Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 1026: Chapter 599: Relationships (Part 3)

Leon Bruchi isn’t an actor, nor is he in the entertainment industry, but he’s indeed a good friend of his, which is why he was surprised to hear Leon Bruchi’s name from He Wenyun’s mouth.

”He’s pursuing me, wanting me to be his girlfriend. I’ve clearly rejected him several times, but he still won’t stop pestering me,” He Wenyun said. ”So I want to ask you to help tell him not to bother me anymore.”

Daniel looked at He Wenyun in shock.

He Wenyun’s request truly caught him off guard.

”Do you know what Leon’s family does?”

Implying that Daniel thought He Wenyun was at a disadvantage for rejecting Leon.

He Wenyun said, ”I know, but, Daniel, I don’t value these things.”

Daniel said, ”Many women would love to be favored by a member of the Bruchi family.”

”But I’m not among those women,” He Wenyun said. ”One of our Chinese actresses once said something I admire: we don’t need to marry into a wealthy family, we ourselves are the wealthy family.”

Daniel was even more astonished.

But if you looked closely, you’d see that Daniel’s eyes lit up with an interest in He Wenyun.

Even Daniel himself might not have realized it.

”Are all Chinese actresses this wealthy?”

”Of course,” He Wenyun said. ”Our market is no smaller than yours.”

Daniel chuckled and said, ”But you don’t know the foundation of the Bruchi family.”

”China has no shortage of wealthy and influential families either,” He Wenyun smiled calmly, ”And there are plenty of rich men like Leon pursuing me.”

Daniel: ”You are a very proud woman.”

”If I weren’t proud, how would I have come to the United States to make movies?” He Wenyun said. ”Daniel, even though you’re not as obvious as Gediyah, you actually look down on us foreigners a bit, don’t you?”

Daniel immediately raised his hands, feigning innocence, and said, ”I swear, I absolutely don’t, I absolutely support equality at birth.”

He Wenyun laughed and said, ”You can deny it, but I don’t mind it as much as you think, Daniel. I know you’re not as casual and nonchalant as you appear. I’ve always thought you’re one of the most underrated young male actors in the United States. Maybe the American film companies think you only suit playing handsome guys in big commercial productions to make female audiences scream or starring in romance movies to indulge everyone in fantasies of dating you. But I’ve seen many of your films. You actually have pursuits of your own. No matter how clichéd the role is, you infuse your understanding and creativity into it.”

Daniel was stunned.

He never expected to hear such words from a Chinese woman.

Daniel and Elizabeth are a famous couple in Hollywood.

Because they are both very famous, they are big celebrities. But Daniel and Elizabeth’s situations are different. Elizabeth was discovered early on for her talent and ability, and with her unique charm, she became the leading lady for many big directors. Though Daniel is handsome, he hasn’t had Elizabeth’s luck of meeting a producer or director who believes he can act in art films. Every person who approaches him is attracted to his looks and celebrity aura.

In almost every movie Daniel stars in, he is shirtless.

The reason is simple: according to the film company’s surveys, many female audiences love seeing him show skin on screen.

Sexy, handsome.

These are the labels on Daniel.

But among all the voices, He Wenyun said he is an actor with aspirations — Daniel was somewhat bewildered and dazed, so much that he was silent for quite a while before saying, ”Do you really think so?”

”Isn’t it?” He Wenyun looked at Daniel with great conviction, ”Your charm is far more than just your physique and face.”

...

Zhou Yun was resting by the window, but he didn’t expect to see Daniel and He Wenyun strolling outside.

Of course, taking a walk together is nothing much, but being a lone man and woman inevitably stirs imagination.

What made Zhou Yun feel even more unbelievable was Daniel; just fifteen minutes ago, he had upset Elizabeth because he hadn’t clarified matters with Cristina, and now he was walking with He Wenyun?

Is Daniel clueless, or what?

What Zhou Yun found even more intriguing was that both women around Daniel knew her.

In such an environment, it was hard for Zhou Yun to find a few people she knew, and out of the few she did, all of them had inexplicable ties with Daniel...
