Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1002: Chapter 593: Elizabeth Seren and Gediyah Lawrence_3

”I...of course I’m interested; I’m not a saint,” Zhou Yun said.

”But since we’re new here, we actually don’t understand these game rules yet,” Zhou Lan said. ”So, what I really want is to take this opportunity to understand the entire Oscar campaign process and the rules of the game, so that when you have a better chance in the future, we won’t miss the opportunity because we don’t understand the rules.”

Zhou Yun knew Zhou Lan was right.

”So, Sister Lan, what do you want to do?” Zhou Yun asked.

Zhou Lan said, ”Take a shot.”

Zhou Yun understood Zhou Lan’s idea.

”Sister Lan, I understand, I agree with you.”

”Xiao Yun, this will require a lot of money,” Zhou Lan said with some embarrassment, ”And Paimon definitely won’t want to invest much, or even plan to invest anything at all, and Chengqian Entertainment is even less likely.”

Zhou Yun understood what Zhou Lan meant.

”Sister Lan, how much money is needed, give me a plan, a final number,” Zhou Yun said. ”Let me think about it first and then give you an answer, okay?”

Zhou Lan laughed, nodded, and said okay.

For Zhou Yun now, money is not an issue at all; she has made a lot of money these past two years, and even if she stopped working now and left this line of business, this money would be enough to sustain her well for a lifetime.

But that doesn’t mean she doesn’t care about money and spend it recklessly.

That night, Zhou Yun and Zhou Lan didn’t leave until the early morning.

The streets of New York in November were so cold they made your feet chilly.

Zhou Yun wrapped a thick coat over her dress, but this coat couldn’t fend off the cold very well.

While waiting for the car, Zhou Yun moved her feet back and forth to warm herself up a bit.

People gradually left, while others whose cars hadn’t arrived returned indoors to wait.

Suddenly, an exasperated voice came from behind.

”What is Elizabeth thinking? Inviting not just one but two!”

It was Gediyah’s voice.

Zhou Yun stood at a forward edge position, and Gediyah didn’t see her at first.

It wasn’t until Zhou Yun turned to glance at her that Gediyah recognized the person standing by the roadside waiting for a car was the one she despised, Zhou Yun.

Gediyah rolled her eyes directly.

Zhou Yun did not react impulsively to cause a scene; she just looked at the other person coldly without saying anything, her expression fully showing her attitude.

Gediyah’s assistant was a young girl with black-framed glasses.

She said to Gediyah, ”Gediyah, is Elizabeth deliberately going against you?”

”What?”

”She clearly knows you don’t like Asians, yet she insists on inviting Asians to parties you’ll attend, doesn’t she?” The assistant said. ”If she really considered you a friend, she definitely wouldn’t do this.”

Gediyah gave her assistant a cold look, saying, ”Peiqi, the friendship between Elizabeth and me doesn’t need your meddling.”

The assistant named Peiqi turned pale.

Zhou Yun didn’t expect to witness a drama outside and couldn’t help but chuckle.

But this chuckle seemed to anger Gediyah, making her feel humiliated.

Gediyah suddenly snapped, ”What are you laughing at? Bitch?”

Zhou Yun stared at her, shocked.

If Gediyah hadn’t directly attacked Zhou Yun before, this ”bitch” was a clear declaration of war.

Zhou Yun looked into Gediyah’s eyes and said, ”Only a bitch would call someone a bitch right off the bat.”

Zheng Xiaojue didn’t expect Zhou Yun to clap back immediately and so decisively, without leaving any room.

On the other hand, Zheng Xiaojue found Zhou Yun’s retort particularly satisfying.

Exactly!

Who did Gediyah think she was? Calling Sister Xiao Yun a bitch right away?

Zheng Xiaojue burned with anger upon hearing those words.

If her English were good enough, she would have retaliated with a cutting remark.

Gediyah didn’t expect Zhou Yun to fight back so forcefully, leaving her stunned and embarrassed.

In her view, as a world-renowned actress, this Asian woman didn’t regard her at all?!

At that moment, the car to pick up Zhou Yun arrived.

The headlights swept over them.

The car stopped in front of Zhou Yun and the others.

Zheng Xiaojue swiftly stepped forward to open the car door and said to Zhou Yun, ”Sister Xiao Yun, let’s not bother with people like this, let’s just go back.”
