Caught in Affairs with Superstar

Chapter 796: Chapter 525: Another Conflict Arises

Zhou Yun called Gu Huaichun, Yu Chu, and a few others.

It was good that the film was being shot in Shanghai; everyone lived in Shanghai, which made it easier to meet up.

Zhou Yun seldom went to bars, but this time it was to help Zhou Jianfeng overcome his mental blocks.

Song Chi was supposed to come too, but he was tied up with something unexpected at the last minute.

After the shoot, Zhou Yun dragged Zhou Jianfeng with her to the bar.

The other people on the film set were surprised to see the two of them getting into the same car because they rarely interacted in private.

On the way there, Zhou Yun curiously inquired about Zhou Jianfeng’s affairs.

”Do you have a girlfriend?”

This was one aspect that made Zhou Yun very satisfied with Chengqian Entertainment, as Chengqian Entertainment never interfered with its artists’ private lives. Of course, they wanted to control the artists’ social media, to keep them from speaking recklessly online, but they never had a situation like Yuehai, where dating wasn’t permitted.

So, asking Zhou Jianfeng this kind of question wasn’t taboo.

Zhou Jianfeng, who seemed restrained while sitting in the car, became even more tense upon hearing Zhou Yun’s question.

”Yes,” he said.

Zhou Yun asked excitedly, ”Is she from the industry as well? Or?”

”No, she is my high school classmate,” Zhou Jianfeng replied.

Hearing this, Zhou Yun was even more surprised and asked, ”You’ve been together since high school?”

Zhou Jianfeng smiled embarrassingly and said, ”Yeah, we got together pretty early.”

”I’ve never heard a whisper about this. Does the company know about her?” Zhou Yun asked curiously.

Zhou Jianfeng nodded and said, ”They know.”

”So what is she doing now?”

”She’s still studying,” Zhou Jianfeng answered. ”She’s better at academics than me.”

Zhou Yun had no idea that Zhou Jianfeng had a girlfriend and was genuinely surprised.

Zhou Jianfeng was an actor personally chosen and signed by He Yong to the company, and he was still a student at a drama school, usually busy with studies and needing to ask for leave for shoots. Zhou Yun didn’t know much about Zhou Jianfeng, just some basic information.

”Is she studying in Shanghai? Should we invite her to hang out?” Zhou Yun asked.

Zhou Jianfeng shook his head and said, ”She’s not in Shanghai.”

”Then we must meet her next time there’s a chance,” Zhou Yun said with a smile.

As for how to break down Zhou Jianfeng’s mental barriers so that he could act with her normally on set, Zhou Yun hadn’t thought of a good solution, but she felt that familiarity between the two of them would be best.

The more familiar Zhou Jianfeng became with her, the better he would understand what kind of person she was, and perhaps that could ease some of the worries in his mind.

That’s what Zhou Yun thought.

Arriving at the bar, Zhou Yun led Zhou Jianfeng straight into a private room.

The bar wasn’t packed at this hour, but it was still quite busy.

Zhou Jianfeng asked with surprise, ”Sister Xiao Yun, do you often come to bars?”

He had almost never seen any news about Zhou Yun frequenting bars.

”I’ve told you to stop calling me Sister Xiao Yun; I’m only a few years older than you,” Zhou Yun rolled her eyes at him, ”Just call me Zhou Yun.”

”Okay, Zhou, Zhou Yun,” Zhou Jianfeng replied awkwardly, scratching his head.

Zhou Yun said, ”I rarely come to bars, but I still enjoy it occasionally; I like lively places.”

Zhou Jianfeng had a sudden realization.

Zhou Yun asked, ”Where do you usually hang out? Being a student, you must go to bars often, right?”

”Uh, if I’m with classmates, I go to bars more, but we prefer places like karaoke, board game cafes—bars are too noisy,” Zhou Jianfeng responded.

”Do you know of any good escape room places? I’ve always been quite interested in trying escape rooms,” Zhou Yun said.

Zhou Jianfeng nodded, ”I’ve been to many realistic escape rooms with my classmates; I’ll sort out the addresses and send them to you later.”

”Don’t bother sorting them out; we still have so much shooting ahead. When we’re not filming in the evening, you should take us all to play escape rooms,” Zhou Yun suggested.

Zhou Jianfeng froze, his eyes widening in surprise.

Zhou Yun added, ”I’ll leave it to you.”

Zhou Jianfeng blurted a panicked response.

He was confused, wasn’t it said that Zhou Yun never went out to play during filming? Wasn’t it known that Zhou Yun would stay in the hotel every evening to read scripts and memorize lines during a film shoot?

Zhou Yun’s attitude left Zhou Jianfeng full of doubts. The days he had spent working with Zhou Yun had given him a clear understanding of her; whether it was her natural acting talent, her dedication, or her genuine personality and interactions with others, none were fabricated facades but truly consistent. If such rumors had spread about Zhou Yun in the past, it meant that was how she had indeed behaved during previous shoots, and now suddenly changing...
