Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1043: Chapter 606: On-Site Revision

Zhou Yun was curious about which American company wanted Xu Caiqin to take charge of film purchasing operations in the Asian Region.

However, Kang Xin and Xu Caiqin didn’t say anything, and it wasn’t appropriate for her to ask.

”Has ’Chen Yin’ not been approached by a platform in the United States for the rights?” Xu Caiqin suddenly asked.

Kang Xin said, ”Someone contacted us, but the offer was too low, so I refused.”

A suspense drama like ’Chen Yin’ usually sells well worldwide due to its genre, especially with a famous director and a prominent star as its leads. Moreover, Zhou Yun is no longer an unknown newcomer in America.

Kang Xin certainly wouldn’t sell it cheaply.

In the evening, Zhou Yun returned to the hotel, where Song Chi would be staying with her for the night, leaving the next morning.

Before sleeping, Zhou Yun was still pondering over some matters, unable to fall asleep for a long time.

Song Chi, however, fell asleep quickly, drifting into dreams.

When Zhou Yun snapped back to reality, Song Chi was already asleep.

She quietly got out of bed, intending to go to the bathroom, planning to sleep once she returned.

...

”Ugh—”

Yuk Chu retched again.

With one hand against the wall of the stall and the other covering her neckline, she dry heaved for a long time, only managing to bring up some sour liquid.

Her pregnancy symptoms were more intense than she had imagined, causing her to frequently leave the set.

Yuk Chu felt a deep sense of apology.

Although no one said anything, the impatient expressions on their faces and the looks they gave her seemed to say, how could this female artist be so troublesome?

Because Yuk Chu kept needing to use the bathroom, a shoot planned for two hours dragged on to four and a half hours.

By the time they wrapped up, it was already eight o’clock in the evening.

”I’m sorry for delaying everyone’s time,” Yuk Chu bowed to the crew.

The on-set director said, ”It’s okay.”

But Yuk Chu could clearly feel the dissatisfaction on others’ faces.

Having their work schedule delayed would upset anyone.

Yuk Chu felt apologetic, but apologies couldn’t help; physical reactions wouldn’t change because of personal feelings.

She headed to the bathroom, and as she reached the entrance, she overheard two people talking inside.

”Why was Yuk Chu going to the bathroom so frequently today? Is something wrong with her health?”

”I don’t know, it seems like a health issue. Otherwise... oh my God, could she be pregnant?”

”Pregnant?”

”Right, do you remember Yingying? When she was pregnant, she also kept going to the bathroom, didn’t she?”

”Now that you mention it, yes.”

”My god, who’s Yuk Chu’s boyfriend now?”

”Does she have one? After breaking up with Yin Zhou, I haven’t heard of her being with anyone else.”

”It couldn’t be Yin Zhou’s, right?”

”They broke up ages ago, how could it be his? You’re funny. Maybe she secretly started dating someone else and accidentally got pregnant?”

”Who knows? Anyway, these celebrities’ lives are all messy. If you weren’t in this industry, you wouldn’t understand how disillusioned we are, seeing those perfect people in front of cameras, but they just fall apart off screen. I’ve stopped believing in those with just good looks.”

”It can’t be that bad, don’t let them ruin our mood when seeing handsome guys.”

...

Listening to the conversation of the two ladies in the restroom made Yuk Chu feel uncomfortable, even somewhat angry and embarrassed.

But she couldn’t say anything, because what they were speculating about was true.

She also felt a bit panicked.

She hadn’t made this public yet, but today someone had already guessed. What if this news leaked out?

Yuk Chu frowned with concern.

Upon returning, she immediately went to discuss this matter with Zhou Lan.

Zhou Lan asked, ”Are you and Yin Zhou planning to go public?”

”He doesn’t plan to continue in this industry anymore. Even if we go public, Yuehai would just ban him again, but it wouldn’t practically affect him,” Yuk Chu said, ”He left it up to me, but I haven’t decided yet.”

”Do you plan to get married?” Zhou Lan inquired again.

Yuk Chu said, ”He wants to marry me.”

”It’s not what he wants, it’s about you. Do you want to get married?” Zhou Lan asked.

Yuk Chu hesitated a bit.

”I’m afraid he only wants to marry me because I’m carrying this child.”

”Yuk Chu, clear your head. If it weren’t for this child, you two wouldn’t be facing this issue,” Zhou Lan stated, ”Now isn’t the time to consider his feelings and attitude. First, you need to think about yourself. Look into my eyes and tell me, if you marry him, do you want to?”
