next year or the year after. It’s still in the planning stages. I just think the script is great, and the female lead is very fitting for you.

Zhou Yun, hearing Gu Huaichun say this, was quite curious and asked: What kind of female lead would you think is particularly suited for me?

Gu Huaichun: The female lead is a poor but beautiful college student. The story revolves around a pair of lovers’ descent and entanglement in a relationship of passion and money.

Zhou Yun was a bit taken aback.

She’d rarely seen this kind of storyline in domestic scripts.

What film would dare to make this kind of subject matter now?

Talking about the passion between a man and a woman, the struggle of human nature.

It sounds like... it would be hard to pass censorship.

Zhou Yun was somewhat surprised and asked: Who will be directing this script? Is it a domestic production?

Gu Huaichun said: I don’t know yet. I fancy this script, and I want to act in it. I’ve already spoken to the company, and they’re evaluating it.

Zhou Yun said: I’m concerned the story might struggle to pass censorship.

Gu Huaichun said: I know, but the story is really fascinating, and I want to make an effort.

In the past year or so, Gu Huaichun had encountered a reputation crisis.

He still had high popularity, but in many people’s eyes, he was just an actor who could only do idol dramas with over-the-top acting skills.

Gu Huaichun certainly had some pent-up frustration.

He wanted to prove himself.

Zhou Yun was pleased to see that Gu Huaichun still had this ambition and wasn’t content with the status quo.

Having known Gu Huaichun for several years, he’d never asked her to act before. This time, Gu Huaichun took the initiative; Zhou Yun knew he must need her help.

Zhou Yun felt it was her duty and said: Okay, I’ll read the script first. As long as there are no issues, I’ll keep my schedule open for you.
