Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 798: Chapter 525: Another Conflict Arises (Part 3)

Before this, He Xuran’s action of hiring someone to stealthily photograph Liu Zhikun on the ”Four Killers” set made Zhou Yun always wary of He Xuran. She was not very willing to associate with him, let alone delve deeper into conversation. So when she saw that He Xuran intended to continue speaking, Zhou Yun was ready to interrupt him.

To her surprise, someone pushed the door open at that moment.

The person pushing the door was Xu Siyao.

Zhou Yun: ”...”

This was really unexpected. She had thought that Xu Siyao would no longer actively seek her out. Was Xu Siyao’s skin made of city walls?

How could it be so thick?

Xu Siyao walked in with a radiant smile, cooingly calling out ”Sister Xiao Yun,” as if they had returned to the time when she had first joined the company.

If Zhou Yun, although not fond of He Xuran, still maintained politeness on her face towards him, she did not bother to conceal her feelings toward Xu Siyao at all.

Zhou Yun truly could not understand Xu Siyao. Their discord was known throughout the whole industry, so why did she still like to play the sisterly love act in front of others?

”What are you here for?” Unexpectedly, Yuk Chu spoke up before Zhou Yun could, her expression stern, revealing her displeasure at the uninvited intrusion.

Xu Siyao let out a cold laugh, ”I’m not here to see you.”

Yuk Chu was not one to back down, retorting, ”Who do you think welcomes you here?”

Xu Siyao blinked and looked towards Zhou Jianfeng, saying, ”Little junior brother, you don’t welcome me?”

Yuk Chu was taken aback. She had not realized at the moment that Zhou Jianfeng and Xu Siyao were both artists signed under Chengqian Entertainment and it was natural for them to know each other.

She suddenly felt a bit embarrassed.

Zhou Jianfeng also felt embarrassed.

What Yuk Chu did not know was that Zhou Jianfeng and Xu Siyao shared another connection; both had the same agent, who was He Yong’s cousin, Yuh Jiangxing.

Under the current central agent system implemented by Chengqian Entertainment, it wouldn’t be inappropriate for Zhou Jianfeng to call Xu Siyao his senior sister.

Zhou Jianfeng was aware of the issues between Xu Siyao and Zhou Yun, but he had not expected to be confronted so soon with the conflict between the two.

Zhou Yun, however, did not want to make things difficult for Zhou Jianfeng, and stepped forward to say, ”Of course, Zhou Jianfeng welcomes you, but I don’t, this is a gathering of my crew, why do you ask Zhou Jianfeng if he welcomes you?”

Zhou Yun’s blunt words, not giving any face to Xu Siyao and exposing her, caused Xu Siyao to flush with anger, her face reddening and paling in turn.

Angrily, Xu Siyao retorted, ”Although Sister Xiao Yun has become a Movie Queen, there is no need for you to mock and scoff at me, right?”

”My mocking and scoffing at you has nothing to do with whether I’m a Movie Queen or not. Was I all smiles with you when I wasn’t a Movie Queen?” Zhou Yun sarcastically hit back, looking dissatisfiedly at He Xuran, ”It’s all your fault for bringing her here. Don’t you know how much I despise her?”

He Xuran’s eyes widened as he raised his hands, ”I’m innocent, she didn’t come with me!”

Xu Siyao immediately glared at him.

Zhou Yun looked at Xu Siyao, sneered, and said, ”Why do you still have this habit? Loving to impose yourself on others? Last time at the premiere, when you weren’t invited, you still showed up uninvited. What, do I need to hire a bodyguard to block you at the door every time I go out now?”

Fuming, Xu Siyao’s mouth twitched as she threw out the words ”Fine, you win!” before storming off in anger.

He Xuran reiterated, ”I really didn’t bring her here,” before he too left.

Once they were gone, Gu Huaichun, who loved to watch a good spectacle, clapped her hands and remarked, ”Eldest Sister Yun is mighty! Eldest Sister Yun’s words are always so sharp!”

Zhou Yun sent her a rolling eye.

Zhou Jianfeng said to Zhou Yun, ”Sorry.”

”What’s there to be sorry for? It has nothing to do with you; I just find her annoying.” Zhou Yun patted Zhou Jianfeng’s shoulder, ”Let’s continue having fun!”

The group played until ten o’clock at night before dispersing.

On the way back to the hotel, Zhou Yun saw that Zhou Jianfeng still looked somewhat apprehensive and knew he was still troubled by the Xu Siyao incident. After thinking it over, since it had nothing to do with ”Under the Grand Dress,” she directly said, ”Zhou Jianfeng, the issue between me and Xu Siyao is our own business; you don’t need to take sides. It has nothing to do with you. So, next time if you encounter such a situation, just play dumb, there’s no need to react to her provocations. You share an agent with her, and I can understand a lot of things, so don’t take it to heart.”
