Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 792: Chapter 523: This Dispute (Part 3)

Zhou Yun had no idea there was still so much story behind ”Deep Sea”; she was just busy finding time to meet with the director and screenwriter of ”Deep Sea” to discuss how to shoot the rest of the movie. Of course, Yuk Chu was also part of the meeting.

Although Yuk Chu had not yet signed a contract, her selection was a done deal. She was waiting for her current contract with her agency to expire before signing with Chengqian Entertainment and then signing the contract to appear in the movie.

That day, after filming ”Under the Grand Dress,” Zhou Yun went to the dressing room to remove her makeup and prepare to rest at the hotel.

Suddenly, a commotion came from outside in the hallway.

Zhou Yun had no idea what had happened, and she stepped out with curiosity, only to find a bunch of people crowding around, not knowing what was going on.

”What happened?” Zhou Yun walked over and pulled someone to ask.

On seeing Zhou Yun, the person said, ”Someone stole something.”

Zhou Yun was stunned.

The last thing she expected was a theft.

The woman trapped in the middle had a round face. Her face flushed red, unable to leave due to being held back, she kept saying, ”Don’t stop me, if you don’t have any evidence then don’t talk nonsense.”

Zhou Yun couldn’t help but ask with some confusion, ”Who is this person?”

She didn’t recognize the person at all; it didn’t seem like someone she had seen before.

”She’s an extra brought in today, sneaked into several rooms and stole stuff, and then got caught.”

At this moment, someone else came over.

”Let’s not crowd around, we’ve already called the police, they will be here soon.”

At this point, the round-faced woman trapped in the middle panicked.

”Let me go! It was just a moment of folly, I admit I was wrong, I haven’t taken anything!” The woman, frantic, had her eyes red-rimmed, looking like she was about to burst into tears.

Zhou Yun wasn’t particularly interested in how things would turn out, so she went back to her dressing room and continued to remove her makeup.

After a while, Zheng Xiaojue came in.

”Sister Xiao Yun, do you know what happened outside?” she asked.

”Wasn’t there a thief?” Zhou Yun replied, ”Did the police take her away?”

”Yes, they’ve taken her away.” Zheng Xiaojue clicked her tongue twice and said, ”Someone managed to sneak in.”

”It’s inevitable to have oversight with extras sneaking in.” Zhou Yun said, ”By the way, did anyone get their stuff stolen?”

”Not really,” Zheng Xiaojue shook her head, ”Everyone checked.”

”That’s good.”

Zhou Yun thought to herself, it was a good thing it was discovered today; if it had gone unnoticed, she couldn’t dare to think about the consequences.

After removing her makeup, Zhou Yun went back to the hotel.

She and Cheng Shenlv entered the hotel one after the other. Cheng Shenlv looked a bit uneasy upon seeing her, dodging her eyes.

Zhou Yun also knew why Cheng Shenlv was acting this way; the incident that happened before must have made Cheng Shenlv somewhat scared of her.

Zhou Yun nodded to her and didn’t say much, heading straight upstairs.

Cheng Shenlv returned to her room with her assistant. After the assistant left and the door was shut, she waited a while before her agent knocked on the door.

Seeing her agent, Cheng Shenlv nervously clutched her palm and couldn’t help but show a look of panic, saying, ”She was taken away by the police, she won’t sell us out, will she?”

”Don’t worry, the final payment hasn’t been made yet. If she wants to get that payment, she won’t expose us.” The agent smiled slightly, ”Since she dared to do this to you, we can’t let her get away with it. The items have already been placed in her dressing room, now we just wait for the rabbit.”

”Will it work?”

”Don’t worry, I’ve arranged everything,” the agent said.

Cheng Shenlv actually felt uneasy; when the agent proposed this plan, her instinct was to disagree, but remembering what Guan Siya had done to her before, she hardened her heart.

It was Guan Siya who was unkind first.

Moreover, the agent also said that Guan Siya had now completely turned against her, and the competition would get fiercer. If they didn’t find a way to widen the gap at this time, no one knows what Guan Siya would do next.

Cheng Shenlv could only suppress the unease in her heart and wait for the day when the incident would emerge into the open.

If Zhou Yun knew what she had done today, she would probably look at her even more coldly.

Cheng Shenlv revealed a bitter smile on the corner of her mouth.
