Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 750, Frost Dragon King

Translator: Silavin

Hearing the Devouring Dragon King say as much, Lu Fan decided not to overthink matters any further.

They just had to deal with the matters at hand and take it slow, one step at a time. Rather than pondering so much now, it would be better to find ways to enhance his strength, and then eventually fulfil his promise.

When he truly gained the qualifications to stand before the Dragon Kings of the Dragon Domain and have his voice heard, perhaps there might still be hope of saving the Dragon Domain.

He stored this ice-sealed section of an Ancient God into his Inventory, planning to hand it over to the scholars of Dragon Country for research when he returned.

Subsequently, he turned his gaze towards another item, the Dragon Egg.

This was the second Dragon Egg that Lu Fan had discovered without going through a Treasure Chest. Moreover, it was still a Dragon King Egg.

Dragon Egg: (Mythical Grade Special Item)
Description: Dragon Taming Skill can be used on it to tame it. Upon successful use, obtain Dragon Pet – Frost Dragon King – Winter Calamity (Baby Dragon).

Indeed, this was a Dragon Egg condensed by the Frost Dragon King, ready to be reborn into a new life.

Although the Frost Dragon King had lost all its Levels, its inherent Grade had not diminished, it remained a Mythical Grade Dragon King.

Such a Dragon Egg, if obtained by someone other than a Dragon Tamer, would likely be quite difficult to hatch.

For Lu Fan, however, this could not be any easier. He could simply use Dragon Taming to hatch it.

Although this place was located within Frost Dragon Icy Sky, a High Level Map, the area where the Frost Dragon King’s carcass lay had no Monsters in it. Thus, Lu Fan simply sat down cross-legged on the spot and casted Dragon Taming on this Dragon Egg.

This Frost Dragon King’s Dragon Egg was vastly different from other Dragon Eggs. It was incredibly cold to the touch, that even Lu Fan felt his hands freezing when holding it.

Its appearance was even more exquisite, like an azure crystal stone, with ice crystal patterns throughout its texture.

It was a diamond-like object that would surely have tremendous appeal for girls.

Setting aside other considerations, if there really were such a large gemstone, it could probably fetch a good price.

Lu Fan endured the frigid air, cradling it in his hands while continuously casting Dragon Taming without pause.

This Frost Dragon King Egg was not like Xiao Ye’s Dragon Egg. It was so rebellious that Lu Fan had spent enormous amounts of time unable to Tame it.

This time, in less than half an hour, Dragon Taming finally took effect, successfully making the Frost Dragon King acknowledge him as its Master.

The same scene as before unfolded. Brilliant light emanated from the Dragon Egg, accompanied by the sound of Eggshell cracking.

However, this time differed from previous occasions. The moment the Eggshell shattered, an astonishing chill immediately spread outward. Even Lu Fan could feel the bone-piercing cold enveloping him, followed by fine ice crystals beginning to condense on his body.

As the light faded, Lu Fan looked down and indeed saw a Baby Dragon sitting in half an Eggshell within the Dragon Egg in his hands, munching on the Eggshell with great relish.

This Baby Dragon was essentially a miniaturised Frost Dragon King, while also being somewhat more adorable in appearance. Its aura of cold made Lu Fan dare not casually pet it.

Lu Fan had the distinct feeling that touching it would be like touching the iron railings in the Northeast of China during winter, back in his previous life on Blue Star. If he touched it, his flesh might get stuck to it.

While this Baby Frost Dragon King was eating its Eggshell, Lu Fan opened his Pet Panel and began examining its Attributes.

Frost Dragon King – Winter Calamity (Infant Phase):
Level: 1

Gender: Female

Strength: 151

Agility: 378

Mana: 1,194

Endurance: 738

Skills:

Frost Dragon Skin (Passive, LV1) – Have the naturally tough skin of the Frost Dragon Clan. Any attack blocked by this skin is reduced by 50%.

Frost Dragon Bloodline (Passive, LV Max) – Having the Bloodline of the Frost Dragon Clan, had naturally Immunity to Negative Status Effects and can negate all Debuffs.

Frost Dragon Physique (Passive, LV1) – Have the Physique of the Frost Dragon Clan, naturally suited for battle. Self-Healing and Recovery Speed increased by 500%.

Frost Spring (Passive, LV Max) – Frost Dragons possess bodies most suited for casting Dragon Language Magic. Endless Magic Power flows within them, allowing them to freely cast any Dragon Language Magic without rest

Winter Aura (Passive, LV1) – Frost Dragons naturally carries the aura of the deep cold, capable of directly reducing the overall Speed of their surrounding enemies.

Deepfreeze Breath (Active Skill, LV1) – Releases a Dragon Breath forward, dealing massive Damage to enemies while applying powerful Crowd Control Effects. Crowd Control Effects are stackable, and when stacked to a certain number, the Movement Speed Reduction will be transformed into the Frozen Status Effect.

Indeed, the Attributes of a Dragon King remained consistently formidable!

The Frost Dragon King was undoubtedly a Magic Attack Specialised Pet Dragon, so Lu Fan naturally compared her with Bao Bao, who was also a Magic Attack Specialised Pet Dragon.

Purely in terms of Attributes, Bao Bao had higher Mana, but his Endurance was outclassed by the Frost Dragon King.

As for skills, both had essentially similar Passive Skills, differing only in name.

Additionally, the Frost Dragon King possessed one extra Passive Skill called Winter Aura.

This Skill was truly somewhat overpowered. As long as the Frost Dragon King existed, she would inflict Overall Speed Reduction onto her surrounding enemies.

Lu Fan had actually already experienced this Skill Effect firsthand.

Even someone as powerful as him, who possessed 100% Debuff Resistance, had his Overall Speed reduced by around 50%. What more could be said for ordinary people?

He estimated that once the Frost Dragon King matured further, she might not even need to take action. Wherever she went, she could unleash blizzards, freezing all surrounding enemies.

The other skill, Deepfreeze Breath, was something Lu Fan was familiar with. It should be the Skill he had experienced during the final trial of the Seven Trials.

The powerful Crowd Control Effect of this Skill remained vivid in Lu Fan’s memory even now.

This Skill not only packed a tremendous punch, but more importantly, the Crowd Control Effect it cases was truly formidable!

The Frost Dragon King’s Skills destined her to never to become a Spell casting machine gun like Bao Bao, but the Crowd Control Effects she could bring in actual combat were truly incomparable to any Pet Dragon, including Support Specialised Dragon like Ji Ji.

Lu Fan could even envision having the Frost Dragon King Crowd Control enemies while Ji Ji applied her poison. The two Pet Dragons’ Crowd Control Effects would stack with each other, leaving opponents unable to run or move, only to be tormented by toxins.

[Damn. What kind of terrifying scene would that be? And this is merely with the Attributes of a Level 1 Frost Dragon King. She has yet to comprehend many more Skills.]

Lu Fan knew she still possessed abilities such as creating that ice crystal armour surrounding her body. These Skills should be unlocked once she reaches a Higher Level.
