Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1019: Chapter 597: Party Scene (Part 2)

Suddenly, a handsome man walked over.

”Baby, is this Zhou Yun you’ve been talking about?”

Zhou Yun looked up at the man, and at first glance, she felt he wasn’t someone who would play by the rules, his eyes were electric.

”Daniel, let me introduce you, Zhou Yun, a Chinese actress,” Elizabeth said to the man, ”She’s my good friend.”

”I know, I’ve been hearing about her quite a bit these past few days.” Daniel’s eyes were fixed on Zhou Yun, with a very serious gaze, fully focused on her, he said, ”Hello, I’m Daniel.”

Zhou Yun smiled and called out Daniel’s name, then turned to Elizabeth and said, ”Your boyfriend is handsome.”

Elizabeth laughed and said, ”Your boyfriend Song Chi is handsome too.”

The two women exchanged knowing smiles.

Elizabeth then looked at Cristina and asked, ”Did you two already know each other?”

”Yes,” Zhou Yun nodded, ”We met at a film festival earlier, I didn’t expect to run into her at your party today, such a coincidence, so you guys are also friends.”

Elizabeth said, ”Cristina and I worked on a film together before, haven’t you seen it?”

Zhou Yun indeed hadn’t seen it, and suddenly felt a bit awkward.

”What’s it called? I’ll catch up on it later,” Zhou Yun used a common Chinese expression.

But Elizabeth and Cristina apparently didn’t know what ”catch up” meant, and both showed a puzzled and confused expression.

”What does ’catch up’ mean?” Elizabeth asked.

Zhou Yun had to explain it in simpler terms.

Elizabeth showed a sudden understanding expression, ”Oh, that’s what it means.”

At this moment, new guests arrived.

Elizabeth said to Zhou Yun, ”I need to greet others, you have fun on your own for now, I’ll introduce you to my friends later.”

Zhou Yun nodded and said okay, ”Go ahead with your things.”

Elizabeth left first.

Daniel remained there, his gaze still on Zhou Yun.

Zhou Yun didn’t quite like his gaze, so she asked directly, ”Daniel, shouldn’t you be with Elizabeth greeting the guests?”

Daniel smirked slightly and said, ”No need, besides, with a beautiful woman like you here, why would I want to leave?”

Zhou Yun was immediately disgusted.

She looked at Daniel and said, ”You should direct your chivalry towards Elizabeth.”

Daniel was taken aback.

He didn’t seem to expect Zhou Yun to reject him so directly.

Zhou Yun said, ”Even though you’re handsome, I’m not into your type, bye.”

With that, she waved her hand and turned to leave.

”Hey, Zhou Yun,” Daniel suddenly called out to her.

Zhou Yun stopped, turned around, and looked at Daniel, using her eyes to ask what else he wanted.

Daniel said, ”Stay away from Elizabeth.”

”Why?” Zhou Yun asked directly.

Daniel’s attitude seemed to change in an instant, as if his infatuation turned into hostility towards Zhou Yun, the reason behind this Zhou Yun couldn’t figure out.

Daniel shrugged lazily and said, ”After all, this isn’t a place for you Chinese people, if you’re around Elizabeth, it might cause those who dislike your kind to distance from her.”

Zhou Yun sneered.

”Are you talking about Gediyah?”

Daniel laughed even colder, ”Gediyah is nothing.”

Zhou Yun was stunned.

If Daniel wasn’t talking about Gediyah, what did he mean?

Zhou Yun hesitated while observing Daniel’s expression, trying to discern more.

Daniel, however, seemed unwilling to say more, turning to chat and laugh with others instead.

Zhou Yun fell into deep thought.

Cristina noticed and comforted Zhou Yun, ”Don’t take what he says to heart, Daniel’s words never go through any filter, people generally don’t like him much.”

Zhou Yun asked, ”But he’s Elizabeth’s boyfriend, why would Elizabeth like him?”

Cristina shrugged with a mysterious air.

Zhou Yun quickly dismissed Daniel’s words.

No matter how wrong he was, she was invited by Elizabeth tonight, not here uninvited, she wanted to enjoy the atmosphere.

But soon Zhou Yun realized she might have underestimated the so-called ”party.”

To be precise, it turned out the stories from those American shows weren’t entirely fictional or exaggerated.

When Zhou Yun went to the bathroom, she passed a corridor and stumbled upon a couple doing that kind of thing in a slightly ajar room.

She was completely taken aback.

This kind of performance art hardly happens in such situations back home.

She hurriedly went to find a bathroom.

Suddenly, she heard a voice.

”Have you prepared what I asked for?”

The voice came from inside the bathroom.

Upon hearing someone inside, Zhou Yun immediately put down her hand that was about to knock on the door.

She crossed her arms, waiting for the person inside to come out.

It was unclear if the person inside was on a call or what, and continued, ”Tonight I must make her embarrassed in front of everyone, let them see how wanton she is!”

Hearing this, Zhou Yun instinctively furrowed her brows.

Who is in there? What are they planning to do?

Just then, the sound of flushing came from inside.

Zhou Yun immediately backed up a few steps, hiding behind a corner. After hearing the door open, she waited a second before pretending to just walk by, rounding the corner and facing the person who came out.

But Zhou Yun didn’t expect the person to be Gediyah.
