Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1433: Chapter 744: Unable to Power On (2)

Wei Weicheng was stunned for a while by Zhou Yun’s words.

”So according to what you’re saying, we don’t need to pursue quality anymore?”

”When did I ever say we don’t need to pursue quality? I’m just saying that as an actor, you can praise a good film with the highest compliments, but don’t look down on a so-called bad film with an air of superiority. You have no idea how many bad films are made by people who have put in their best effort, using the limited resources they have. Of course, they can’t compare with those capital giants, and they can’t produce luxurious scenes. Even their creativity and methods might be ordinary, or even inferior. You can criticize them for making a bad film, but there’s no need to outright look down on them.”

”Is Song Chi’s company out of money? Can’t afford to make some good films?”

”How do you think ’Mother’ was made?” Zhou Yun retorted, ”If Song Chi doesn’t make money from other projects, could he afford to make a film like ’Mother’ that other companies wouldn’t even touch? Do you think making this film is profitable?”

Wei Weicheng had nothing to say.

Zhou Yun, like a machine gun, rattled off these words, and after she finished, looking at Wei Weicheng’s speechless expression, she suddenly realized, maybe she was too agitated.

But to her surprise, despite her blunt words, Wei Weicheng’s face showed no signs of displeasure or anger.

He still looked at her with those slightly innocent and clean eyes, like a deer in a forest, looking at her gently.

”Sorry, we met for the first time today, and I seem to have said a bit too much. I hope you don’t mind.”

”It’s okay, I like chatting with people like that,” Wei Weicheng said, ”Song Chi is like you, always straightforward, no wonder you two get along.”

Zhou Yun smiled.

”Of course, I still don’t agree with you,” Wei Weicheng said seriously, ”I know everyone has their own reasons for doing things, but I don’t think reasons can stop us from making judgments.”

”I understand,” Zhou Yun nodded, ”I know what you mean.”

In fact, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

Everyone has their own thoughts and views.

”Are you really going to act in ’Conspicuous and Trouble’?” Zhou Yun asked curiously.

Wei Weicheng nodded.

”It’s been a long time since I acted. I don’t want to be forgotten by everyone.”

”How could that be?” Zhou Yun said.

Wei Weicheng smiled faintly, ”Nothing is impossible.”

Zhou Yun couldn’t find more words to comfort Wei Weicheng.

In fact, over the past two years, in the industry, Zhou Yun really hadn’t heard many people mention Wei Weicheng.

Every time people list male actors, it’s always Song Chi, Gu Huaichun, Chen Jing, He Xuran, and them.

In this line of work, if you’re away for too long, maybe a small group will hope for your return, but for most people, they’ll just subconsciously assume you’re not coming back.

However, Zhou Yun also felt that Wei Weicheng didn’t need such comfort.

Just like Zhou Yun clearly knew, if Wei Weicheng said he wanted to come back to acting, those companies that had forgotten him would be the first to hand him a script.

Seeing Wei Weicheng at the gathering organized by Wen Xi was a pleasant surprise.

Zhou Yun exchanged contact information with Wei Weicheng.

Besides Wei Weicheng, there were some other friends too.

Wen Xi said, ”I’m about to go abroad for a few months, won’t have much time to come back, so I’m inviting everyone to gather before I leave.”

”Isn’t Fashion Week starting soon?” a friend of Wen Xi asked, ”Do you have any shows this time?”

”Yeah, I have an opening and a closing show,” Wen Xi said, ”apart from that, just attending some shows.”

”Will Zhou Yun attend?” someone immediately asked.

Zhou Yun said, ”I will, I’m representing two brands, so I have to attend the shows.”

”Ah, I really want to go too, but I have to start filming next week, no time,” an actress said.

”That’s a shame.”

”Yeah.”

Wen Xi said, ”No worries, it’s every year.”

”Oh, right, Xiao Yun, that Li Rui who bashed you online earlier, any updates? How come he disappeared without even apologizing?” a fashion magazine editor asked curiously.
