Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 779: Chapter 519: Good Luck on the First Day of Filming (Part 2)

Cheng Shenlv had never analyzed herself like this, but as Zhou Yun spoke each word, she knew that what Zhou Yun said was right.

”And fourthly, all the previous things, as long as you don’t let us know, I don’t care what you think. But the most mistake you made was foolishly sharing your thoughts with another person from the same company. Of course, it’s understandable since you are just starting your career and make such a novice mistake. I just want to tell you, your apology today is finally a right move after so many wrongs, but being right might not necessarily absolve previous grievances, nor will I forgive you just because you apologized. Miss Cheng, you are an actress. You won your role during the audition because of your acting skills and capabilities. We entrusted you with such an important role. No matter what, there’s still a long period of filming ahead. I hope you learn from this lesson and understand what you really should do.”

Tears fell from Cheng Shenlv’s eyes.

She bowed her head and nodded, ”I understand.”

”That’s all I have to say, you can leave now,” Zhou Yun said calmly.

Cheng Shenlv raised her arm, wiped her eyes, nodded her head, stood up, bowed again, and said, ”I’m sorry, Sister Xiao Yun, I will work hard.”

She left.

Zhou Yun sat on the sofa and sighed heavily.

It was really exhausting to seriously say all these things.

After Cheng Shenlv left Zhou Yun’s room, she went back to her own room. Her assistant was waiting for her at the door of her room.

Seeing Cheng Shenlv’s red eyes, the assistant asked in surprise, ”Shenlv, what happened to you?”

Cheng Shenlv shook her head, not wanting to say anything, ”I want to be alone for a while. I won’t have dinner tonight.”

The assistant acknowledged with an ”Oh.”

She looked at Cheng Shenlv worriedly.

But Cheng Shenlv did not say anything else and went back to her room, staying inside for the rest of the evening.

...

Later that night, Zheng Xiaojue came to Zhou Yun with the information she had gathered.

”Deep Sea?” Zhou Yun was somewhat surprised.

”Yes. It’s what Guan Siya’s assistant said. ’Deep Sea’ is a dual female lead drama, you and Yuk Chu will play together. For the third female lead, Yuehai was planning to choose between Guan Siya and Cheng Shenlv. Probably Guan Siya thought that doing so would make you displeased with Cheng Shenlv, so she spread out the words spoken privately by Cheng Shenlv.”

Zhou Yun did not expect this matter to be linked to the upcoming filming of a drama.

”Sister Xiao Yun, what are you planning to do? Forgive Cheng Shenlv and let her act, or let Guan Siya get what she wants?”

Zhou Yun thought for a moment and asked, ”Xiaoju, what do you think?”

”Although I also really don’t like Cheng Shenlv, I dislike people like Guan Siya even more for spreading others’ private words,” said Zheng Xiaojue. ”Regardless, the fact that Cheng Shenlv shared those words with her indicates that she trusted her, but Guan Siya betrayed Cheng Shenlv’s trust.”

Zhou Yun nodded.

”I share the same view as you.”

”Ah? Sister Xiao Yun, have you already decided to let Cheng Shenlv act?” Zheng Xiaojue asked in surprise.

”No, why must it be one of the two of them? There are other actresses for Yuehai’s role,” Zhou Yun said.

She contacted Zhou Lan to negotiate with Yuehai, sharing her opinion and what happened within the crew with Yuehai’s side.

Xu Jinbo’s response came quickly, telling Zhou Lan that very night that they would choose another actress for that role.

Guan Siya never expected that she would also end up being out of ’Deep Sea’.

”Why did they say the company was considering between me and Cheng Shenlv? Why am I out of the project when Cheng Shenlv is out too?”

The agent sighed and said, ”What else could it be? You’re disliked by Zhou Yun.”

”What? I didn’t offend her!” Guan Siya exclaimed in surprise.

”I don’t know the specific reason, but Xu Jinbo’s opinion is very firm. I’ve reached out to people, but they all say it’s a no-go and there’s no room for negotiation,” the agent said.

Guan Siya yelled out in anger.

But no matter how angry she was, it wouldn’t help at all.
