Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1022: Chapter 598: Gediyah’s Scheme (3)

Sedar nodded.

”I also want to work with Song Chi.” Elizabeth suddenly interrupted them, saying, ”But Song Chi never goes abroad to film. We all thought he wasn’t willing to make English films.”

Zhou Yun: ”No, it’s just that his schedule is quite tight, making it hard to find time.”

”Sigh.” Elizabeth nodded, saying, ”There are too few famous actors from China, and everyone is looking to cast you few, no wonder your schedules are so hectic.”

Zhou Yun didn’t expect Elizabeth to understand it this way.

Zhou Yun was both amused and helpless.

Yet, Elizabeth’s understanding isn’t entirely unreasonable. From her perspective, it’s true that there aren’t many internationally famous actors from China.

Especially among the younger actors.

Zhou Yun felt that Zhou Lan’s international route was the right choice. Regardless of how others choose, Wang Jing and others could indeed take the international path.

They don’t have the burdens that Song Chi carries, allowing them to choose roles based on their abilities and ideas, without worrying about leading or supporting roles.

Be it film or television.

Zhou Yun smiled as she chatted with them about popular Chinese films.

At this moment, Gediyah arrived.

She seemed to have forgotten her dislike and resistance towards Zhou Yun, joining them with a full cheerful face, asking, ”What are you three talking about? Laughing so happily?”

Zhou Yun fell silent upon seeing Gediyah.

Elizabeth’s smile faded a bit when she saw her, saying, ”We’re talking about Chinese films. Gediyah, weren’t you playing with Qiqi and the others? Why aren’t you with them anymore?”

Gediyah said, ”They are planning to sing a song together later. I’m not interested in singing, so I came to find you all.”

Sedar chuckled, saying, ”I remember you quite like singing, how come you’re not interested this time?”

”Singing with Qiqi and the others isn’t fun.” Gediyah said, ”What’s wrong? You’ve made a new friend, Zhou Yun, and you’re unwilling to play with me?”

”Of course not, it’s just that we don’t want you to say anything inappropriate again.” Elizabeth directly ”reminded” and ”warned” Gediyah.

Gediyah smirked, saying, ”Elizabeth, I’ve thought it through. It’s not like Zhou Yun stole him away. Why should I be angry with Zhou Yun because of that woman? Zhou Yun, I apologize. My attitude earlier was bad, I shouldn’t have used such excessive sarcasm to hurt you. Please forgive me.”

Zhou Yun looked at Gediyah’s sudden apology in surprise, but in her mind, the phrase ”kindness without cause—either a fraud or a theft” surfaced.

”Gediyah, are you sincere?” Zhou Yun directly asked.

Gediyah nodded, ”Of course I’m sincere.”

Zhou Yun smiled.

”If you’re sincere, I can certainly accept your apology.”

In other words, if she wasn’t sincere, she wouldn’t accept it.

Zhou Yun didn’t believe Gediyah was sincere.

So, Gediyah was trying to win her over, lowering her guard, and then using something to embarrass her in front of everyone?

Zhou Yun’s face smiled radiantly, but her guard was up even more.

Gediyah, such a woman, was somewhat like a serpent.

Zhou Yun could only keep her distance.

This wasn’t her home turf either; she couldn’t handle things as she could domestically.

So, no matter how Gediyah chatted with them, Zhou Yun always protected her wine glass, not letting anyone get even a little chance to touch it.

She was really afraid of being drugged.

Who knows what kind of demons and devils were lurking at this party?

Gediyah suddenly said to Elizabeth, ”Elizabeth, why haven’t we seen Daniel tonight?”

Elizabeth said, ”Him?”

Her face showed a look of confusion. After Gediyah’s reminder, she realized that Daniel hadn’t appeared for quite a while.

Gediyah said, ”How could it be? He’s the host tonight, yet he hasn’t been entertaining the guests, sneaking off to rest instead.”

Elizabeth took out her phone and called Daniel, but no one answered.

”What’s the matter? He didn’t answer the phone?”

Elizabeth said, ”Maybe the music is too loud, and he didn’t hear it ringing.”

”Doesn’t he always keep his phone with him, never leaving it?” Gediyah said.

”Qiqi!” Gediyah suddenly caught hold of a woman with pink hair passing by, asking, ”Have you seen Daniel?”
