Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1034: Chapter 601: New Play (Part 3)

”Don’t you trust me?” Song Chi asked softly, with a smile.

Zhou Yun said, ”I trust you, I just don’t really trust in the concept of forever. Forever doesn’t exist.”

Song Chi kissed behind Zhou Yun’s sensitive ear, ”It always exists for me.”

Zhou Yun felt ticklish and hurriedly pulled back.

But Song Chi pursued further, unwilling to let it go.

Another bout of playful teasing.

...

How many people have promised forever to Zhou Yun, pledged eternal vows?

The faces of those people have already faded in Zhou Yun’s memory.

Zhou Yun has never been purely hurt in a romantic relationship, but naturally, she doesn’t dare to fully trust in the elusive notion of love.

She knows it exists, but she also knows it’s unpredictable, not even as solid as a sculpture.

Love is just like a gust of wind, when it rises, the entire world sings its melody, but when it ends without a trace, you can’t even catch a fragment of it.

Zhou Yun treasures the sweetness and happiness of being together with Song Chi at this moment, and she naturally hopes this sweetness and happiness can continue.

But, life is full of uncertainties.

She just habitually prepares for the worst result, so when it actually happens, she won’t be too surprised.

...

Although Yuk Chu is pregnant, she still has to continue working on the jobs she accepted before.

No jumping around, thankfully the upcoming work doesn’t involve vigorous movements.

Zhou Yun waited for several days, and when she asked again, Yuk Chu still hadn’t talked to Yin Zhou.

Yuk Chu said, ”I’ve been quite busy lately, haven’t had time to talk to him about this.”

Zhou Yun did not expose the truth that Yuk Chu is actually hesitant to frankly tell Yin Zhou.

Even with Yuk Chu’s initial confidence, she still isn’t entirely certain that Yin Zhou would willingly be the child’s father.

Facts are facts, and attitudes are attitudes.

Now, there are even more troubling issues for Yuk Chu.

When she signed with Chengqian Entertainment, Zhou Lan had lined up several films for her, all scheduled in the later period.

But now with Yuk Chu suddenly pregnant, as the belly becomes prominent five or six months down the road, it can’t be concealed by styling. What should be done?

The films obviously cannot be made.

The production could possibly delay for Yuk Chu, but that’s quite difficult as the other actors and crew were booked in advance; suddenly changing schedules would be hard to coordinate, very complex.

Or Yuk Chu could hastily resign, giving the crews time to find a substitute actress.

Zhou Lan held two meetings with her team, and after probing several film crews, decided to resign from two films.

Only one film remained, set to start filming next month, when Yuk Chu’s figure hasn’t dramatically changed yet.

This situation, of course, angered two film teams greatly; replacing a lead actor at the last minute is tough for any crew.

To compensate the crews, Zhou Lan leveraged her connections, contacted many agents, and under her guidance, one of the films eventually found Meng Ran to fill the role, but that’s another story.

In short, due to Yuk Chu’s unexpected pregnancy, many work plans were affected, and had to be adjusted anew.

Zhou Yun suddenly thought of herself.

In the future, if she truly wants to have a child, careful planning must be made, otherwise, too many things will be delayed.

Yuk Chu’s pregnancy news finally leaked out.

Even at this time, Yuk Chu still hadn’t talked with Yin Zhou.

Zhou Lan solemnly said to Yuk Chu, ”Chuchu, if you don’t talk to Yin Zhou about this soon, he might hear about your pregnancy from someone else.”

Only then did Yuk Chu grit her teeth and make a call to Yin Zhou.

The latter had already returned home.

The call lasted half an hour.

Yuk Chu dominated the conversation throughout.

Yin Zhou, you shouldn’t feel burdened. I know this child was an accident, not in our plan. I just feel I must tell you this, and I know you’re exhausted and have no extra energy to deal with this now, don’t worry, I’ll manage the child myself...

Yuk Chu spoke densely and quickly.

She didn’t realize, as she rattled off a long list, she wouldn’t give Yin Zhou a chance to interrupt, fearing to hear his impatient refusal or his cold voice.

In the end, Yuk Chu had nothing more to say and fell silent.
