Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 800: Chapter 526: Overall Power_2

She was a bit surprised when she saw them getting out of the car together.

”Sister Xiao Yun, Jianfeng, you’re back so late.”

Zhou Yun nodded at Guan Siya and said, ”Are you going out this late?”

Guan Siya said, ”I’m going for a run.”

”Good habit.”

Zhou Yun nodded and went into the hotel.

Zhou Jianfeng followed a moment later, but was pulled aside by Guan Siya who whispered, ”What did Sister Xiao Yun take you to do?”

Zhou Jianfeng wasn’t sure what to say, whether he should say anything, he vaguely explained, ”Something came up, you go run, I’ll take a shower first, it’s too hot, I’m all sweaty.”

Guan Siya saw that Zhou Jianfeng was unwilling to say, pouted, ”So secretive.”

Zhou Jianfeng smiled helplessly and walked away.

After watching the two of them go inside, Guan Siya’s eyes shifted, and she took out her phone to send her agent a message: Tonight Zhou Yun took Zhou Jianfeng out, they just returned to the hotel, not sure what they went to do.

The agent replied instantly: Don’t get involved with Zhou Yun’s affairs, don’t mess around, it will backfire on you and no one will save you.

Guan Siya frowned at the agent’s words.

She didn’t expect the agent to say so bluntly that no one would save her.

It seems Zhou Yun truly makes people wary.

Guan Siya thought again about ”Deep Sea,” she was now an artist under Yuehai. She had heard that previously Zhou Yun had fallen out with her company, and as a result, to mend fences with Zhou Yun, her company had spent the past year continually sending scripts to Zhou Yun, letting her choose freely, and finally, one came together — ”Deep Sea” immediately became Yuehai’s most valued project.

She could have acted in this film, but...

Guan Siya still hasn’t figured out why, when Zhou Yun disagreed with Cheng Shenlv playing the role, she also rejected her.

This made Guan Siya very angry because she clearly missed a very important opportunity for herself.

What surprised Guan Siya even more was that the next day, at the set, Zhou Yun and Zhou Jianfeng were laughing and chatting.

This was hardly ever seen normally.

Usually, Zhou Jianfeng either gets straight to acting or sits alone in a corner, or directly returns to the rest area. But today he was able to talk and exchange words with Zhou Yun calmly.

Even though he was a bit nervous when acting with Zhou Yun, after three or four NG scenes he’d gradually find his footing and smoothly pass.

Everyone could see that Zhou Jianfeng’s state had greatly improved just by going out with Zhou Yun for one night.

Some privately joked that Zhou Yun had taken Zhou Jianfeng out to eat some magical elixir, making him suddenly seem like he had opened up his energy channels.

The filming of ”Under the Grand Dress” was back on track.

Perhaps due to Zhou Yun and Zeng Lili creating a pressure of performance for everyone, most actors had no basic issues with remembering lines.

The most there might be would be issues with their state.

But this can’t be helped for actors, as actors are human, humans are emotional creatures, so naturally, there will be emotional ups and downs.

Yet Ning Yufeng is a director who is very good at inspiring actors and stirring up their emotional states.

Some directors explain scenes just by saying, ”I need a XXX emotional state,” and actors strive to align with that emotional state.

But some directors are more skillful, they tell stories or say a few words to stir up the actors’ emotions, guiding them into a certain scene.

Even with Zhou Yun, Ning Yufeng would occasionally mention that a certain part didn’t match his imagination.

He wouldn’t directly veto Zhou Yun’s performance; instead, he would discuss with Zhou Yun in a collaborative way on which direction, which state was more suitable.

Typically, Ning Yufeng would let Zhou Yun do a version according to her thoughts and then one according to his, and they would sit behind the monitor to replay, compare, discuss, and decide which direction to follow.

Zhou Yun enjoyed Ning Yufeng’s directorial style, it was enlightening for her.

She truly feared Ning Yufeng, as a young director, wouldn’t make any demands of her.

Because Gu Huaichun had told her that sometimes when filming, he encounters directors who praise every scene he performs without offering any feedback, which makes him feel rather uneasy and unsure of himself.
